Madeleine McCann: Ben Needham Is Missing, Operation Predator And Maddie’s Cops
MADDYWATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann.
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “McCanns warn: We’ll sue over claims we drugged our children”
Page 7: “Madeleine parents: We have never sedated our children” – The “slurs” are “outrageous” and “hurtful”.
The theory that they sedated all of their children is a “wild theory”. It appears in Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas, a source for “some of the more outlandish reporting”. The Express reproduces the outlandish reporting for its readers to digest and marvel at
“Grim hunt for images as child-porn ring is smashed” – Operation Predator is a clamp down on child porn in Portugal. A friend of the McCanns says: “This shows the scale of the problem in Portugal and appears to show that the Portuguese police seem to be looking in the right direction. It may provide vital leads”
But the raids were not directly connected with the Madeleine case. Operation Predator was six months in the planning
THE SUN front page: “Maddie: cop raid on pervs”
Page 7: “McCANNS’ DELIGHT AT PAEDO SWOOP” – Kate and Gerry McCann are “encouraged” that 300 Portuguese police “smashed” a 80-strong paedophile ring
“’FIND OUR KIDS TV’” – Kate and Gerry have backed a TV channel that features the 150,000 UK children that go missing each year. Pictures of missing children will be shown at GP surgeries, shopping malls and hospitals
Page 37: “MISSING BEN AGONY – We were too working class to get help like Maddie’s family” – The mother of Ben Needham, who disappeared 16 years ago on the Greek island of Kos – sees haves and have nots
“I was 19,” says Kerry Grist. “Just an ordinary girl from a council estate and people thought, ‘She will just go away in a few months, have another child and forget about it…I don’t think people thought Ben was important enough.” Or the media didn’t…
Kate McCann is a doctor. Gerry McCann is a heart specialist. Both Madeleine and Ben are blonde
DAILY MAIL page 5: “Huge porn swoop offers hope of a Maddie clue”
“Could Ben still be alive?” – Ben Needham disappeared from near his grandparents’ farm house
Says Mrs Grist, Ben’s mum: “Madeleine’s parents are middle class people with important jobs and seemed to have had a publicity machine behind them straight away”
DAILY MIRROR page 15: “WHY STAY IF SHE HAD SOMETHING TO HIDE?”
A pal of Kate McCann says: “She could not tear herself away [from Portugal]. What mother could leave the place where her daughter vanished? …If she had something to hide why would she hang around in Praia da Luz waiting for the police to come knocking on the door?”
We don’t know. Why?
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE POLICE ARREST 80 PAEDOS”
Madeleine McCann does not have her own police force – not yet. But the police working on one case are Portuguese, like the police in her case. It’s an “EXCLUSIVE”
Page 7: “MADDIE COPS RAID PAEDOS” – The Star sees Gerry McCann leaving his home in a car. “STRAIN” reads the caption
DAILY TELEGRAPH page 17: “Madeleine police turn spotlight back on paedophiles”
“Missing children TV hopes to jog patients’ memories” – Ben Needham is missing. Xiao Xiao is missing. Lee Thomas Wedge is missing. Leanna Petrenko is missing. Abigaile Sommerville is missing. Andrew Paul Gosden is missing
THE INDEPENDENT page 24: “Mother in plea to missing son” – Ben Needham is missing
THE TIMES page 11: “Madeleine police return to kidnap theory”
German and Dutch police are believed to have been asked to trace and interview guests staying at the Ocean Club when Madeleine went missing
THE GUARDIAN: No Madeleine news today

Stevo - even if they could have a perfect view of the apartment - by the time it takes to run past the pool, past the hedge, along the narrow path and up the steps - any accident or dangerous incident - or even an intruder - would be long over!
For example - my childs stairgate popped loose when she shook it in a tantrum and it fell down the stairs with her on it. I was right there when it happenedand launched myself downstairs after it.
Tinkerbell I was not - I cannot fly! Child was laughing and my toe was broken - I did not manage to stop it going to the bottom step despite my supergirl attempt - conclusion - so what if they were in view of the kids - that was not adequate prevention - and it would have taken more than a simple accident on stairs to need a cover-up - sedation plus accident more likely!!!!

No it is a lie. My family does not own 24 Horas newspaper . My mother used to write copy for it, but that was before her stroke. Since then, she can’t even read. So it’s all lies. We simply have no evidence that Gerry is not MM father, and yes we are hot on the trail of the donor uterus and have bagged the bloody tampon…it too is off to the top forensic lab in London.
Of course, we know what we are doing, our sniffer dogs found what Krugel couldn’t.

Look at the patio guard rail at the top of the steps. It would almost certainly be a fatal fall if a toddler fell from it onto the steps.

Distasteful? It was a joke. And yes sit is excellent evidence that his daddy’s baby batter was in the mix.

Supergirl,
We’ve been asking ourselves since June/July why if they believe they were targeted by paedo would they permit photos of the twins to go out? They are liars imho.

What part of the USA are you at? Let me tell you - the grass is always greener on the other side. The taxes and cost of living are amazingly low compared to Europe.

Clarence Mitchell’s salary is being donated by some wealthy benefactor, who chooses to remain anonymous, I believe. His predecessor, Justine McGuinness, was paid from funds from the Find Madeleine Fund, though.

As distasteful as that comment is Ramon it will be probably used by team McCann as proof that G is indeed the dad!

lol Jolie - sad but true! We feel the country is like the Titanic just 10 or so years before it breaks apart. weak dollar and terrible foreign policy. Ugh. What to do?

I can’t see how 7 kids all together makes any more sense or has any more credibility to what happened that night. There may have been 7 kids together at some stage but so what?
I’m still thinking about Madeleine wandering out - not sedated and she fell out of that arch onto the steps. Expanding on this idea…I’m thinking that it would be possible to see the Tapas Bar from that archway and Madeleine could have been stood in there shouting for her mummy or daddy before slipping and falling.

Skyscraper News Reporter:
Clouseau is it true that your search has lead you to visit the Vatican and are we to believe that you will be investigating Priests?
IPC: We have bugged several confessionals in Catholic Churches within a two hour drive of the resort. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on our on-going pedophile hunt, but yes we did uncover some inaudible moans and groans during confession and we have sent the tapes to London for further voice analysis………
R: Couldn’t the noise be crying and weeping…….many people moan when unhappy. Confessionals are notoriously a very distraught and negative place.
ICP: Why are you trying to waylay my investigation? What is your motive? Better watch out - already I have my suspicions about you lousy nosy reporters…….
R: Easy does it big guy. There may be reasonable explanations for confessional moans.
ICP: The only acceptable explanations are the ones I create…….that and yes, I do listen to the Pink Panther….that is true.

Does the Fighting Fund pay the wages of Clarence Mitchell and the likes? If so that is wrong, the money people donated was supposed to directly help find a child, not fuel spin and PR.

This is the UK definition of Unconditional Bail. (I don’t think Portuguese law will be any different.)
“Unconditional bail
When the Court or Police grant unconditional bail the accused is simply under a duty to ‘surrender to custody’, namely to attend Court/police station at the given time.
No conditions should be attached to bail unless considered necessary to prevent one of the exceptions to bail, such as absconding, the commission of a further offence or interference with witnesses.”
If the McCanns refused to return I think they could be considered to have “absconded”.

The poor kid’s nose is exactly like Gerry’s. It was a joke but that nose ain’t. I feel really sorry he got the McCann snout. This is a satire site isn’t it? I read through some very raccous jokes on Anorak and my quip is nothing compared to them.
********
Pissflap, if you shoved something glistening, hard and throbbing into his mouth I think he’d shut up. Either that or threaten to steal his wallet.

If our family were in a position to leave the US, we’d seriously consider it, too. The government certainly isn’t run the way it’s supposed to, the way we were taught in school. The older one gets, the darker the picture grows.
These days, politically speaking, one of the best things about living in the US is that you are much less likely to be bombed by the US government.

Yes, I know to southerners that North is north of Watford Gap (interestingly named as it’s not near Watford!). But I had never heard of Leicester as being in the north east…to me that’s Newcastle, Sunderland etc.

Does anyone know of anything positive that Team McCann are doing to actually find their daughter?
October 11th, 2007 at 5:25 pm
JB Just because people haven’t commented on a statement doesn’t mean they agree with it.
The fathers pinoccio nose part I agree with but I think that you will find no one wants the twins to be commented on.
From the start the Mccans and their expensive PR should have asked that no images be shown of the twins.
Then again they should not have left the twins unattended either.
I think you will also find JB that most people in here signedthe petition asking for the twins to be taken into the care of other family members since their parents are suspected of being involved in the death of their other child.
So nice try JB but you see we are the only ones who do give a shite about the twins!!!!
October 11th, 2007 at 5:25 pm
JB,
You are making a fuss about that comment? Your post goes on and on and doesn’t single that sentence out at all. No neves were struck by you inane comment this is a satire news site. Plus he can get his snaggle nose fixed with the wonders of plastic surgery by the time he’s eligable to go under the knife plastic surgery will be even better than it is today and he’ll get the perfect cute button nose genes tried to deny him.
Just like adults - not all children are cute & pretty. Sorry to bust your rose coloured specs but get over it.

The latest “theory” that there were at least seven children in the McCanns flat on the fateful night, with the explanation that this would make it easier for the parents to check on all the children at once has to be the biggest load of eyewash ever !! Just another example of the extremes some sectors are reaching in this whole sad farce.
Firstly, SEVEN children all apparently under 4 in the same room ?? and they would eventually go to sleep when ? or do we now suggest they sedated the lot ? One of those was apparently being sick so would disturb all the others and would no doubt cry every time he/she did so. One was very young, nine months I think I heard, so the chaos in there would be unimaginable to any parent, plus I only recall hearing that the Police carried out the - still sleeping - twins like a couple of scaks of flour, no-one said they took any more kids out of there so no, I think there were only the three McCann children in there and I believe all were sedated with a substance like “Calpol” or “Tixylix” or something from Daddy & Mummy’s surgery “goodies cupboard” , and I believe that because of Gerry McCann’s behaviour on the “Youtube” video in which he denies doing so, which puts paid to any truth in that statement !!

Now please go back and read the post I was addressing and then maybe expel some gas and you’ll manage to wriggle your noisy pneumatic head out of your arse.
WELL SAID!!!
October 11th, 2007 at 5:24 pm
Ramon.
I don’t think that the right to silence includes not attending an interview when requested, even if you intend not to answer any questions. As far as I am aware the McCanns are on Unconditional Police Bail. I’m sure that conditions could be applied to the bail that would allow for an arrest warrant to be issued should the McCanns refuse to return.

While the ‘ugly stick’ comment might be distasteful when used to refer to an innocent two-year-old, it does not merit an abusive post report, imo. Doing so would be an extreme overreaction on your part.

‘I think the publicity was started by other members of the McCann family and they obviously had to go along with it to avoid suspision.’
And very quickly all that attention when to Gerry’s head, imo, and now they are spinning out of control……hurtling towards the buffers with no brakes.

Struck a nerve have I? It wasn’t the point you were making that was objectionable - everyone is entitled to their own opinion. It was the phrase you used:
” . .the boy hit the McCann ugly family tree branch(poor boy’s got the old man’s ever growing snout)”
Well, if you think that that comment about a 2 year old was relevant to your argument and other people agree with you then it must be me. I stand corrected. Not.
