Maybe, just maybe the French realise that Madeleine McCann is just one little girl and thus realise that it would be grossly unfair to feature just this one child when so many others have gone missing. Especially as (a) she has had more coverage than another child on the planet, except for Harry Potter, and (b) she is missing because her parents were (allegedly) negligent.
At last someone not buying into the Madeleine McCann is the only missing child worth finding. The documentary on the 70,000 Chinese kids who are genuinely abducted each year puts things firmly in perspective.

thanks Judith C you are right. the media are quite content to have us believe that in the McCann case nice couple kate and gerry are exempt from the usual rules in that sniffer dogs are wrong - dna is wrong etc
i hate to say this but if they were muslim or black or chavs the media would have nothing positive to say they would be locked up
interesting that today the met asked again for ‘terror’ suspects to be detained for more than 30 days without charges and this couple are free but oh they are nice - white and have a lot of money

If I recall correctly, the photo was trotted out at some point to give a boost to the media campaign. it was something new for the media to report and keep Madeleine in the news. I do not recall the McCanns making a fuss about the time, only it’s significance to them.
Other people have placed the emphasis on the time to try and support various cock and bull theories.
The McCanns used the trick of feeding bits to the media at intervals to keep press attention focused on the case. It was very successful.
For those who think they were unwise to do so, I have read a personal account by someone who had a relative go missing and they tell how the police told them the best thing they could do was to get as much media coverage as possible.

No news now makes any sense. Maybe the confusion is a clever plan to befuddle the truth, until nothing seems real, twilight zone time, there will never be a non-partial jury anywhere on the face of this earth unless they go to a mental ward with doped up patients who don’t read or watch the telly.

Others will doubtless be more knowledgeable than I, as to the exact details of how this works. However, when ever you delete a file on just about any computer storage device all you really delete is a pointer to the files location, the file itself is still there. The space that the now deleted file took up is released back to the computer/camera/MP3 player/etc for re-use. Depending upon lots of factors to do with which operating systems is in use, the amount of free unused space on a storage device, the amount of space required for any new file to be written, etc, etc the original space taken by a previously deleted file might remain unused for some time. This is one of the reasons why in all high security/commercially sensitive computer installations it is not unusual that all maintenance contracts will specify that any storage media removed from the site must either physically destroyed or electronically fully erased.
More importantly in this instance is whether you can falsify the date and times associated with an image, which if I put my mind to it I think I could. You take a happy family snap on May 2nd (or indeed any day prior to the 3rd you like) at about the right time of day. On May 3rd you take a picture of, well just about anything at the right time of day.. Open the second picture in a graphics package and delete/white fill the picture area. Open the first picture and copy and paste the image to the now blank second picture. Save the second picture. You might need to manipulate the file modified dates for completeness, but there is stuff readily available to do that. Anyway, the picture you have just created will have all the picture attributes associated with the picture you took on the 3rd, however the actual picture will be one you took sometime earlier.
Not saying this is what happened, I simply don’t know. If true it might point to some kind of premeditation, which I’m uncomfortable with. Equally, had Madeleine died earlier on the 3rd, or indeed they already knew she was likely to die because of some accident/other wrong doing, then maybe they might have wanted to fabricate some time line that proved she was still alive and well early PM on the 3rd. Frankly, it all seems a little surreal!
The only reason I raise this as a possibility is because they made such a fuss about the exact time this picture was taken on the day they released it to the public. I don’t understand why, if your innocent and we’re looking for an abducted child, why you want to emphasise the time. As I’ve said elsewhere though, once you start disbelieving what people say, you do tend to look for the lies in everything they say even though in this instance they probably were being truthful.

Judith I only heard about it on here and good for the French! Even if Maddy has been abducted by Paeds - there are many more missing children and she has had plenty of exposure.

Sfinx - I can ‘t see the post nos, but I thought about this. If the death smell sticks too Kate then Maddie’s stuff why not to Gerry’s? Frankly this cardiologist who surely all his patients are pretty ill, never lost one , and the locum GP says she lost six. Know who I would prefer to look after me

Why is Rev. Hubbard’s insight from 21st of July - nobody was looking at the mcCann’s at that time - so “insightful” in so many ways, containing detailed descriptions, elements not even whispered at that time. Suggesting an articulated possible scenario? I find it intruiging and puzzling.

But, more seriously, didn’t anyone think it important that the Express today reported that Carrefour (the French supermarket chain) had knocked the new £8o,000 “Find Maddie” waste of time on the head by refusing to allow her picture on their shopping trollies???? I thought that was quite a stunning bit of info and no-one else (either in newspapers or here) seems to have taken it up.

Sequence of events: McCanns state lease expiring, returning to UK to provide more stable environment for twins. Days later PJ call them in for questioning. Questioned them at length then then made them Arguidos but agreed to let them return to the Uk.

Another strange thing about evening of 3rd May.
It was quiz night.
Presumably people were in teams.
How could that have been in any way enjoyable for any of them with so many people getting up and down to check on the kids all the time?
Can’t put my finger on it - but seems even more strange not to get a babysitter or leave them in the creche at least until the quiz was over.
Also, if in the middle of a quiz - why did G (allegedly) spend 10-15 minutes talking to that Wilkins guy?
Surely his rapier like wits would have been needed back at the quiz.
Something not right about this whole thing - like they needed to be their as an alibi.
