A friend of the McCanns says: “This shows the scale of the problem in Portugal and appears to show that the Portuguese police seem to be looking in the right direction. It may provide vital leads”
But the raids were not directly connected with the Madeleine case. Operation Predator was six months in the planning

The reason that the 17 year old boy who shot Rhys has not been brought to justice is because of the “vow of silence” surrounding that part of Liverpool. It is well known, amongst those of us who live up north and hear things on local radio etc, that the police are aware of WHO shot Rhys, WHY he shot Rhys, WHO he MEANT to shoot instead of Rhys, and the fact that anyone who comes forward and says I will give evidence is putting their whole family in jeopardy.
Look at Jesse James and all the Moss Side shootings. One of the best colleges in Manchester is in Hulme where Moss Side is, and one of my children goes there, and I freeze when I am at work and the radio does a “newsflash” of another shooting in Moss Side, a teenager has been gunned down.
These are the times we live in - gangs rule our streets and in “poorer” or so-called “socially-deprived” areas, people fear for their lives if they speak out. I am often asked why I “let” my teenager go to that college - its simple, it is an excellent post-16 college which gets the most of the students and has had many students go on to Oxbridge universities.

Cant you see the obvious in the statements from Gerry which are likely factual. OK well not obvious but I sure think its important and lends credence to a theory that was long planned for…..
He said (repeatedly) that he and Kate ‘WERE NOT INVOLVED’ in the abduction of their daughter. And he also said that they regretted not being there ‘AT THE MOMENT’ she was abducted.
So there we have it. They were not involved at the moment of abduction. Notice there was no regret expressed at not being there before abduction.
There’s only one conclusion to be reached if you follow the logic. Their daughter, whether already dead or sedated was removed by arrangement by a third party (and likely unknown personally by them).
This theory creates one hell of a disturbing problem though and it relates to the paedophilia angle. The parents are very willing to see this as a paedophile abduction and are encouraging investigations of such ‘rings’.
Could it be possible that everyone or some here are unknown paedophiles themseves and there is such clever planning to this crime that they believe their tracks are covered. After all, what better way to create a smokescreen than to insist on abduction (which is technically true) by paedophile (which is technically true) whilst hiding the unthinkable and unbelievable about yourself. Create a celebrity out of yourself and engender worldwide sympathy and nobody would dare believe such a thing would they???
Or could it be even more brilliantly planned. Not even Columbo could come up with this. Read carefully.
You are a paedophile who believes that your child is reaching the age of disposal. You arrange an unknown paedophile third pary to come and take your child and cover all tracks of connections between you that may have been established. You then claim your child has been abducted and promote the idea that paedophilia should be persued as a motive. ALL TECHNICALLY TRUE. The police then discover at some future point evidence of the paedophile abductor. No connection to the Tapas 9 can be established (wouldnt even be considered) and they’re all off the hook scot free. A smokescreen. A stitch up? A perfect crime. And even if the police dont find the ‘abductor’ its still a probable undetectable crime.
These angles give full credence to the truth in Gerry’s statements (on the surface) but more worryingly it denotes that this act and the statements were long in the planning.
It may be wrong but its very logical and worrying to think about and I’ll give you a final reason why this angle has to be taken so seriously.
On one hand they suspect and encourage a paedophile abduction (investigation). This would indicate likely death. On the other hand they insist through a media blitz that their daughter is still alive. You cant logically have it both ways and it could be a vital indicator here as to a partial truth.
Again the only conclusion can be that indicating your daughter is still alive is, alongside a gigantic planned media campaign to promote such a view, a clear sign of a very planned smokescreen to engender support for you, your innocence and deflect from the obvious conclusion that you are HIDING SOMETHING, especially when you promote the idea of paedophilia as a motive. Its a contradiction that cannot be squared. Period.
Why no earlier statements of acceptance of likely death whilst still maintaining hope? Why no consistent appeals to the supposed abductor?
Indeed, something is obviously being hidden here by someone in the circle,or the circle as a whole.
All the above theories might be pie in the sky but they are very plausible in the worst case scenario.

I think the twins definitely look like Gerry…very much so. Not so sure Madeleine looks as close to Gerry as the twins.
Funny - I think just the opposite there. Madeleine is definitely a McCann in my eyes - although of the twins, Sean looks most like his father. The other twin girl, looks like none of them. Her hair is so blonde - not like Kate’s or Madeleines’ who is more strawberry blonde. Plus she’s much bigger - more solid than the others.

Paedo ring bust was in the planning for last six months, it happens to occur, and the spin cycle gang decide to connect it with the Maddy investigation.
It keeps the McCanns on the back foot (can’t criticise the PJs for once), but changes nothing in terms of where the investigation is inexorably heading……..

Someone else said that Rhys Jones parents also used wristbands to highlight the cause of Rhys’s death - difference was - they GAVE them out FREE.

Stan is right, we may never know what happened.
Look at the Rhys Jones investigation. The boy was shot by another boy in broad daylight, the killer escaped in a bicycle… and so what? Hardly a well planned crime committed by experts. Yet the police has been unable to find the killer despite successive public appeals. Anything in the press questionning british police?
This case possibly illustrates the double-standards of our great press. Let’s slag off the portuguese police and portugal a bit more - donate millions to a fund promoting parental negligence in britain - and overlook the drama of the parents of Rhys Jones and others who lost someone they genuinely valued.

Yes, losing sperm or mixing it up happens. But Madeleine truly looks like Gerry in several photos - her mouth comes from his side of the family not Kate’s. I’m great with faces - I never forget a face as it gets ingrained on my brain when I see photos or meet people live - I guess I’m a very visual person you could say - and the first thing that struck me in the photo with Madeleine where her hair is unkempt, and she’s in a blue top, I think it’s more recent perhaps a school photo from the previous school year, her mouth is the same shape as Gerry’s and his sister Phil. As awful as that may sound, she has some traits of his side of the family. I’d be shocked if he was not the father…..because their are similiarites there. Gerry is also small - so was/is Madeleine for her age….

We know it was updated on 13/3/07 BUT we don’t know if that update was the mention of the new baby. On FU would the date of update still show as 13/03/07 if she had, for example, amended her email address or something similar? I know lots of people on FU who have never updated their “What am I doing now?” type info on FU, but who notify any change of email address in order to remain contactable.
We know she had been a member since 14/8/01 but we don’t know for sure when she posted the “news” about the baby. We are assuming that was the most recent update, and therefore assuming that the youngest child was still under a year old at the time.
I still think the McCanns are guilty of something far more than simple neglect, but let’s not get too carried away on the strngth of assumptions.

The connection is Exeter. Leicester is in the Midlands. According to the article, they did have 2 kids but it may be that one of them was from a former relationship.
With no hard proof it’s the same Jane Tanner, it looks quite reasonable to assume it is on circumstantial evidence.
