Says Krugel: I spent four nights in July carrying out my searches. I’ve been able to trace where Madeleine was in the resort and have drawn a map which has been given to the police.
“I can’t reveal details as I don’t want to alert anyone who might try to disturb the scene. But I believe I’ve traced where she was taken that night and now it’s down to police to use their search experts to do the rest. The area to which my investigation led me is a difficult one to search”
Disturb the scene? The beach at a popular tourist destination made famous by the disappearance of a little girl? Yes, best not disturb that. And tell the wind and the tide to stop, too
A source “close” to the McCanns says: “The work of Mr Krugel should not be underestimated and gives great hope to Gerry and Kate. Many people have contacted the couple to try to help but while their hearts may be in the right place they just don’t have the expertise to be of assistance. But Mr Krugel has a proven record of finding people and his methods are extremely credible”

I believe that the time for spin is coming to an end, now that Gordy has decided that there will be no election there is no need for the government to protect the McC’s (why they did in the first place I don’t know).
So Chomical wots his name will take a holiday and then ‘gracefully’ back out to his old job (which he never left in the first place), and the McC’s will be left high and dry without a PR rep. (How WILL they COPE??).
This will coincide nicely withe the PJ’s new ‘cheif’ who will review the evidence and get the final results from Birmingham, (also hopfully find Maddie) and the Teflon two will be whisked off to Portugal charged with murder. (I used to think manslaughter - but this has gone on too long for me now…)

Krugel is most likely a fraud. Try googling his name or ‘krugel fraudster’.
He claims he has invented a device that given a sample of the missing persons hair, uses a laptop and GPS receiver and box of tricks to perform a magic that lets him follow a ‘DNA trail’ of the victim. No science I am aware of could explain such an ability - pure hogwash IMO.

Look I am not saying that Ex-SAS personnel are actually physically looking for Maddy. What I am saying is look beyond the spin. This is the key to everything in this whole case! If an investigations company is approached to provide advice/services to the McCann family and that investigations company is a division of (or has a sister company) that provides security services and that security firm employs ex-SAS personnel the following can be spinned by those employed PR experts:
‘Ex-SAS personnel in hunt for Maddy’
The purpose of this spin is to make it look like everything that can possibly be done is being done and adds a touch of gloss (’sexes it up) so most people do not liik behind the sensationalist headline.

The Sunday Mirror says Danie Krugel has an amazing 90% success rate. I’ve seen no evidence.
“The former South African detective has an amazing 90 per cent success rate in tracing missing people.
Speaking exclusively to the Sunday Mirror, he said last night: “I’m preparing to fly to Portugal again because the investigation seems to have come to a halt.
“I’m convinced Madeleine’s body is in Praia Da Luz.”
The McCanns turned to him in July to spend a week investigating Madeleine’s disappearance after being deluged with emails from members of the public recommending him as a “genius”.
He said: “Gerry sent me a strand of Madeleine’s hair for DNA purposes, which had been removed from her coat.”
Krugel became a household name in South Africa when he created a DNA tracking device which solved a 19-year mystery about the whereabouts of six schoolgirls snatched by a paedophile.
He told last night how he used the same method to track a potential burial spot for Madeleine on the beach in Praia da Luz.
The area was sealed off and Krugel suggested sniffer dogs be brought in to further pinpoint the spot where they needed to dig. Yet ironically, when the dogs arrived they were used by cops to turn the finger of suspicion on to Gerry and Kate.
Portuguese police were more excited about the dogs’ reaction when they searched the McCanns’ Ocean Club apartment and hire car.”

No one likes the new format. Check the previous McCann thread.
The abuse link title should be shortened to report abuse or some such as it visually very off-putting and actually hard on the eyes when reading so many posts. Isn’t it going to cost in terms of data/bandwidth costs as with a thread of over 1000 posts that message runs to over 1000 lines on a page - loaded everytime a person posts or refreshes.
Most people seem to be unable to see the post numbers at all. They seem to work with Opera and certainly with Firefox on Macs.

saw a direct quote from an official at the fss late last night/early morning,with his name colin sumat,cant find it yet but i will,he states directly that the dna tests and other tests in Madeleines case have not been completed and will take some time yet,no results of any kind have yet been issued to any authority involved,no results yet issued so no fake email to the PJ.

Another theory.
Brain gym I think it is called.
Madeleine is abducted.
The whole ensuing circus is just to make the abductor feel safe and possibly slip up.
The Amaral story, the leaks, Comical, Philomena, Eddie, Keela, DNA -all of it is a charade to lull someone into a false sense of security.
Meanwhile they are coming closer to her.
Except for one thing.
I cannot believe these people are missing a child.
It keeps coming back to those smiling faces, all of us would be imagining the worse and the only smile coming out would be on the brink of insanity.
The only way they could look so relaxed and Gerry could be so inane on his blog is that they know full well that their child is alive and well.
Sorry not even NPD could result in such visible lack of concern.
I am not talking well groomed or not, i am talking about complete absence
of stress on the face.

Gerry says Kate and him are going through the Portugese judicial process to clear their names , is Madeleines money being used to help them do this? Is any of Madeleines money being used for exactly that purpose, to Find Madeleine?

There is quite a bit of material available on Gerry McCann’s temperament. I sense a suppressed anger, some sense of deep frustration/ disappointment with his life or perhaps even more fundamentally with himself. And of course with the way the investigation is going.
It made me wonder whether, if one of the parents had lost their temper with Madeleine on 3rd May, it might have been Gerry himself.
Here is what we have on the public record so far:
1. Video of Gerry on bus with others - I think a bus to and from the plane, I am not sure. Gerry moodily sits on the bus on his own in the corner. Twins’ heads are being stroked affectionately by Kate. Children not looking at their father and father not looking at family. Sittting away fro meach other, Gerry as far away from Kate as possible. Cameraman says to Gerry something like: ‘Com’on Gerry, loosen up.You’re on holiday! It’s faint, but Gerry appears to say ‘F___ off’. Everyone else in the video clip appears to be enjoying their holiday
2. Alleged last photo of Madeleine. Gerry in sunglasses looking moodily at camera while Madeleine laughs at something off camera
3. Sol newspaer reports Gerry McCann as incandescent with rage when their reporter starts asking penetrating questions about the timelines of the evening and he says ‘Don’t you realise what you are doing - leave things to the PJ” (!) - see Sol newspaper report June 2007
4. Gerry so angry with Portuguese police that he threatens to sue them for not releasing a description the suspect (when PJ is forced to do so by pressure from Gordonm Brown, they less-than-half-heartedly issue Jane Tanner’s description)
5. Gerry angry with PJ for releasing the ‘wrong’ description of the suspect as being about 175cm (5′ 10″) tall. He says: “No, it was a shorter man, 5′ 7″ or 170cm”. Issues statement through sources: “It’s not good enough”
6. Gerry walks out of interview with Spanish journalist when asked a sensitive question abouth the investigation into Madeleine’s
‘disappearance’
7. Gerry clearly irritated with question with Spanish journalist about whether or not he has ever sedated any of his children…whilst at the same time exhibiting 6 common tell-tale signs of lying
8. Gerry’s anger with PJ when he comes under suspicion of covering up Madeleine’s death and being involved in her ‘disappearance’
9. ‘Hit the roof’ when he foud his hired hand, the PR lady, was claiming massive amounts of overtime.
I suspect there’s quite a lot more

£1 036 106.17 made payable to Kate McCann with a national lottery logo. I can’t see who the cheque is on behalf of because it’s not that good quality when i zoom in.

On a previous ramble, when trying to see different side of the story, I posited the theory that they were being set up.
Not by the PJ but by the whole British spin machine.
I think Clarence has done irreparable damage and has swung a good few pro’s to anti’s by his ludicrous antics.
I still think that it could possibly have been prearranged to get bills passed, maybe for micro chipping children and all that.
Perhaps Kate and Gerry were offered a substantial sum of money and yet were absolutely guaranteed that Madeleine would be safe.
And yet something went wrong and hence “they have taken her”.
Maybe it was not meant to have been there, maybe it should have happened later when they could not be accused of child neglect etc.
Maybe some sinister force that appeared benign to them at first became evil, and supposedly is helping them now but actually is swinging public opinion against them at a rapid rate.
I can see many flaws to this theory of mine, the main one being when I see the footage of them I do not see any suffering
Either for losing a child without foreknowledge
or losing a child (supposedly) and then being betrayed.
I don’t see any suffering fullstop.

Poor Madeleine..and Sean & Amelie).
I wondered how long it would be before ’squabbles’ concerning Money surfaced (ie; Justine’s fees)…how sordid. Also according to ’sources’ close to the family Kate didn’t want to all those publicity shots showing the perfect nuclear family …..it was Mr Mitchell and Gerry’s influence.f!!!
I wonder how many other people given the horrendous circumstances would be able to wheel out themselves and the twins all perfectly groomed for the many jolly family photo shoots!!
Regarding the twins surely it would have been better for them to have been left in the U.K. in the arms of what appears to be a large extended family where at least they could have been protected from the glare of the cameras and spotlight. As it was they spent most of their time in the creche with ’strangers’ , being looked after by friends etc.
What was the purpose in keeping them there ?.
If they had been mine I would have got them out of there pretty damn quick so they could at least have had a semblance of a ‘normal’ life and have been spared the trauma of the baying photographers etc.
One thing above anything else in this affair that has struck me has been the total lack of consideration given to the welfare of ALL the children.
(does anone know how I can get my numbers back?).
