Turn about has got to be fair play - if we are permitted to scrutinize the nuances of the McCanns, surely it is fair that we are treated in the same manner, what? it is turn-about-is fair- play right?

You’re right on that one!! people working at the resort are not bound to know who “owned” each child. My sister and I have 8 children between us; while I have 3 sons, she has 3 sons and 2 daughters, because we’re close and the kids grew up together, people in the town never distinguished which children were hers or mine, this even though her kids and mine don’t look alike. Even acquaintances were always mixed up as to who “owned” each child, and even though I have no girls, a lot of people thought one or the other of my nieces was my own. Of course in this particular situation it’s impossible for the staff to know exactly who’s a parent to each child

Like I said…forgiveness is a religious concept. The same with “soul”. I don’t believe in either so you may as well tell me a fairy tale.
Go preach your “soul” and “forgiveness” to the mother’s of Jessica and Holly or to James Bulger’s mum. Go ask them if they’d like to “forgive” to save their “souls”.

While the abduction theory is possible, there are just too many coincidences required to make it feasible.
Given the fact the Mccannsdidn’t even bother looking for her, and their actions since, I stick with the hoax abuction theory and still expect Madeleine’s safe return.

It was only in 1975 that the French repealed the crime of passion excuse for a man who murdered his wife.
I don’t agree with it, but the idea was around for quite a while.
And, yes, you certainly can have varying degrees of neglect. Mild rape - er yes! There was a case of a man who was found guilty of rape because the woman changed her mind AFTER penetration had occurred with her consent. It was rape because he didn’t withdraw soon enough after she had withdrawn her consent.

Just because some sites and hotels offer a listening service it does not mean it’s a good/acceptable idea.
The fact that the McCann’s may have “more or less” done the same thing themselves doesn’t make their Baby Listening Service ™ any more good/acceptable than an unacceptable service offered at some sites and hotels which might be used by people who seem sadly lacking in their care and consideration of their young children.
In my opinion of course.

No forgiveness is for the person who was injured, not for the person doing the injury. It is to free the soul of those that were unjustly injured so each may live the better life if not and maybe even perhaps the good life.
It is not to forgive in the justice sense, it is to “forgiven” to free one’s soul of pain…………so that the wrong is no longer considered and no longer held close.

Regarding the “abduction” theory. When a child is truly abducted, there are clear cut questions that are ALWAYS asked.
Let me start :
1. When was the last time that someone saw the child who is NOT emotionally (i.e. a close relative or friend or acquaintance of the parents) involved with the child.
In Madeleine’s case :
A : There has not yet been an independent person who can give a factual, traceable account of the last time Madeleine was actually seen!
No. 1 is just for starters, I could go on the whole evening. My point here is that the basic questions that are asked normally have very very clear-cut answers, yet, in Madeleine’s case the answers range from 1 - 20 varying accounts of each question!
IMHO Madeleine was NOT abducted - and I’m talking from experience here, and NOT from the top of my head!!!!!!

Forgiveness is a biblical concept. Even if you forgive someone it shouldn’t mean they go unpunished. One reason I’m not a religious person is because I don’t buy the forgiveness thing. Sure, I can forgive, but there’s a lot of people who think forgiving someone means to set them free or get them off the hook without any consequences.

Abduction Abduction Abduction….like a stuck record with not evidence.
There is NO evidence after all this time of adbduction, there is evidence and more evidence and more evidence - circumstancial, perception etc etc, but evidence nontheless.
And they neglected their child in the eyes of real caring parents of which I have come to know a few here and know of amny others in my life - all of us agree that we would NEVER have left little ones like this - its moral;ly WRONG.
