And, I have compassion not only for the Dead, but also for the Living, who may or may not be Guilty, and if they are NOT guilty, are in a horrible hell you and I can only imagine. So until it is proven they are guilty, I think we must reserve some compassion for them. Which is not to say the police should not ABSOLUTELY pursue this line of inquiry if they have real evidence it’s more than a wild goose chase.

Since I don’t really think Calpol woudl constitute “drugging,” I’m really not sure. But I guess in that video (i’ve seen it, but don’t want to go look again now) Gerry does specifically deny Calpol, too?
I guess I would just once again say, I think you’re reading too much into it. In that situation, I suppose , asked the question, “Did you give your ch ildren sedatives? Calpol?” I might feel attacked and deny all of it. Then again, I might say yes I’ve given them Calpol but that isn’t a sedative! Because it’s NOT.
I just think you are reading too much into it. I think that rather frequently about people trying to find guilt in the McCanns. I find an astonishing lack of compassion in them at times.

Spudgun really was an asshole today and he is DEFINITELY anti-American , but don’t validate his asshole-ness by being anti-Brit. Most people on this forum are Brits and they’re OK. Trust-Me-I’m-a-Dr…. I guess I disagree with you on the premise that it’s not appropriate for a doctor to give Calpol to help a kid sleep. Although I do not personally give out these medicines JUST to get a kid to sleep– because, afterall, they aren’t sedatives! — I do not have any real objection to someone giving these medicines to a kid to help them sleep (if they believe it will help). Calpol (both acetaminophen and ibuprofen) are really very innocuous drugs and if a friend of mine was using them for no reason other than because her kid needed to go to sleep already, I wouldn’t necessarily object. I might not approve, but I wouldn’t consider it dangerous or anything, as long as it wasn’t a nightly occurrence all the time.

Ireland is a peaceful nation - with beautiful land, countryside and people.
In fact, my first husband was Turkish and his Father was the Ambassador to Ireland so we got to experience a very beautiful lifestyle there one year when we went to visit them for a few months in Dublin. That summer was the best summer of my life because as I said before, we also stayed with a wonderful Irish family in Galway for part of the time, and like I said you could smell the mist from the Ocean. What does it smell like laughed Will?? If you don’t know what the Ocean smells like, I can’t describe it to you. But you must be a very cloistered person to have to laugh at or ask such a thing……mist from the ocean - or ocean spray as some call it - smells as fresh as life can be…..misty rains mixed with the ocean spray is a feeling that leaves your skin and hair so soft and so fresh feeling - it’s hard to even describe it other than to say “go experience it for yourself”…..and then see what there is to laugh at me about.
When I told Anna how much I love her country and the Irish people - Spudgun then threw in the “I knew you’d say that because your country funds the IRA’s bombing efforts”…..
So he took a wonderful discussion I had with Anna and turned it into a negative blow job. And then I leave for a few hours and see that Ugly Will - whom I think I despise more than anyone else on this forum - Along W/ Ade and Spudgun - same folks as you do for the most part -has come back and spread the Venom even further with the UTMOST lies on here = accusing me of saying shit I never said. And I certainly backed it up.
I don’t give a flying fuck about the IRA. I only care to comment on Ireland and the beauty of it’s people and land…….and Horses!!! Wow - are their horses fabulous over there - I had the best time there. My reminscing was interrupted by Spudgun’s negative comments on Anti- Americanism and Anti-Ireland. Will, I’m quite sure Americans as a whole are worse on issues of Geography than Brits. My stepson came to live with us when he was entering 5th grade , due to his mother’s alcohol issues, etc.. The kid was , what, 10 years old, and he didn’t know what state or country he lived in. He’s still terrible, has these HUGE blank zones , but I’ve forced him to learn all the States at least, INCLUDING their capitals, ID them on a map. And we’re working on continents and the types of people found there (Asians, Europeans, Africans), but I was just flabbergasted a kid entering fifth grade with mostly A grades had not the slightest clue where he was on a globe. I assure you, as a whole, Americans are pretty bad. However, not all of us are.

You do not have to be a psychologist to conclude that he is most likely lying. Then his father in law suggests that his daughter may have used “Calpol” to get her children to sleep. If this is true - and I am not saying that it is - it is not acceptable from a doctor; so Mr Healy is unwittingly implying that his own daughter may not be fit to practice medicine…
However, the real point is that the McCann version of events OUGHT - if it is the truth - to be plain and simple. It is not. It is riddled with contradictions and own-goals from family and friends.
