Ex-cop Danie Krugel has tracked the “forensic route” he believed her kidnapper took from her Madeleine’s Portuguese holiday apartment. It ends on the beach
Says Krugel: I spent four nights in July carrying out my searches. I’ve been able to trace where Madeleine was in the resort and have drawn a map which has been given to the police.
“I can’t reveal details as I don’t want to alert anyone who might try to disturb the scene. But I believe I’ve traced where she was taken that night and now it’s down to police to use their search experts to do the rest. The area to which my investigation led me is a difficult one to search”
Disturb the scene? The beach at a popular tourist destination made famous by the disappearance of a little girl? Yes, best not disturb that. And tell the wind and the tide to stop, too
A source “close” to the McCanns says: “The work of Mr Krugel should not be underestimated and gives great hope to Gerry and Kate. Many people have contacted the couple to try to help but while their hearts may be in the right place they just don’t have the expertise to be of assistance. But Mr Krugel has a proven record of finding people and his methods are extremely credible”

As a South African I watched a documentary called ‘Carte Blanche’ with Daniel Krugel using his equipment to trace 7 missing children who had disappeared for more than 20 years. He managed to point out the approximate vicinity where he thought five of the seven children could possibly be buried. They found bits of DNA and our forensics established that some of the DNA belonged to (I think) three of the missing girls, and the rest of the DNA belonged to a man and an unknown teen. So far nothing has come of it - and until we get the results we will be as sceptical as the rest of the world about Daniel Krugel’s forensic capabilities. Jammer Daniel, maar tot daar eintlik bewyse is dat jy die vermiste kinders opgespoor het gaan ons net so skepties wees soos die res van die wêreld! Voorspoed met die McCann’s saak wat totaal deurmekaar is met verouderde DNA.

So the new Portugese officer is looking into everything that could have happened on that night, police have written to all british citizens staying in the Mark Warner Complex the same week as the McCanns to produce DNA and fingerprints as the Portugese have some DNA and Fingerprints from the McCanns apartment that they cannot match (my first thinking was this is a holiday flat there must be hundreds of people’s prints on it) but then I thought maybe there is more to this ? I’m not a person who would normally believe in mediums etc but my friend pointed me in the direction of a few and I must say I found them very interesting (still not sure whether to belive in them though) but four of them all said a maid (maio) was involved, and three of them now have come up with dates for Madeleine to be returned one has said on the 18th October, and 2 have said before the end of British Summer Time (28th October), wouldn’t that be nice to believe, Mathhew James has always been saying that Madeleine was taken by people that know her and part of a bigger picture that we may never find out about, but he believes her release is near and that negotiations are already taken place, that the police maybe someone on sick leave has the key and is working behind the scenes, I keep my fingers crossed, all I do think is that this is one big mystery and we will probably all be in for a shock, if this has been a case of a abduction for whatever reason Madeleine is far too well known to do anything with, take her out etc, I think whoever has her thought that this media interest would have died down ages ago and here we are 5 months on and it is even more intense than ever and shows no sign of letting up
