“Satellite and aerial footage as well as internet traffic should be used to help the hunt,” say “intelligence experts”, including Professor Anthony Glees, Director of Brunel University’s Centre for Intelligence and Security Studies. Security is his thing.

Pages 6 and 7: “POLICE PROBE LOST 2 HOURS” – Police Claim the McCanns buried Madeleine during a “missing two hours” in Spain.
Kate and Gerry are “shattered”.
Says the Sun:
“SUSPICIOUS the trip was postponed from the day before – because Gerry had intestinal problems.
“’STRANGE’” that the couple from Rothley, Leics, chose to visit Spain on a national holiday, when the shops were shut.
“MYSTERIOUS that the McCanns racked up ‘unjustified mileage’ in their Renault Scenic – hired 25 days after Maddie disappeared.”
A source says a new ad campaign to find Madeleine will start in two weeks.
DAILY MAIL page 3: “Police use CCTV to map McCanns trips.”
As newspaper Correio de Manha reports, Spanish police have given their Portuguese counterparts CCTV footage “showing the Renault Scenic in places in Spain where there was ‘no reason’ for the couple to be.”
A TV series based on Madeleine McCann is being produced in Chile. Says Chilean newspaper El Mercurio: “The case is becoming a soap opera.”
DAILY MIRROR front page: “KATE IS SO FRAGILE. Fears for mum after latest blow.”
Kate McCann’s face is all over the front page. “The anguish is plain to see.” A friend hears that Madeleine had not been found in Morocco: “Kate is so fragile. She’s suffering a devastating disappointment.”

I think if you have the mentality to leave your kids at night then anything is possible. Nothing the McCanns do surprises me anymore.
I feel no sympathy for neglectful parents because I have a natural instinct to want to protect children. Madeleine - and hey, let’s not forget Sean and Amelie were also left unprotected. Gerry’s interview in the USA saying it was like being in your back garden makes me sick.
So what normal person has a huge swimming pool, tennis courts, apartment blocks and a Tapas restaurant in their back garden?
If a child were to wake up in that room it would be a nightmare. It wouldn’t be like being in their own bedroom in Rothley. Those apartments are very minimally decorated with a hard cold tile floor - they never have carpets. The window would be shut with screens making it so dark in there. What a nightmare for a toddler to wake up crying and have nobody in there to respond? What were the McIdiots thinking?

Batman, yes. And I don’t think that EVERYTHING out there is misleading/false. There have been a few OFFICIAL statements from the PJ, and a few OFFICIAL statements/offerings from McCann (more and more lately). Those are the things reported by, say, CNN. But most of the theories on here, and other sites, are based not only on the official statements from McCann and PJ, but on dozens upon dozens of misleading, ridiculous and flat-out false statements in newspapers across the entire world. Heck, there are Asian and Australian newspapers competing in here too. But basically, let’s remember, about 90 percent of what we are citing when we try to theorize about their guilt or lack thereof is FALSE INFORMATION. As i’ve said a dozen times here, I don’t know if they are guilty, but NEITHER DOES ANYONE ELSE. (Well, OK, except Gerry and Kate themselves).

anonymous, I agree, they COULD Step out of the limelight any time they wanted to (fire the PR team, etc). But I have to say, in their shoes, I’m really not sure I would. I would want this case in the public eye every single second, and I would want to clear my name, and I would want everyone talking about it day and night so no one would forget what my daughter looked like, even if it meant I was viciously maligned and verbally slaughtered in online forums. As for not appealing directly to Madeleine and offering assurance, I really don’ tknow, except to say, several mothers who (it turned out) killed their own children DID appeal directly to their children on national TV … Susan what’sherface, etc. So I don’t really think this means a darn thing. The McCanns have, many times, appealed directly to their children’s KIDNAPPER. Show? Maybe. But I don’t think anything they have done is all that weird… Even Gerry’s blogging. I grant you that the McCanns are a profoundly irritating and irresponsible duo. However, that doesn’t make them guilty of murder.

Can you imagine? Your daughter disappeared and you claim a child snatching ring for black market adoptions has taken her. OR worse yet a paedophile ring has abudcted her. And yet you feel comfortable enough to travel around the world and leave your other two children with someone else? You are mentally and emotionally able to stop hugging the twins so you can go to the paedo-playground aka The Vatican and meet fucking Bozo Gonzales in the States?
Would really be able to leave you children alone even though technically *supervised* wouldn’t you feel the need to “be there” with them especially so soon after Madeleine vanished?

I know what you mean about not posting personal stuff. I’m honest and tell what’s gone on in my life but I do try to keep it as non-specific as I can for obvious reasons. I am certainly glad I found him because now I have an extended family and I was very pleased to trace my paternal ancestry to my great-great-great grandparents dating from the middle of the 1800s. Some good definitely came out of the bad.
If you want to email sometime it would be good to hear your story.

This would be an interesting experiment. I think I’m GOING to create a second personality/name, and come on here (and some other Madeleine forums) and “create” a few “Facts.” I’m not sure what– something sort-of innoccuous and yet potentially meaningful (I’ll have to sleep on it). I’ll come on here, and some other forums, and for several days post many times these things as “facts.” Then go away. I guarantee, for days and weeks afterwards, other people will repeat them as facts, and soon it will become simple accepted as fact, even though it started as an intentional lie on my part.
This is what has been going on, with the McCann case.

You bring up a lot ofvalif points and intelligent observations however you seem to fail to realise the McCanns can leave the limelight they created whenever they wish. gerry doesn’t have to blog. They can write updates on the Madeleine site. For heaven’s sake they must understand how bizarre it is that they are making money off of their missing daughter? How strange it is that they’ve never addressed Madeleine directly on tv or radio as other missing parents do to offer their children hope and so that the child can hear their voice filled with love and concern for them with the thought that maybe their child will be near a tv or radio. I mean surely the McCanns have themselves witnessed the media coverage of other missing children and can recall how other parents’ reacted and what actions these parents took?
They can leave the public domaine whenever they like. This circus is all their making. The responsibility for Madeleine vanishing falls squarely on their shoulders imho.

I found it difficult to imagine that parents who might have been involved in this mishap could go back and eat and drink (unless under sedation themselves or had taken “happy” pills) and I was talking about this with a friend and he said, that’s the time you need a good drink, maybe not the eating, but the drinking.
I wonder how much they ate. We hear much about the drinking but not the eating.

#684 - actually I think we might have hit a raw nerve there. Can’t believe anyone would be that rude about someone else’s personal experience.
One small example from ‘my’ NPD. She told her children (aged 6 and 7 at that time) that she had cancer and only 6 months to live and that in the meantime they would have to look after her really well. Needless to say she did not have cancer.
Like you - I could fill a book with the evil things this person did, and yet it you met her you would think I must be just making up malicious stories. Truly terrifying and needs to be experienced at first hand to be really understood.
