“’STRANGE’” that the couple from Rothley, Leics, chose to visit Spain on a national holiday, when the shops were shut.
“MYSTERIOUS that the McCanns racked up ‘unjustified mileage’ in their Renault Scenic – hired 25 days after Maddie disappeared.”
A source says a new ad campaign to find Madeleine will start in two weeks.

As newspaper Correio de Manha reports, Spanish police have given their Portuguese counterparts CCTV footage “showing the Renault Scenic in places in Spain where there was ‘no reason’ for the couple to be.”
A TV series based on Madeleine McCann is being produced in Chile. Says Chilean newspaper El Mercurio: “The case is becoming a soap opera.”
DAILY MIRROR front page: “KATE IS SO FRAGILE. Fears for mum after latest blow.”
Kate McCann’s face is all over the front page. “The anguish is plain to see.” A friend hears that Madeleine had not been found in Morocco: “Kate is so fragile. She’s suffering a devastating disappointment.”

To all those that say Kate and Gerry looked less than well groomed in the first 4 months, I’m having trouble locating them wearing the same clothes twice on different dates. They seem to have an enormous wardrobe.

So true. I’ve noticed and others on Anorak that there are no photos of Kate wearing the Madeleine tee? Also in the beginning her and Gerry often dressed in matching outfits. But since this month I don’t see this coordination any longer. However, Kate does match her outfits with Mitchell’s.

My estranged father has NPD. It is the worst personality I have ever encountered. I once applied for a job in San Diego close to where he lived at the time. 2 days after I applied, he told me to call them to chase up the application. I told him the ad distinctly said not to phone. Cutting a long story short, he phoned the company and spoke to their CEO and told them they were assholes for not replying to me sooner. Needless to say I didn’t get the job.

When they realized they were going to have to be in Portugal longer than 10 days they did what any couple would do if their missing child was possibly in the hands of pedophiles (I know ya’ll stick an ‘a’ in there somewhere)

Forgive me just one more thing,maybe some of you can help me out here,cos sometimes ya know I aint to bright,what with being a cop and smokin and other things,I’m puzzled.Why do the PJ insist that the child is dead,why has the Prosecutor stated that the parents will escape justice if the child’s body is not found.Now call me stupid or anything else you like,but while you are all pissin in the wind,maybe just maybe the PJ know something that we don’t,now wouldn’t that be something and what about the British cops working on the case,don’t hear them contradicting the PJ !!!!!!!

656. Yes it is crazy. That’s why were are discussing this case. It was crazy of the McCanns to leave 3 very little children alone without supervision. And everything from their statement that it was like getting loaded in our garden to the eggheaded child napper who furnished his own blanket for the abduction to Gerry recently claiming he was in the apartment as the same time as the napper - it is ALL crazy.
However, I never once said Kate was crazy, nor Gerry. Please read up on psychopaths, Narcissistic Personality Disorder and other ills oft connected to criminal minds- a person does not have to be crazy or insane to murder. Those with NPD do whatever they wish without any remorse and feel they are doing right and are above the law. They wouldn’t crack unless they lost their money, position, prestige etc…And even with those things gone they may go on and be the type to make several million writing a book about their “ordeal” and then the talk show circuit, public speaking arrangements about how precious children are and finally the book is sold to make a movie.
Side note: Narcissists tend to vehemently hate children as well. They don’t like anything or anyone who takes the limelight away from themselves. It’s “malignant self-love”. Something I believe Gerry exudes naturally and brilliantly.
Oh and I don’t believe the entire group is in on what happened. Just 2 besides the McCanns. The others are merely pompous self righteous narcissistic doctors who already have an iron clad oath when it comes to possible criminal negligence or any criticism against another doctor.

When the Portuguese police searched for Madeleine at the beginning, do you think they missed out the freezer?
I would have thought it would have been an obvious place to look myself. You should ALWAYS eliminate family members first in a missing child case. A 100% thorough search should have been carried out in the first few days.
Maybe it was the same officers, though, who missed the McCanns moving and burying Madeleine’s body on the way to Huelva (or maybe Fatima?) or didn’t notice them hiring a boat and taking it out to sea with a big bag between them? Or maybe it was the same officers who missed the McCanns taking bits of their daughter’s body to the church each day as they went to pray?
If they have allowed the McCanns to move a body previously so well hidden that they themselves couldn’t find it, they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.
They should be sacked for total incompetence.

I think you suggested that there should be a once-and-for-all press conference or interview to give the facts from the McCanns’ point of view in order to stop the current spate of leaks? I too wish that could happen. It would be so much better. However, officially, they are not allowed to speak because they are arguidos. Even the tapas friends may not speak because they are official witnesses. At no point since the events of 3rd May have the McCanns been in a position to talk openly about the investigation and say exactly what happened on 3rd May.
They are still official suspects, and however unlikely it looks at the moment given the apparent lack of any evidence, there is the possibility that they will be charged if some evidence does actually emerge. (I assume the police have no evidence or they would have been charged by now.) They cannot speak out openly yet.

This page is Gerry in the USA being interviewed (82 days after May 3).
It also says in the editorial:
“However, they have been unable to defend themselves against allegations of a “cover-up”.
This is because under Portuguese privacy laws, the McCanns and others are banned from publicly talking about the police investigation.”
So, it seems that they did use the secrecy laws as their reason to not speak.

I’ve spent my spare time over the last few days doing a little research into decomposition …
1. Rigor Mortis is most often not apparent in babies and small children, meaning that the body will remain pliant ( a child Madeleine’s size could be fitted fairly easily into somthing like a rucksack).
If left above ground then a body would be virtually liquefied after 4 weeks … however a body buried without a coffin (which allows air to circulate) takes eight times longer to decompose at every stage. This is irrespective of climate.
So … a body buried directly in the ground would, after 4 weeks, be in a similar condition to an unburied body after 3 to 4 days - ie outwardly unchanged apart from some discolouration to the skin and ‘flattening’ of muscled areas over bone. Internal organs would have started to liquefy (bacteria works its was from the inside out in the decomposition process), so there would be a little smell and some leakage from bodily orifices, but it would not be the disintegrating corpse that most people would imagine.
No need for freezers or refrigeration (incidentally, freezing a body produces molecular changes that are easily detectable forensically) - straightforward burial in drained ground would be perfectly adequate….

Krissie we are all speculating (Pro McC’s and Con McC’s) and some of us are are a wee bit more morbid than others. We are basing all of our theories on information leaked by the ‘press’, reactions of the McC’s and are spinning out possible scenarios on a daily basis based on what we find on TV, Tabs and Internet. And we all reserve the right to change our opinions based on the most recent leak. Hopefully the real truth will come out soon.
(I’m personally still with accidental death with at least 3 of the Tapas 9 involved.)
But if Maddy were to show up today alive and well we would all rejoice and bash the McC’s for leaving them alone and go on to the next sensational case.

Detectives are said to be working on the theory that the couple, who are formal suspects in the case, accidentally killed their daughter and covered it up - a claim strenuously denied by them.
Portuguese newspaper Diario de Noticias claimed that between 7pm and 8.30pm - while Mr McCann was playing tennis - neither Madeleine nor Mrs McCann were seen.
advertisementIt said police believed this was when the girl died and that her body allegedly “passed through various locations” before eventually being put in the boot of the couple’s hire car and dumped.
The newspaper said Portuguese police were “carrying out non-visible operations and locating apartments with fridges” in the Praia da Luz area.
But a source close to the McCanns dismissed the theory as “total rubbish”.
“Have you seen the size of the fridges in those apartments?” he said.
“Of course they did not stuff her in a fridge.” Referring to the “lost” 90 minutes, the source added: “Kate was not in the apartment alone with Madeleine.
“Both Kate and Gerry been playing tennis then they put her to bed together and were then down for dinner by 8.20pm.”
Mr Mitchell also hit back at the increasingly wild claims being circulated in Portugal.
“It’s just utterly ridiculous allegation after allegation - unsourced, unsubstantiated and unnamed,” he said.
