Says the Sun:
“SUSPICIOUS the trip was postponed from the day before – because Gerry had intestinal problems.
“’STRANGE’” that the couple from Rothley, Leics, chose to visit Spain on a national holiday, when the shops were shut.
“MYSTERIOUS that the McCanns racked up ‘unjustified mileage’ in their Renault Scenic – hired 25 days after Maddie disappeared.”
A source says a new ad campaign to find Madeleine will start in two weeks.
DAILY MAIL page 3: “Police use CCTV to map McCanns trips.”
As newspaper Correio de Manha reports, Spanish police have given their Portuguese counterparts CCTV footage “showing the Renault Scenic in places in Spain where there was ‘no reason’ for the couple to be.”
A TV series based on Madeleine McCann is being produced in Chile. Says Chilean newspaper El Mercurio: “The case is becoming a soap opera.”
DAILY MIRROR front page: “KATE IS SO FRAGILE. Fears for mum after latest blow.”
Kate McCann’s face is all over the front page. “The anguish is plain to see.” A friend hears that Madeleine had not been found in Morocco: “Kate is so fragile. She’s suffering a devastating disappointment.”

Stevo… The Virginia Tech killer did, in fact, have a long and documented history of mental illness, so what are you talking about here? Not to mention, he scared the heck out of his classmates way back in HIGH SCHOOL, his former college roommates were also frightened by him,e tc. I’ve seen ZERO suggestion that anyone in Kate and Gerry’s past has anything negative to say about them (other, of course, than Kate being so darn PRETTY and BLONDE and WELL COIFFED, that guilty bi*ch!)

Tanner was the first witness to the hen’s egg who stole a human baby. Her recollection came to weeks after Madeleine disappeared and was so vague PJ didn’t take it seriously and who could blame them?
Then suddenly a short time later Tanner had another amazing bout of spontaneous recall but this time her memories were crystal clear down to the stitching on the man’s shoes (Italian most likely as are most criminals).
Then (please be seated and not be drinking or eating anything) after repeatedly having stated he saw no one that evening carrying a child wrapped in a blanket - Gerry suddenly had an epiphany. He too saw the same man Tanner witnessed. And amazingly Gerry also gave the same exact updated detailed version of the perp!
Doctors have incredible brains - they are so intelligent, wise and simply amazing at brain games and mind f*%K$.

If you must know, I’m a paid journalist of 20 years in the USA. I did not say, at any point, that I think the British or Portugese press are doing a terrible job. However, I see from here they are all working under ridiculous circumstances that we would never encounter in the USA due to these secrecy laws. A lot of the problems with what’s going on in the media over there in Europe, regarding Madeleine, is due exclusively to the Portugese Secrecy Laws. Due to those laws, nearly everything that is printed or aired in ANY of the newspapers/TV stations is suspect, completely suspect. To me, that means that ALL the information we have for this case — including a lot of the information you folks here on Anorak use to point to the McCann’s guilt (sniffer dogs, blood in the apartment, 40 questions they refused to answer, etc etc) is to me very suspect. I suspect a good percentage of it is not even true. I’m absolutely astonished at how much information has been printed about this case (in both British and Portugese media) that turned out 100 percent false the very next day. It’s really absurd.
So no, I’m not naive. I just see a lot of people on this site who take information from certain sources and want to use it to build their theoretical cases. But the truth is, that information they are using is NO more reliable than information coming straight from Kate McCann’s mouth. THe truth is , the public here has close to no solid information… nearly all of it is rumor , innuendo, falsehood, intentional misleading from the PJ or the McCanns. So all this theory building, I frankly find appalling and digusting, not to mention truly irrational.
I’ll grant you that MOST cases of child disappearance are directly related to the parents or close relative. However, I see no evidence of that here, nor do I see evidence of kidnap. So what are we to do? I suggest: We stop trying to convict the McCanns based on false information.
Of course, that wouldn’t be NEARLY as much fun now, would it?

there are some things about this case that are true. One being that Gerry McCann told his relatives in Scotland that the appartment had been broken into.

Yes, of course, there were plenty of killers who chopped up their victims. However, I’m pretty sure these were (typically) people with very obvious mental health issues, with criminal histories, with warped pasts, sexual abuse evident, people unable to hold down jobs, etcetera.
By contrast. For not one (Kate), not two (Kate and Gerry), but NINE people (Tapas 9) — nine law-abiding, apparently decent people, people with no history of mental illness — to agree to stay quiet after a child is KILLED AND DISMEMBERED and held for three months before being disposed of…?. I mean, dude, that is a seriously wacked out theory. I’d have to say, that is about as likely as aliens landing and taking Madeleine for their own nefarious Inter-breeding of Celestial Species program. Please.

Maybe you mean well but if you truly do believe the UK media or the Portuguese media are following ethical journalistic guidelines covering this investigation then please get thee to any local university library and seriously read a few books on journalism 101 and then after that read up on how the media influences the masses and the connection between media and government/large coorporations.
You sound very sweet and extremely gullible. A dangerous childlike combination which could do you much harm. It would be prudent to be a little more squint eyed rather than wide eyed and a little cynical rather than a Pollyana.
I mean absolutely no offense. I used to be very much like you. However, after learning of real life murder cases where the psychopath (that would be the murderer) had fooled everyone and then studying criminal behavior and the various disorders which typically accompany these damaged minds - I can no longer be so naive and trusting.

It would not be every day that the coastguard radar would pick up a boat in the Algarve - it is not as if there are many boats there, not like your average seaside holiday area - though there was a yacht owned by an Englishman that left a week or so later - he was English, the Doctors McCann are English - plainly, he must have helped them

#497 and 442. Had not seen this video before. Reminds me of a Royal visit. And the balloon thing yesterday. It is all OTT. These people have lost their daughter for goodness sake. Still, it must be very difficult for the McCanns to go from this level of adulation to where they are now. They really need to get a handle of their PR machine and remind themselves WHY they are ‘celebrities’. Because of missing Madeleine.

In the video of June 5, kate is wearing a yellow outfit with a yellow ribbon in her hair. To Maury or whoever it was that said Kate was wearing the same clothes for the first 3 months - can you show us where Kate wore that outfit on another day?
