roger, from reports i have read they are all close friends. i don’t believe the recent story that the children were all in the mccann villa. cocaine makes people hyper and accident prone. it makes them take chances they wouldn’t normally take by lowering inhibitions and causing a feeling of euphoria and nothing-can-go-wrong kinda’ megalomania i-am-god mindset. it increases the heart rate and over time weakens the heart vessels. makes you thirsty as hell. makes you able to drink a lot more alcohol than you would normally be able to. suppresses the need for food or solid nourishment. and some people claim it enhances love making.

I truly hope they didn’t do it….Because at this point there is no way either one of them would confess..And in the end, if it is discovered that they comitted the crime, It would be so difficult, they have made many people believe and support them. I honestly don’t know what to think anymore. They are almost convincing me they are innocent, but i still have some doubt in the back of my head. I think at this point, it would be difficult to find her body, and I have a feeling that G & K know that her body will never be found, Therefore, there may never be an answer. Hopefully, this new investigator working on the case, will have some answers to this tragic puzzle. He is supposedly top criminal investigator..We’ll see. Is there anyone here who still truly believes they are guilty?

Possibly related point Stevo – or anyone else who might know…
That last ever picture of Madeleine, taken by the swimming pool. If I recollect correctly (and my memory may well be incorrect), it wasn’t released until some time after May 3rd? I also recollect that the picture was released along with some notes pertaining to the time being incorrect on the camera. I remember thinking at the time that commenting about the time was most odd. Around this time I hadn’t any thoughts that the parents may have been in some way complicit in Madeleine’s disappearance. Hence why it struck me as odd that they should make a ‘fuss’ about the camera time.
Is there something significant about that particular picture and the alleged time it was taken?

I think that if all the children had been together in the apartment we would have heard this rumour before.
Perhaps just O’B’s child was as from what people wrote earlier she was the same age as Madeleine.

i have to agree with paulo on justine’s bill. it is more than fair. when people want a grass-roots pr volunteer they can easily have a fclose friend, minister, lawyer, doctor lol etc….take the post. gerry wanted a “professional” and he got one. we don’t even know if the story is true that he “hit the roof” when he received her bill. if he did he’s even a bigger jerk than i already believe him to be. gerry, kate and the rest of the doctors all expext to be paid for their knowledge and time - he should extend that same courtesy to others.

Stevo, Justine McGuiness was charging the going rate for the service she provides. Her daily fee assumes an 8 hour day, if she had to work evenings, that counts as overtime. If you don’t want to pay these rates, you don’t employ a PR agent. She’s cheaper than most lawyers (as Gerry may soon find out.)

I do not know if the rest of the party would know, they may suspect.
I think they were all due to come home on the Saturday anyway and I think this happened on the Thursday night.
I only think they may have taken her home because of the problem with what else to do.

The way it was reported and quoted in the paper made it very clear he was referring to Murat even if he didn’t mention the name explicitly Are you trying to split hairs or something?
