But the raids were not directly connected with the Madeleine case. Operation Predator was six months in the planning

Thank you. Yes, I’ve just seen that! They must be worried, for once! OR they knew it was a lie but decided to smear anyway, followed by an apology-in-case-we’re-wrong-so-you-can’t-sue-us-for-libel.
I think people have got the message that, ultimately, the McCanns will pursue stuff. They won’t just take all this. They’ve shown that in determination to pursue the search for Madeleine.

I think not! They shouldn’t have published this disgaceful lie without absolute certainty. And I believe they knew it wa a lie. Absolutely no authority would have given them this particular information. A newspaper???!!! What it does prove is that those papers are still bribing the police/civil servants for leaks, true or false.
As I say, we’re only scratching the surface of the horrors to come.

‘Carers’ in a creche are usually 16-18 yr old children with no experience, low paid and very little motivation. All sorts of accidents happen in chidcare situations, as well as childhood accidents in the home

Babysitting
I wasn’t saying the Mark Warner operates this typt of listening service. I have no idea. I do know (read it on their site, I think) that you could leave your kids with people in the creche up to 11.00pm. Many parents would prefer their kids to go to sleep earlier. I certainly wouldn’t have two or three year-olds up until that time.
My personal choice would be for one of us to stay in the apartment, taking it in turns perhaps to join the group in the restaurant. After all, it was very near (80 paces according to the Sky programme, walking round the pool) so very easy to swap over a couple of times.
I was only saying that the listening service, operated in many places, is exactly what the McCanns did. It’s not as though they were any distance away. And they went inside to check, not simply listened for crying.
