A policeman is not to judge, nor to beat, but to inquire. That one simply says people chop their children and feed the pigs with them and cannot explain why there are no bones in the pigsty. Isn’t that a drastic shortcut when so many children disappear in a region? Where they all eaten by pigs? And why did he have to wait 5 months before thinking of looking for Madeleine in the fridge?
Maybe Amaral says what a lot of people think, but his job does not allow him to say so in public.

For all the publicity the Mccanns have invited they have provided plenty of photographs of themselves.
But very few of Madeleine.
Certainly if my child was missing I would provided hundreds of pictures not just the twenty we keep seeing.
Also a well heeled couple like this must have a video camera to record first steps etc.
Where are these?
Surely if we are looking for this child, we should know how she speaks, how she walks, what mannerisms she has.

If Madeleine did have some form of autism, surely the public should be told as it would affect many things.
She was due to start school, do they not do any screenings or tests?

Now there’s a new theory - the McCanns were aware of this other lady being accused of killing her daughter so they went out and replicated the situation to finally put Amaral behind bars. Madeleine is safe and well and will appear after Amaral is charged or during his trial!

When a child is abdcuted it’s perfectly normal for the parents to release sound video of the child speaking. It is also perfectly normal for the parents to talk about the child and what he/she likes to do; favourite foods; songs they like to sing etc…..
Finally, it is very very normal for the parents of a missing child to look for the missing child.
It’s not normal they’ve not given us a living image of Madeleine but instead a static lifeless image which has become a brand.

In certain circumstances it may not be appropriate to use it - “mentally impaired” may be more appropriate. But the word retarded or the phrase “mentally retarded” is still accurate and scientific. For some reason, people have a problem with medical terms and try to change them into something else - if the word is seen as negative or if it impacts them or their family. If someone is mentally retarded, that’s what they are…it doesn’t mean they are a bad person. Which State are you in?

Nothing proven at the moment, just accusations, albeit serious ones I admit.
Leaving him on the Madeleine case would hand a major advantage to the McCann’s legal team. Removing him from the investigation is only prudent, for all sides in this argument.

It is most likely that the photographs were arranged for by HER lawyer, not the police.
Portuguese trials are decided on by three judges, not a jury.
