I read the book by Trevor Rees-Jones way back when it was first released. Very interesting! He did say then that he remembered nothing after leaving the Ritz.

And why didn’t they stay at the hotel that night? Daddy owns it for heavens sake! Why not just bed down in the best suite and get helicoptered out the next day? Al-Fayed madness.
