The McCanns are being represented for free by a lawyer in Lisbon, Carlos Pinto de Abreu, and will not dip into the Madeleine Fund to pay for the case.
Mr Pinto de Abreu has filed a seven-page claim against Tal & Qual’s director, Emidio Fernando, and reporter Catarina Vaz Guerreiro.

On 31 August 2007, the parents of Madeleine McCann announced that they were suing the newspaper for libel after the newspaper reported that the “police believe” Kate and Gerry McCann killed Madeleine, suggesting she may have died in an accident or from a drugs overdose. The police stressed that the McCanns were not suspects (at the time: they later became so), but Tal & Qual stood by the story.[2] The journalist who wrote the article, Catarina Vaz Guerreiro, said “I can’t reveal my source, but I have complete trust in them. I strongly believe that the person that gave us this information is telling the truth.”[3]

they may have my children’s clothing if that will help bring back madeleine. i will however be here as my kids’ deserve to be loved and watched. especially when a well heeled stranger saunteres in saying “it’s okay i’m a doctor” claiming the kiddies must remove their clothes. i imagine that’s how a lot of the world’s evils have begun or endings have begin to begun beginning.

Let me correct you. I described a viable scene where Madeleine could have died as a result of climbing on a cot. I didn’t say I think that’s what happened.
My theory is that she died earlier in the day and always has been.

Gerry writes several times in his blog about the time the twins go to bed/sleep.
Look at this on day 17:
18.30-19.30 Bath and story time with the twins.
20.00 We put the kids to bed.
On another day he comments how surprised he is that the godparents put the twins to sleep as early as 7:30pm.
Here’s the oddity…on May 3, he said they were asleep by 7:00pm.

stevo and others who are going with accidental killing by one of the other children. why the need for a coverup? if this did in fact happen then they must be afraid something unflatterinig about them will become known? if another child accidentally killed another child. or if madeleine accidentally tripped and was knocked unconscious while gettinga a drink of water - even though the parents were not there and had not had the intelligence to hire a sitter - i don’t believe any of these possible scenarios is enough to warrant this massive cover-up which includes big time fraud.
