Madeleine McCann: Amaral Policing, Secrets Out And EastEnders
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann.
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE: PORTUGUESE POLICE CHIEF IS SACKED AFTER AMAZING OUTBURST.”
Page 9: “Madeleine detective kicked off case after blasting British police” – Chief inspector Goncalo Amaral says: “The British police have only been working on what the McCann couple want them to and what suits them.”
Says Amaral: “The Ocean Club is in Praia da Luz, not in London…It won’t be an email, and an anonymous one at that, which will distract our line of investigation.”
Mr Amaral is making reference to the email sent to the official website of the Prince of Wales last week claming a vengeful nanny had abducted Madeleine.
Pages 30 and 31: “HAIR-RAISING TRUTH ABOUT THE PSYCHIC BARBER – During the day Gordon Smith cuts hair, at night he claims he communes with the spirits. So does he really think he can help the McCanns find Madeleine?”
THE WORLD’S GREATEST NEWSPAPER confirms that former EastEnders actress Michelle Collins is a “BELIEVER”.
DAILY MAIL page 7: “Off the case. Madeleine police chief demoted after amazing rant against McCanns and British detectives”
Say Amaral: “They [the English] have been investigating tip-offs and information created and worked upon by the McCanns”
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE: CHIEF COP SACKED.”
Page 10: “INSPECTOR CLUELESS GETS THE BOOT”
Page 11: “If Maddie IS dead she will tell me where he body is” – Says Gordon Smith
DAILY MIRROR front page: “Maddy copper is axed”
Page 7: “OFF THE CASE – Boozy cop is demoted after furious outburst against the McCanns”
THE SUN page 7: “MADDIE COP FIRED FOR McCANNS RANT – storm as bungler says family duped Brit police”
Comments Clarence Mitchell: “I can confirm that Kate and Gerry are aware of this development but we cannot comment”
THE GUARDIAN page 7: “Detective leading hunt for Madeleine sacked after blast at UK police” – Mr Amaral is 47. He has been demoted. He is 48 in the Sun. Such are the facts
Carols Pinto de Abreu, the McCanns’ Portuguese lawyer, says: “The McCanns cannot confess to something they did not do and cannot and should not lie to please the police”
THE INDEPENDENT page 8: “Detective leading Madeleine hunt dropped from case after outburst” – Amaral is being investigated over an alleged attack on the mother of a different missing girl. Read about that here
THE TIMES front page: “Detective in charge of McCann case sacked”
Page 9: “Madeleine detective sacked after outburst”
Alipio Ribeiro, Amaral’s boss, says: “The police should be discreet and keep quiet, but there is always someone who talks” – So much for those secrecy laws
DAILY TELEGRAPH page 15: “Madeleine inquiry chief sacked after attack on British police”
A “family friend” of the McCanns says: “What he [Mr Amaral] is saying is just plain wrong. Leicestershire Police are not doing anything on Kate and Gerry’s behalf. They are simply there for liaison. There is certainly no strategy to distract form the Portuguese investigation”
What investigation?

ADVICE TO ALL
Forget trying to have a meaningful dicussion with Maura (unless you think the McCs are “100% innocent)… it’s clearly not possible.
She reminds me of once of those elderly aunties invited round once a year for Christmas dinner, slightly deaf, worse for ware on the sherry front, smilling at you while patronising you.

Brandonflours - do you still have that psychic link?
October 3rd, 2007 at 12:47 pm
oops missed your post 250 Maura.
Thanks for the response. Now I’m wondering how long it takes meat to rot in shopping bags left in the boot of a car. (-: Anyone know?
But didn’t the McCann source say that it was because they had no collectable bins at the villa and that they had to ferry bin bags - some of which held rotting meat - to a local dumpster?
Problem for me is that I’m trying to understand how the meat - must have been raw -
Got to such a point of decomposition where it could leak through a bin bag.
Why I’m having a problem with this is because it’s straight from the horses mouth - McCann’s - so to speak and I’m trying to make it add up.
Personally, I have never had rotten meat in my bin bags. Meat is stored in the F/F, when used fat is cut off and binned.

We are in agreement Peter, but unfortunately “semantics” does not help in a legal environment. To take action against the McCanns the authorities would need to demonstrate that they were intentionally negligent. By virtue of being shabby parents, legally they could not be taken to task.

246 Maicen.
I am sorry to hear of you and your children’s pain and suffering.
I myself am the son of two abusive churchgoing doctors. They really are liars of the highest order. My whole extended family are doctors and professionals and when I finally got free of them not one came to ask my side of the story. Fortunately I met a good woman and now have two adorable children who are not abused or neglected. These facts either give me an unnatural bias or an experienced insight to this whole sad affair.
I really have to go now, but i’ll be back.

http://www.chargesyndrome.org/about-charge.asp
What causes CHARGE syndrome?
CHARGE syndrome is a genetic condition, caused by a change (mutation) in a single gene, most often CHD7. In August, 2004, the first major gene for CHARGE syndrome was reported by a group of researchers in the Netherlands. The gene is CHD7, located on the long arm of chromosome #8. It is a regulatory gene which plays a role in turning other genes on and off. Changes (mutations) in this gene have been found in more than half of all children with CHARGE tested to date. In the vast majority, the mutation was new in the child - not detected in the parents. This confirms that CHARGE syndrome is a genetic condition caused by a new mutation in a dominant gene. Further research is needed to find other genes that can cause CHARGE and to determine the function of the CHARGE genes in the developing fetus, babies, children and adults.

(250) Maura - “his case seems to be built on DNA and sniffer dogs all which can be explained.”
Please do - rotting meat will not confuse a cadaver dog
However I do agree wholeheartedly with you that we need to flush and bust the Paed Rings.

‘The Mcanns were the ones who insisted that they get a Soc.Svcs visit not the way you are trying to portray it.’
Have Leicestershire Social Services confirmed this?
Also would you please very kindly back up the following comment for me please -
You change and twist things ie. you have somehow managed to twist my condemnation for a represetative of an organisation to be a condemnation of the organisation itself.
Yours ever so appreciatively

If all parents were pursued by the authorities for simply “shabby parenting skills” then there would be too many for the “authorities” to handle.
The bottom line is that the McCanns were wilfully negligent. They knew what they were doing in leaving her and the twins alone and repeatedly did so until Madeleine disappeared. They are therefore much more culpable than being guilty of “shabby parenting.”

Is that you again WILLS?
“I, an outsider have noticed how fixed and aggressive you are in putting your case….can’t you open your mind wide enough to have just 1% doubt of ‘innocence’?”
What facts?
and Maicen everyone here speaks from their own experience to a degree. This is why I believe that you have such a low opinion of the Mcs.
I thankfully have had a fairly normal life which might explain why I would expect the MCs to be normal also.
October 3rd, 2007 at 12:35 pm
I’m sure this has been rehashed before but
Was there something ‘wrong’ with Madeleine?
Asking because you never hear her talk in few videos they show of her and Gerry said she couldn’t open a door. They do not tell us anything about her on her website - It’s all about them! Then the Psychic in that link Brandonflours had yesterday hinted at an illness or defect.
Just curious.

The McCann’s are at best culpable and at worst complicit in Madeleine’s disappearance. You sound like your defending them pending a saint hood. Even if they are 100% innocent of ANY involvement in Madeleine’s current whereabouts they have still failed Madeleine in the lead up to the events of May 3rd.
I, like the vast majority of people I suspect, would wish for nothing more than for Madeleine to be found and returned safe and well to her family. In the unlikely event that ever happened, I would be extremely disappointed if the relevant authorities didn’t then pursue the McCann’s to the fullest possible extent of the law for their frankly shabby parenting skills.
October 3rd, 2007 at 12:34 pm
Maura! ….are you still here? see 210
October 3rd, 2007 at 12:33 pm
Sorry slyfox I was busy trying to do the impossible - put manners on wee will there.
Your post: -Hi Maura, you seem to know a lot of info re McCann’s. Can you clarify why they would be ferrying rotting meat in the car, presumably rotting raw meat otherwise the McCann’s wouldn’t announce it as a likely explanation for the dogs scenting death. I’m assuming here that the dogs would not confuse rotting cooked meat for rotting flesh.
———————————————-
Firstly I dont know any more about the mcs than what the glory press gives us and in fairness not all if that is true either.
As for rotten meat/dead bodies.. This cant be considered evidence can it?Portugal is hot climate and people do shopping and not always take it out of the car, it can leak (as I have found out myself on one or two occasions) the car was not exclusively mcs, it was after all a rental. It was impossible to date the source of the scent I presume.
The DNA wasnt sufficient to sustain an arrest warrant and DNA should never be used to criminalise without other evidence. This case seems to be built on DNA and sniffer dogs all which can be explained.
To be honest I would secretly hope that I was wrong and that the MCs did kill their daughter. Then I wouldnt be faced with the horrific possibilities of what is most likely happening to this little angel. But I am sorry to say that it doesnt appear at all likely. I say flush out all the lowlife padeo rings and trafickers.

Perhaps you could enlighten us with your theories rather than your negativity?
Have you thought of coming down from your perch on that hill if it is making you so irritable.

236. MAURA. “…..We have very different views I am convinced the Mcanns are 100% innocent of harming Madeleine……”
It must be comforting to you to have a 100% conviction of ‘innocence’ in this case ……but we do have a few FACTS…
I, an outsider have noticed how fixed and aggressive you are in putting your case….can’t you open your mind wide enough to have just 1% doubt of ‘innocence’?

Shame the whole group cannot speak publicly due to legal restrictions. I would like to hear them all dicuss together who did what and when on that fatefull night, maybe then we might get some true idea of what time the child actualy went missing. It would also clear up ‘the was she wasn’t she seen’ being carried away by who ever. For me to be honest as much as I hate to say this not one of the actual people who where there have reportedly said anything to give me total believe in them.
