The theory that they sedated all of their children is a “wild theory”. It appears in Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas, a source for “some of the more outlandish reporting”. The Express reproduces the outlandish reporting for its readers to digest and marvel at
“Grim hunt for images as child-porn ring is smashed” – Operation Predator is a clamp down on child porn in Portugal. A friend of the McCanns says: “This shows the scale of the problem in Portugal and appears to show that the Portuguese police seem to be looking in the right direction. It may provide vital leads”
But the raids were not directly connected with the Madeleine case. Operation Predator was six months in the planning

I agree with you. Even abused children (and I mean in this context - temper/verbally abused) will appear happy when they’re out and about. Abused kids don’t go round with a big sign on their heads.
A woman here in West Virginia was abused by 6 hillbillies. She was forced to eat faeces, drink blood, drink urine and perform sexual acts while they tortured her. This is a current case. It amazes me when you see the victim that she doesn’t “look” like a torture victim. I don’t believe any abused person has a giveaway look to them.

I don’t know of any ‘facts’ that have been leaked either way. The trouble is with the abduction theory is they don’t have any info to leak. And lets face it - if she was taken from the apartment, put in a car and driven off into the darkness - the liklihood of any evidence is quite small. For me its a lot more plausible than all these daft conspiracy theories.

I think the PJ have to work on theory to proceed with the case. That’s why we do it. Collecting data is driven by theory it’s not just empirical. So theory links paedophiles to the case, PND and certain behavioural disorders link the family to the case. We have as much access to the theory as the PJ, so we can try and link what they are doing and the facts or semi facts we know about to likely possible outcomes. we ourselves can rule out possibilities. For example theory (like prisoner’s dilemma, would suggest the tapas 9 are not involved in the cover up of a major crime). And so on.
Is this an odd way of looking at it?

I am bringing the T9 back to Portugal. Each will be given a shovel and must begin digging at the edge of the resort outwards - 20 minute rest periods will be given every 4 hours and two meals a day consisting of milk and bread sweetened with a little honey, then at night we will allow 5 hours of sleep. They must dig until they find Madeleine or confess. This is not coercion, this is a proven method of unearthing the truth and finding Madeleine’s buried bones in the process.
So I suggest all confess now or buy some sturdy leather gloves!

Problem is I think the PJ will never find the body. It could be buried anywhere. Don’t know if they ever dug up around the Church - but I think it may be further afield. Also how to transport a body without a car and without involving someone with a car. Why has no other accomplice been questioned like this? And why Murat still an ‘arguido’? So many questions. And real fear that poor little Madeleine may never receive justice.

Scarlett probably is a wind up but I think I can fill in the gaps in your research. Scotsman website 13 May 2007, Father Paul Seddon has joined the McCanns and has taken part in the communion service at PDL church. “Father Seddon was told that he could celebrate mass for the McCanns at the church any time they wanted to.”
Fr Seddon’s name rarely comes up on this site - maybe that’s because we take him at face value - I’ve seen him a couple of times on Sky and he seems like a decent guy just going about his lawful and spiritual business. However, that doesn’t explain why some posters bring Fr Pacheco in at every verse end. The McCanns were tourists, they didn’t speak the same languge and there is no reason why a priest of all people should stick his neck out for a couple he’s only just met. Anyway, even if the posters are right and Fr Pacheco has been summoned to the Vatican, you’d think it would have come up in the conversation that “oh yes, there was another priest in PDL, an English guy from the same city as Kate’s family, maybe they said something to him, Your Holiness.”
I’m not saying that Fr Seddon has done anything illegal or immoral, only that the McCanns may have opened up to him about some of the things that have been said in the media since 3 May.
Still leaves me wondering why some of you guys like to implicate Fr Pacheco while at the same time leaving Fr Seddon completely alone.

I repeat, there is no need to use anything stronger on a child if you want to sedate them. The whole sedative overdose scenario is facetious.
