A friend of the McCanns says: “This shows the scale of the problem in Portugal and appears to show that the Portuguese police seem to be looking in the right direction. It may provide vital leads”
But the raids were not directly connected with the Madeleine case. Operation Predator was six months in the planning

If donor sperm was used, then technically, GM IS the father! So he is not lying when he states repeatedly that he is Madeleine’s father.

Gerry McCann The father of Madeleine McCann today issued a statement saying that the missing four-year-old is his biological daughter.
Consultant cardiologist Gerry McCann was responding to speculation in the Portuguese media today that he is not the Leicestershire youngster’s real father.
Clarence Mitchell, spokesman for Mr McCann and his wife Kate, said: “Due to further unwarranted, unsubstantiated and totally inaccurate speculation in the Portuguese press today Gerry and Kate McCann and their lawyers have authorised me to issue the following statement.
“For the record, Gerry is the biological father of his daughter Madeleine. A newspaper report in the 24 Horas newspaper suggesting otherwise is nothing short of lies.
“It is indeed an absolute fabrication. Gerry and Kate’s lawyers in both Britain and Portugal would remind editors in both countries that they are monitoring coverage very closely and will not hesitate from taking action at the appropriate stage in either country when and wherever it’s felt necessary.”

It is possible that she died the night before in some suspicious circumstances and a pact was made.
Yesterday I put forward a theory that she had in fact NOT been in the apartment on May 3rd having lost her life at some earlier time and it does seem reasonable.
However, WHY the publicity machine? What glue binds this bunch of misfits, sorry I mean doctors together?
The Vatican took Madeleine off their website the week before the parents were made arguidos.

Maybe none of the friends were the “real” parents of any of the kids, and they all had adopted or similar. The “real” parents to all the children lived in Portugal, and every year the families would go there on “holiday” allowing the “real” parents to see their kids.
They left them all in one room and left the door unlocked, and gave them the evening together. Unfortunately, the real parent or parents decided to take one of their kids back. Hence, “they’ve taken her”.
D’you like how I have created a ridiculous story from unsubstantiated rumours? I could still make a tabloid journalist.

I doubt they would of been granted a blessing with the pope on world TV if they had confessed all to the priest-there is no way he would of let his boss get involved .They probably have a way of comunicating these things in the church without revealing the actual contents of the confesssion.

274 MikeSA, of course if they premeditated a disappearance then they could have changed the camera’s actual time before taking the photo, thereby negating the need to doctor the subsequent photo. I assume this would not be picked up with decryption, and would rely on sunlight calculations etc. I don’t think this is plausible in the slightest, though.

I’m not a fan of the premeditated disappearance thing, for no good reason I might add.. However, if this was what was planned, you just take the photo at about the right time of day, a day or two before BUT change the date/time on the camera to the one you want it to appear to be. i.e. 2Nd May, change date on camera to 3rd May, take picture, put date on camera back to 2nd May.
I think it was Krissie who yesterday posted that someone had done a fairly forensic examination of that photo and proved that it wasn’t doctored. I’d be curious to understand whether they were talking about the “image” or the technical details of the file. i.e. In the method I suggested above the image wouldn’t be doctored and the date change would be undetectable. Other pictures before and after this one picture might provide evidence of date tampering on the camera.
I’m not certain how easy it is copy and paste an image taken sometime earlier on top of an image taken on the 3rd of May whilst maintaining all of the date and time integrity associated with the donor picture of the 3rd May. In fact, if this is technically feasible, you could take a picture any time after the 3rd May, remembering first to change the date and time to the time window you require, and then using the copy and past method. There may be other clues in the 3rd May donor picture – like exposure information, whether the flash was used etc that would be inappropriate to a picture allegedly taken outdoors on a bright sunny day. As I say though, all conjecture and I don’t know if this sort of tampering would be readily apparent during a simple forensic analysis.

Pilimary commented earlier that some Portuguese papers have reported they used a sperm donor and the real biological father snatched Madeleine.
I don’t think these reports are true. Gutter press exist in every country.

I have jsut come back form getting Radio Times and Independent and while waiting in queue saw a those long long rows of penny horrible gossip mags.one called First….which on cover blazons out ” Nanny Tells What McCanns are Really like” !!!! .So I assumed ( incorrectly it turns out ) she actually knew them personally very well…)
Flipped inside, 2.5 pages of guff..she only worked at resort, and saw them infrequently, but says they were a” beautiful loving family ” blah blah blah…wonder how much she was paid by said mag. to sprout all that.Given she barely saw them and does not in fact know them. She regurgitated the so called man by the boat stuff which read in cold light of day sounded like a load of manure

Yes, I believe she died the previous evening. This is purely a theory but goes like this:-
One of the families had a baby monitor. Perhaps they put all of the children in one room with the monitor, sedated the children, locked the door and went out for the evening, believing that they would hear if any of the children woke up or if anyone tried to break in.
No one checked the apartment, but on returning to the apartment in the early hours, perhaps the worse for alkohol, find that a terrible accident has happened.
They all realise that they have been grossly negligent and that an autopsy will also reveal the sedatives in the children. As this accident could have happened to any of their children, a pact is made to cover things up. Their whole worlds could be destroyed if the truth came out. The alkohol is clouding their judgment, but once they start down this route can not go back. The following evening the abduction is played out, making sure that they regularly check the rooms to, they think, avoid any critasism.
The other child could have been used to give the appearance that Madeleine was at the creshe.

This has been confirmed by sources of the PJ and the National Institute of Medical Jurisprudence.
For the investigators, it was crucial to determine the paternity of the girl who was concieved by artificial insemination.
These enquiries were made in England, advanced our sources. It was necessary to know if the biological father of the child could be involved in a possible abduction of the girl.
The English authorities, after enquiries at the ***** bank used by the McCann couple, determined the identity of the true biological father .
Police concluded that he had nothing to do with the disappearance of Maddie.
The fact of Gerry not being the father of Madeleine is vitally important, “It explains why the markers of DNA of Madeleine are so different to the DNA markers of her siblings”, a police source said.
In other words the genetic make up of Maddie is not equal to the siblings and to that of Gerry, that is confirmed by the samples of DNA analyzed by the Laboratory of Birmingham.

COMMENT: Would be helpful if Team McCann could confirm or deny. After all, it hardly affects the enquiries the PJ are making about what happened on 3rd May. If he confirmed it, it would be a relevant fact to our understanding of the case. If he refuses either to confirm or deny, then once again it would tend oi suggest that many of the real truths in this case are being hidden behind layer upon layer of distortion, evasion and secrecy.
Also, I wondered what the law is about naming the father on a birth certificate is where it is known that the ‘real’ father is someone esle, as now appears to be the case here.
QUESTIONS
So, was this an IVF baby?
If so, is someone else the father?
Have the MvCanns deceived their family and friends into thinking that Madeleine was really Gerry’s?
