Look ,we can all see how much these two decent people have been both supported, and persecuted. They are going through the very worst, gut wrenching , soul destroying
time, a real hell on earth- so playing amateur sleuth from the comfort of an armchair ,
or playing God and judging them, serves no harm when done in private, but in print, will pile more hurt and damage, and stress to the point that could cause one, or other of them, to have a breakdown, goodness knows how they cope with the daily see - saw nature of conflicting announcements.
When somebody is standing in faith for the safe recovery of their beloved little daughter, and they have to put up with the horrific conflicting press announcements that one day state as though it is fact- Maddy is dead, then the next day Maddeleine is alive, for goodness sake give the poor so-and -so´s a BREAK- they don´t need the additional fault finding of their habits, especially not remarks in print that simply TWIST THE KNIFE, if you have spare time, do something helpful and constructive.

Anyone got any comments on the channel 4 ‘dispatches’?. I was surprised to see how dark it was around the apartment. And that there was no way the door of the apartmen t could be seen from the Tapas bar. Also what about Gerry was having a tennis lesson between collecting the children and going out to dinner!! I had previouslyread that ‘ they’ spent the time bathing the children, spending some time with them annd relaxing before having their own dinner. More changes is the story.

Personally I don’t think it is a flimsy excuse, I find it very plausible. I also think figures were exaggerated by the tabloid press. Like I said KM’s practice did confirm her excuse. Why would the practice lie?

I think Kate brings alot of this on herself. Look at some of the comments she makes…
find a body, prove we killed her? It’s like she is taunting anyone that thinks she is guilty. The Mccanns are guilty of putting their good times ahead of the safety of their children. I dont know if they are guilty of more in the disappearance of Madeleine, but I had a feeling from day one that Madeleine was not taken. We may never know what happen to her and what a shame lil Madeleine may never be found.
If the Mccanns dont want to be looked at as being guilty then IMO they need to start acting innocent. Look at the lil bit of facts we have, things dont add up i’m afraid.

It really does amaze me how anything said by the McCann’s is automatically taken out of context! And all these bitchy comments about Kate are all down to pure jealousy. Remember Madeline? So they made the biggest mistake of their lives and you’re going make sure they don’t forget it aren’t you - Show some compassion please!

I can not believe the negativity on here regarding the McCann’s. Have any of you people ever had a tragedy in your life? The McCann’s are far from perfect. Yes they have had great educations, great careers, good paycheques,a beautiful home, gorgeous kids and their extended families that stick by them. Are you people jealous? Do you want all that? and then have your 4 year old daughter stolen from you?? The McCann’s have admitted they were wrong to leave their children alone while they went out for dinner, and yes, shame on them for that however do you not think for one minute how much guilt they have for doing that? It still does not give the person that took Maddie the right to help themselves to soneone else’s child! They have to live with that for the rest of their lives whether they ever get Maddie back or not. I am sure they would love to walk in your shoes and have all three of their kids beside them then to be living in the hell on earth that they are living in. So stop your nonsense and pray for them,pray for Maddie’s safe return,get out and go looking for her and be the hero that returns this beautiful little girl back to her Mommy and Daddy. God knows you need to stop running the McCann’s into the ground. I will hope and pray that you will never have to go through what Kate and Gerry McCann are going through.

I think that Madeleine is alive and hope that the new inspector and the new campaign will get results.
Has anyone heard of Operation Christmas Child? It was brought to my attention just recently. Last year thousands of schools, churches, groups and individuals from the UK took part and helped to send 1.24 million boxes to children in 12 countries.
Basically all you do is get an empty shoe box and fill it with things like pens, notepad, hair slides small soft toy, hair brush, packet of sweets, toy car, tooth brush and paste etc. For more information go to;

As far as Robert Murat needing money is concerned. He will get all the money he needs to last him for the rest of his life when the Portuguese police release him from his arguido status. Max Clifford will see to that!!! Don’t feel sorry for him, he may have got away with it!!!
Perhaps you should lay off Kate and Gerry for a while and start calling him, after all he will soon be in multi millionaire mode, earning far more money than you say the McCanns have made, and he won’t be giving a penny to abducted children. In the meantime, why don’t you all club together and make some t-shirts for him saying Robert Murat is innocent, and send him the proceeds.

The Mccanns became rich with the whole story. They even have an online store which was previously called Madeleine Store.How could they think of such a name knowing she was dead.
And even think of making a store.
Are they going to share the fund money with other people who lost their child as well?
And what about sending some money to the poor Robert Murat who is in financial difficulties, caused by the Mccanns?
If they are that human, it is time to help the poor Murat.

I have been a strong supporter of Maddy’s parents since day one.
I still am.
I never doubted them.
I still hang on the hope that they receive a miracle.
Finding Maddy alive.
If not at least find some clue. closure.
I still pray for Maddy and family.
It is too bad so much time has past and the portuguese police messed up this search.
I hope Gerry and Kate McCann will have the strength to go forward with support and help toward new pedifile laws.

Post last night wasn’t very clear! I shut down around 7pm - I’m8 mths pregnant with no. 6, have an adorable but insomniac toddler and a child with special needs who requires position changing at night (never had a nanny or respite care, spend time with them on family holidays and home ed them all!)
I believe that Madeleine died a violent death in the apartment. How many of the group was responsible, I don’t know.
Also BI + brain injured. My daughter was discriminated against (has Down’s syndrome) from birth but at 3 mths was mismanaged by a lunatic doctor which has left her with severe cerebral palsy. She is now 6 years old. Her records are inconsistent and incomplete, other doctors have pulled rank, questions are unanswered and we are very unpopular for seeking out the truth. Does this sound familiar?

Murder, I wanted to commend you for your thoughts today, especially for the comment about Kate and Gerry jogging. THis thought has actually occured to me , a rumored pro-McCanner, on numerous occasions. The whole jogging thing is so public, so frequent, so… funny (funny strange, not funny ha ha). Maybe I just read too many Sidney Sheldon novels was a teenagers, but when I put myself in K and G’s shoes I think a lot about how in the world you’d find a private place to discuss your next move/the latest , since obviously they are fully bugged. Of course, this week, I read in an American newspaper about little flying “insects” that the government will soon be able to fly around to spy on folks. Scary. Anyway, thanks for your thoughts today… I find myself generally irritated with the shallow thinking of some of the so-called anti-McCann here but to me, your thoughts are clear and very reasonable, without all the emotional crap and mental riffraff that others engage in (”yeah but they LOOKED guilty, Kate has too many clothes to be truly sad”, etc).

Regarding the “last photo” and the mirror forum.
I am having a hard time believing that someone so intelligent and prone to giving so much attention to detail could read that entire analysis and come out with the response you did. “Because it LOOKS funny, that’s why.”
Go back to the Mirror forum. Read beyond what the guy wrote, the angles of sun, the yada yada yada. Read farther. Read all the 200 pages afterwards. You will see, on many pages, some really serious debunkings of the initial analysis from a lot of really, really smart people.
The simple fact , alone, that Madeleine’s hair works with the background (each individual strand) basically disproves this theory. Talk to anyone who doctors photos. It’s nearly impossible to do a job like that for a professional, let alone a heart surgeon in a fit of panic.
So I take it, Stevo, you are getting off your Euthanasia kick and getting onto something more like what Taybie the Saxon is saying– Madeleine was not alive on May 3?

Post 886: I am an American woman whose ancestors were Irish. I am a practising Catholic. And I think Kate McCann killed Madeleine by accident and she and Gerry have covered it up. Their visit to the Pope was a charade and their religiosity is a farce. Most American women like me — Catholic, churchgoers, are deeply sketpical about the McCanns. Perhaps British Catholics may be more naive than American Catholics.
