Why is it then that I, a native born Englishman who happens to live in America, is usually interogated like some potential mass murderer when I arrive at Heathrow to visit my remaining relatives. Is becoming a US citizen a crime now? It makes life easier here, plus I get to vote.
“You were born in London?” the incredulous person of asian descent asks me. “Yes,” I reply, I never add “were you?” that would just annoy them.
Maybe next time I’ll fly to France and rent a caravan.
