The thought that Madeleine might have died on the steps is a very new (and likely false) piece of rumor and speculation without any thing to back it up other than a newspaper article. Besides, there’s no scenario I can see which would cause the McCanns to cover up that type of accident, anyway. Under no scenario does the tumble down the steps make sense with the rest of the (foggy) picture.

But this is what the link on the search page reads:

There’s some odd psychological event happening on this blog - people are getting a kick out of slicing and dicing the McCanns with inane theories as if the truth could be unmasked in the comment section. Thanks for the pic of the steps. I can’t quite see whether the apartment above would have a view of them. Certainly, anyone passing on the steet could see quite easily through the gate. So, the British police actually found traces of M’s blood here and think that’s where she died?
