A friend of the McCanns says: “This shows the scale of the problem in Portugal and appears to show that the Portuguese police seem to be looking in the right direction. It may provide vital leads”
But the raids were not directly connected with the Madeleine case. Operation Predator was six months in the planning

I repeat, there is no need to use anything stronger on a child if you want to sedate them. The whole sedative overdose scenario is facetious.

batman,starting point is this is a crime and not an accident,accidents are not allowed to be a financial drain on police manpower or resources,and certainly not for this length of time,they are of low priority,because they are exactly that.no this a crime and a of the most serious kind.there is no mystery as to what is required,the portuguese prosecutor has told the PJ find the body and we go to trial,i believe the PJ know what happend and how it happend,but if the prosecutor for whatever reason political or other wise has decided they need the body,he must have good reason,that is unless the dna and bodily fluid tests are cast iron,which gives him another avenue to bring charges.this is what i believe will happen.

The women I knew of who had post-natal psychosis did not harm their children. They recovered completely in time, but needed a lot of help with the babies for the first few months. One (a primary school teacher),was in hospital for four months. Both already had children and the earlier pregnancies were completely normal.

For all the truth slayers here, let it be known that as Chief Inspector Paulo Clouseau, I do not whitewash the truth. The abduction line is about the only theory for which there are no leaked ‘facts’. Unless of course we take the view that the PJ are a bunch of incompetent buffoons and/or they are trying to stitch up the McCann’s. Neither of which I think likely. Just my opinion of course.. I can’t prove it.

It’s funny you say that. I made a quip a few days ago about gerrykins having a “nasty temper”, which you piced up on with a list of examples. I have a hunch that all is not well in the McConn household and that bad tempers are commonplace amongst the fragrant holy pair. Suggest you google post-natal psychosis and look for cases where mothers have killed their children.
For some unfortunate women the hormonal upheaval caused by giving birth, sometimes associated with other reasons, has a devastating effect on them (sometimes, but rarely resulting in them killing their children as well as themselves). Recovery can take a long time. It is not like PMT.
