Kate’s huge wardrobe had me wondering what was going on from the beginning, but I pushed that thought aside as being plain bitchy.
I thought perhaps a fashion house offered to supply her with free clothes during such a stressful time. She is model slim and good-looking and would give plenty of free advertising, as she is constantly photographed. However, I have no idea which manufacturer the clothes come from.
Also wondered who did their laundry and could have got the scent of death on the clothes.

711. Jolie I agree 100%. I think everyone’s main concern is where is Madeleine? The issues about government and media manipulation is being watched by many who aren’t even from the UK because we feel so strongly that the people of the UK are having their rights tampered with and this case is decent proof that something is not right. I read recenly that the UK government is now doing almost exactly what the current US administration set into motion which is nationwide wiretapping on mobile phones as well as regular business/house phones! Incredible.

I’ve read that before. It does seem the media reporting and the activity on the forums does confirm that the story is being ‘guided’ along, nipped and tucked where necessary.
I also think it’s because of these propaganda tactics that many of the people stay on this forum and elsewhere to keep connected and talking and talking about the case, to confirm that all is not right in the media reportage of the event. We do not trust what is being reported and have concerns about why the public is being manipulated.

So you find that video to be true? I was wonderning if we missed anything from the beginning of the event which would explain Gerry’s seemingly foul mood as a joke? A lot of people here claimed Gerry was curing in that clip but I didn’t hear any foul language at all. The foul mood is definitely audible loud and clear.
I agree with you about the video where Kate shakes her head. I didn’t see why so many people had made a big deal about that one.

It would keep people occupied for hours. I casually mentioned the sheer number of outfits Kate had and some berated me in here the other day saying Kate looked terrible wearing the same set of clothes. People obviously see what they want to see rather than the truth.

Absolutely right. Well said.
Until we have evidence to the contrary, the McCanns should be left alone. It’s important to uphold that boring old principle of innocent until proved guilty. Anyone could find themselves in need of that principle one day.
IF, yes IF, the McCanns are innocent, try to imagine their feelings. How would you feel in their shoes now? I can’t bear to imagine what they are going through.
If evidence of guilt emerges, that will be a different matter, obviously. So far, none has, only rumour, inuendo and speculation, mostly through leaks and rubbishy newspaper reporting.

Yes I agree it’s all very casual yoga type wear. I’m not making any deductions from it other than saying wow…what a lot of different clothes to have with you from one or two suitcases. Also, it may be yoga wear but that’s what you’d expect to have in such a hot holiday environment. I do think it’s an indication of the fact that it was all very much business as usual for them and the disappearance did not curtail the way they went about their lives at all. If anything, having the glare of the cameras made them play up to it.
In fact, if it was me, I’d have told the media to p**s off and leave me alone to have more privacy. But then again I wouldn’t have cultivated the media in the first place in something that would be a very trying and personal thing to deal with.

694. Yes at first I was giving the media the benefit of the doubt and would patiently wait for a follow up article to explain the other reports’ disappearance! LOL! It’s like a shell game or information abduction. Maybe the disappearance of these news items has something to do with the comments the articles generated from the public?

Amaral,
I hope you get to read this.
From the beginning of this case you have been in the background.
Working long hours, your 4 year old daughter having to miss out on your
divine fatherly company.
Your wife missing out on her husband as you battle to find Madeleine.
And as the inconsistencies start mounting up, you have to face up to some hard facts.
Your commitment is not to the McCanns it is to the truth of the situation.
I, on the periphery gleam the news when able and read posts on forums, but for you, for five long months you have battled this case. Day and night calculating, ruminating, constantly absorbed by this whole circus.
You are insulted, despised and misrepresented by the British (not all of them).
Your removal from the case will serve a purpose. A higher one.
I wish you well and i thank you for being in the profession that serves us all.

Hey! Looking at this aerial photo of Ocean Club - cast your eyes along a line between the overlaid photos of Payne and Oldfield at the top and you see a round kiddy pool. That is the pool in the 1:29pm/2:29pm photo. Keep looking left and you see a grass area with some plastic climbing toys - the ones in the photo with the “mystery man” wearing sunglasses. It’s no mystery at all - the man was a guest at Ocean Club, duh!

I actually think Kate’s attire is pretty much very casual almost yoga-wear not really expensive stuff at all. Nothing spectacular or fancy by any strech of the imagination. I do think she has an awful lot of clothing items but again I think this could have been a suggestion by their PR for them to buy new clothes. Plus she and Gerry used to often match their outfits. Then after Clarence came on board I noticed she was matching her clothes with Clarence and not Gerry.
