I think signing in is your problem. You do not need to sign in or register to be able to post. Try clearing the cookies again, with your browser not on the anorak site. Quit the browser and restart it, go to the anorak site again but don’t log in. Then just see if you can change/enter the user details fields. They ought to be blank. If that doesn’t work perhaps mods and admin might have better suggestions.

Paulette, are you saying your browser does not give you the option to change your ID back to Paulette? If so you could try deleting all your cookies and clear the cache in your browsers preferences panel.
Have you tried just selecting the word anonymous in the name (required) field and typing Paulette?
You could try using another browser also. I suggest Firefox if you are not already using it.

Sky News Online just published a new piece in yet another unequivocal attempt to try and make Gerry and Kate resemble conventional human beings. After Kate’s attempt to demonstrate emotion by claiming she cries (remarkable…), Gerry is now said to be concerned with the “emotional well-being of Madeleine’s twin siblings”.
Another remarkable turn-around. When most normal parents would not abandon their children in a foreign holiday apartment precisely for concerns over their well-being, and when most parents that believe their daughter is alive would be primarily concerned with her well-being, Gerry surprises us all yet again.
I applaud the man.

Kate McCann is probably unaware of cuddlecat.com. Why should she give a toss even if she was? It was her daughters favourite toy, not a web site. What on earth makes you think the existence of a website could in any way sully or detract from the emotional significance of cuddlecat to Kate?
I am only aware of the suggestion that cuddlecat has been washed once - four days after it was examined by the PJ. If you can supply a link showing a report it was washed before the PJ examined it I am sure a lot of people would be grateful to you.
You must be kidding about about the leaks stopping 2-3 weeks ago. The day before Amaral was moved everyone was in a frenzy about the latest leak which was that it was UK police suspicions that focused PJ attention on the McCanns - remember the blood on the stairs? That was two days ago, not two weeks.

Morning all - Some breaking news today from the iberian peninsula:
> Brit police brought in some super-scanner to identify places where Madeleine’s body could have been buried. It was used notably in Murat’s house search (and also in other places around PDL) (source: Correio da Manha). Does that suggest that brit police also believe Madeleine died? We sent in officers, dogs and now scanns. We’ll soon be running the port-wine business as well.

And as I think the Portuguese police leaks stopped long before and under other circumstances than Amaral’s “sacking”, the consequences may include that - even if the Portuguese police receive new forensic results - WE THE PUBLIC ARE NOT NECESSARILY TO KNOW ABOUT THIS. I personally hope for an integral and thorough investigation without political lobbying and corruption. It has cost a lot and hopefully not in vain.

There was some discussion about the cuddle cat yesterday again. Where is the cat currently BTW? Was is not to be seized for investigation? (And given the existence of the site cuddle.cat.com why on earth would KM keep on clutching this toy in public?)
From reading many articles about the Madeleine case during the last 5 months I gather the cuddle cat was washed twice. The first time occured four days(!) after Madeleine’s disappearance (”because of the sun lotion on it?”) which many posters have found absolutely amazing and concerning. The cat was washed again later on, after being inspected and clutched by sweaty Portuguese police hands.
Another claim I saw yesterday and thought to be unsubstantiated was that Mr. Amaral be the one responsible for the Portuguese police leaks. I noticed the Portuguese police leaks stopped 2-3 weeks ago under different circumstances and had nothing to do with transferring Mr. Amaral. Relocating Mr. Amaral may be just another tactic of the Portuguese police, as some posters have explained.
