Madeleine McCann: DNA Jigsaw, Torture And The Twilight Zone
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE DNA PUTS PARENTS IN FRAME. British experts insist their tests are valid”
Page 7: “DNA tests ‘fill in more pictures of jigsaw’” – A source close to the investigation provides the headline quote. But what has been found is unsaid, and how it involves Kate and Gerry McCann
“New police chief is accused of torture” – Chief inspector Tavares Almeida is to face charges of “beating up a robbery suspect in custody”. The Express says this is a “torture scandal”. The alleged victim – who was accused of being part of a gang that sexually abused children and coerced them into violent muggings - was acquitted
Mr Almeida was dubbed “Kate’s Tormenter”, possibly by the Express today
DAILY MAIL page 8: “New DNA tests ‘put the McCanns back under suspicion’”
The McCanns, both “doctors” are said to be “extremely distressed by the claims”
DAILY MIRROR page 7: “COPS GAVE UP SEARCH THREE MONTHS AGO”
“Investigation in tatters as second detective accused of violence”
THE SUN front page: “McCANNS’ AGONY – MADDIE: NEW DNA LINK TO KATE”
British forensic scientists “are said to believe tests on fresh clues support earlier findings that led to the McCanns being declared suspects”
Page 4: “McCANNS ‘LIVING IN A TWILIGHT WORLD’”
Clarence Michelle says: “We had reports that DNA had proved ‘inconclusive’ and even it had put the McCanns in the clear.”
Reports from whom is not reported
“Now there are reports that the DNA is making them look suspect. There are wholly innocent explanations for any material police may or may not have found. This just goes to show what a twilight zone we are operating in”
The Twilight Zone – wasn’t that the name of the TV show with the sting in the tail?
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE: NW DNA DAMNS PARENTS. Brit police find shock evidence”
But they have not been arrested. The McCanns are just suspects. How is this damning?
Pages 8 and 9: “MADDIE: SHOCK NEW DNA CLUE TO PARENTS – Boffins say cops on the right trail”
“Torture rap cop” – Tavares Almeida is 48
DAILY TELEGRAPH page 9: “Portuguese police ‘right to focus on McCanns’”
A British source says “Everything that has emerged indicates that the investigation is focusing where it should”
A British detective says the case is being “done back to front” – the parents should have been looked at first. The mantra is: “Clear the ground from under your feet”

She might have been abducted to Mars.
Try deciphrate me:
The natural effect of bacterial leaching on massive pyrite bodies has been generating acid for millions of years and thenatural impact is now mixed up with the drainage fromover 200 mines, abandoned over the last 5000 years. The Tinto River is an encyclopedic example of acid drainage. With pH below 2, the Phoenicians used to call it the `river of®re’ and the Arab name for it was `river of sulphuric acid’(Ariza, 1998). The region has recently been used by NASAto test the performance of robots in acidic environmentssimilar to those likely to be encountered on Mars.

Last week I proposed a theory that asked “what if one of the twins caused Madeleine’s death?” In other words - something like a cot-death type of incident.

I think you, me and m.e. are probably on the same wavelength. If as you say, an unloving parent engineers an accident then it’s not really an accident is it?
October 9th, 2007 at 6:01 pm
435 m.e.
I’ve not had time to read many posts today as I’ve been out. Yours sums the case up perfectly though.
I’ve always thought the biggest red flag is the lack of emotions by Gerry and especially Kate. In fact, I’ve been noticing just how many people do get emotional and shed tears as a comparison. Up till now I’ve been comparing their emotions to other parents of abducted or killed children.
What is surprising is just how many people are on telly being interviewed for numerous reasons and just how many of those can break into tears or have the typical quaky/quivery voice where someone is about to break down.
I believe that their lack of emotions are because they are 100% involved in the disappearance OR, they had nothing to do with it and are both heavily medicated.

m.e. (Sorry, I can’t quote your No. as I can’t read it).
“I said it ages ago and I’ll say it again.
‘Accident’ precludes evil and indicates an otherwise loving parent. It is therefore not logical (even for career concerns) to instigate a cover up that is contradictory in that they willingly desecrate the life, remains and memory of an otherwise loved child”
———————————————————————————————-
I am afraid I disagree. Accidental death can occur to a child who has a parent who is not ‘loving’. An unloving parent can, even subconsciously, engineer an event or series of events where the child is put at risk and eventually dies. The parent doesn’t have to ‘do the deed’ in one go, so to speak. An unloving parent can cause an accident to happen, or at least, not take steps to prevent an accident happening. So your conclusion, IMO, is based on a false premise.
There is also the possibility, in the McCanns’ case - now that new information has emerged that several other children were left alone in their apartment that night - that one of those children ‘accidentally’ killed Madeleine. In which case, all the parents involved would be desperate for a cover up, for obvious reasons.

Is jane a Vagitarian?
October 9th, 2007 at 5:59 pm
It is seems a far more credible scenario to me that Madeleine was somehow accidentally killed by one of the other kids, inspiring a collective cover up from the entire party of parents. They all know that they’re innocent and that public exposure would serve no useful purpose. So they decide to claim an abduction on the grounds that it is a “white lie” rather than an outright evil one. Of course, the whole PR thing has got wildly out of hand but it would explain an awful lot.
I’ve always found it very hard to believe that the McCann’s could persuade a party of friends to cover up either a murder or the accidental death of a child, given how little time there was to persuade the other adults that it was an accident and that this conspiracy of silence served a greater good.
I don’t necessarily believe this is what happened. But at last, someone has come up with a credible scenario. I feel a sense of relief that there is perhaps an explanation that makes sense other than abduction (which we’ve discovered doesn’t add up either.)

The german though a little crude, is stouter and longer than its Italian counterpart. For flavour the Italian is choice, but if youre just looking for something to fill you up………The bearded clam should be approached carefully, Opening gently before relishing the innards with the tongue.

much more creative and fun than anything on tv or at the cinema. that may not be saying much. i will only confess to having been inspired by more than a few ingenuous ideas on anorak. that and the mccanns are completely and wholly innocent of any charges which clarence thinks they will be charged with. he simply needs to peruse anorak tonight to find out.
October 9th, 2007 at 5:48 pm
Gotta run………back later. Tried to research the source of the cell phone “leak” but no luck yet. Probably the PJ when they were accused of wrongly fingering the McCanns…….

New readers start here:
1 the Wikipedia page - a very useful and sober summary
2 the Woman’s Hour interview (go to 4′ 20″) with KM
3 the Sandra Feligueras interview with GM (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMUdynuECbE)
Oh yes, Tanner used to sing with Black Sabbath.

i think hondemburst (what a great name!!!) went to the market for some yogurt and salami. oh and shellfish and relish too.
October 9th, 2007 at 5:48 pm
I said it ages ago and I’ll say it again.
‘Accident’ precludes evil and indicates an otherwise loving parent. It is therefore not logical (even for career concerns) to instigate a cover up that is contradictory in that they willingly desecrate the life, remains and memory of an otherwise loved child. Therefore cover up and accident do not logically fit together as plausible.
‘Murder’ indicates evil and an unloving parent. Cover up therefore only fits logically with murder.
The most worrying thing about this is that there are ways other than murder to get rid of an unwanted child. Therefore the only logical conclusion is that this child was victim to other activity where death and a need to dispose of the body was required.
If the parents and/or friends are involved here then the likely logical answers to this case are potentially very disturbing.
An accident cant be discounted but I would be very surprised.
And an abduction becomes more laughable by the day……

love it. ‘lack of decorum’ on a news satire blog.
October 9th, 2007 at 5:45 pm
Mike Hondemburst: Stop being so terribly serious! I wanna get back to following this blog-farce.
October 9th, 2007 at 5:45 pm
come come now. plenty of brits and other nations’ representatives discussed the jailhouse lesbo-whino-cocaine-menage a trois- angle too.

“But murder here is not in discussion…it is the “accident” that might motivate parents (and friends) to “cover-up”.”
———————–
But it’s not just a murder or an “accident” is it? If found to be guilty, the McCanns (and their friends) have perpetrated a massive scam by fraudulently collecting money and they will have also perverted the course of justice and attempted to pin the blame on A.N.Other, in the first nstance, Robert Murat. But let’s all forgive them their gross selfishness and negligence in leaving the children alone at night in the first place, their money scam, their waste of hundreds of thousands if not millions of pounds of police time in several countries and diversion of funds and resources from other real deserving causes…..it was an accident!
October 9th, 2007 at 5:42 pm
greek yogurt is far supereior to bulgarian. better texture and smooths gracefully across the skin. only my theory. but rachel’s is really good too.
i thought it was italian salami. if german, it was most definitely bavarian black forest variety: https://www.bavariasausage.com/shop/products.php?storecategory_id=29&storesubcategory_id=5&product_id=771
german, very hard, from a black forest, made of a magical blend of pork, pine needles and juniper berries. need i say more?
October 9th, 2007 at 5:42 pm
well well you all have been busy, can’t say i’m to impressed by the lack of decorum by certain parties, but there again the yanks don’t have much history to draw class from.still flying kites the good old british fourth estate,it is in total meltdown having been regally shafted by team mc,no more than they deserve and they have more to come, the show for that is what it has turned into is coming to an end, maybe a lot sooner than people think.as a final contribution i will say God bless you Madeleine and keep you safe.when some of you are having your little asides spare a thought for her,for i am sure Madeleine will find no comfort in your misplaced humour.
October 9th, 2007 at 5:40 pm
Sorry didn’t read you don’t have time to look up the link. I’ll try to find it. I remember the same thing - about the accident.
October 9th, 2007 at 5:39 pm
Please explain more about making Madeleine sick - trying to induce vomiting?
I heard about the conversation some time ago, but can’t remember where? Do you have a “story” link to refresh my memory.
I thought it was something overhead on a cell phone?
October 9th, 2007 at 5:38 pm
Do you think it was a German salami? Goes well with bearded clams. Fish sauce or gentlemans relish would go well too, Or some of that salty yoghurt.

Yes, that also is an option to consider. The perverted heart, the disturbed mind, the beast within treading into the dark of evil……
Could be.
October 9th, 2007 at 5:32 pm
But murder here is not in discussion…it is the “accident” that might motivate parents (and friends) to “cover-up”.
October 9th, 2007 at 5:32 pm
jerrilyn,
although your theory is perfectly acceptable i find fault with it because i believe the public, although shocked by such story, would be understanding and forgiving. i think something (an ingrediant) or someone doing something sinister or something which could easily be misconstrued as untoward had to have happened if they are all covering for one another.
October 9th, 2007 at 5:31 pm
Yes, sorry but that is true. A murderer does have their own self-interest at heart unless they have a tender conscience and the act was in the heat of the moment and then greatly regretted afterwards………
October 9th, 2007 at 5:30 pm
JerriLyn
“Once a person is dead, what else can be done? No sense making it worse by going to prison……”
Open season for murderers then, now and for ever more.
October 9th, 2007 at 5:30 pm
I don’t know about the “All” over the place - could have been planted? To support a kidnapping.
I think it was drops of blood……rumors really! The death scent was all over the place…..
October 9th, 2007 at 5:28 pm
if there was drowning or choking involved, where has the blood come from that they’ve found all over the place?
October 9th, 2007 at 5:27 pm
Yes, why ruin one’s entire life for an innocent mishap - could have been ingested medicine - too……
