Madeleine McCann: When Waiters Attack, Kate McCann Childcare Inc. And Feudal Powers
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE – ‘McCANNS OR A FRIEND MUST BE TO BLAME’. Tapas bar waiter’s astonishing attack”
Jose Batista served the McCanns and party on that night Madeleine disappeared. “I did not think she had been taken by an abductor,” says he. “I told them [the police] it had to be one of the family or a friend. It had to be someone close”
Mr Batista is a “crucial eyewitness”
Page 4: “Nanny would have cost just £10” – Batista is standing with his “partner” Maria Fernandes, who also works at the Ocean Club complex. She does not speak. She smiles for the camera. Why is she there? They are holding hands. He says the Tapas 9 did check on their children regularly: “I know that because I often took food to the table and found one of them not there. I would take it back to the table to heat it up. But it was always the men who went to check never the women.” Apart from the time Kate McCann went to check. So not always the men. Jose thought that strange. Why?
Says he: “They left heir children alone. If I had been in that position I certainly wouldn’t have done that.” Maria smiles
“Kate may be a child carer after ruling out GP work” – But would she make living at it?
THE SUN front page: “MADDIE EXCLUSIVE: WHAT WAITERS SAW. Kate left kids alone 3 hours a night”
It’s Jose Baptista, not to be confused with the Express’s Jose Batista, even if this waiter does look very similar and is seen holding hands with his “wife”, also called Maria
Pages 4 and 5: “The men normally checked on kids..Kate only went that one night”
Kate and Gerry are “doctors”. Says Jose: “They left their children alone for up to three hours every night.” Apart from when they all went out as family, with the “cranky” children
Maria speaks: “I definitely remember Madeleine. She was like a little angel, very quiet and good as gold. Just a lovely little blonde girl.” Blonde, you say?
“CAREER PLANS STILL ON HOLD”
DAILY STAR page 7: “holiday waiter describes horror night girl vanished – MADDIE: ‘ONLY PARENTS OR PALS COULD HAVE DONE IT’” – Jose Batista says…
“Kate wants job in child care”
DAILY MAIL front page: “I want to work in child care says Maddie’s mother”
Page 7: “Kate McCann ‘wants a job in child welfare’” – So it is “claimed”. So she ahs “told friends”
“FRIENDS ‘SHARED EIGHT BOTTLES OF WINE A NIGHT’” – Says Jose Baptista. Yes, eight bottles between nine Britons. On holiday. In the sun. Indeed, is that all?
DAILY TELEGRAPH page 9: “Madeleine’s mother ‘to as GP for a child welfare job’”
“One possibility is that she will set up a charity to raise awareness of the extent of child abductions across Europe, and help parents and children who suffer such an ordeal”
Fernando Jose Pinto Montiero, Portugal’s attorney general, says the country’s Ministerio Publico, likened to the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service, is a “feudal power”

1281 — I followed the Elizabeth Smart case closely. First, Elizabeth’s sister Katherine saw Elizabeth being led away by her abductor. In fact, the guy ended up being caught because Katherine remembered what he looked like and figured out he was someone who had worked at their house. Second, there was evidence the guy had come into the house through a window. Third, Elizabeth Smart survived and could tell the police what had happened. Madeleine McCann seems to have disappeared into thin air. The only witness to a potential abduction is Jane Tanner, who has motive to lie and whose story was dismissed by the police. People like me who are skeptical of the McCanns know that abductions do occur; we just don’t believe Madeleine happened to be abducted.

1. There is no ‘evidence’ to suggest so - the area is small and compact and quiet as opposed to a bustling tourist centre.
2The PJ also admit a strong possibility that Madeleine is dead
3The British police have actually said NOTHING on the matter
4There would have been limited opportunity to take a distressed, one assumes, distraught and screaming child from an appartment in such a limited complex where the parents - who themselves and their friends said ‘ the tapas restaurant was OVERLOOKING the apartment’
5There is a great deal of plausible evidence from the parents to suggest they had little care for thier children
6Portugal has no problem of child neglect or children being left alone by their parents unattended - all hotels and complexes are child friendly and offer either child watching or baby monioring services
7Madeleine wasn’t the first child to disappear in that area, in the last three years under similiar circumstances - are we talking about Joana Cipriano because she did die and it is only now that questions are coming up about Amaral’s handing of the case!
Look carefully at the implications of leaving three children alone - go figure it out!

They did not leave their children unsupervised for hours at a time. They were checked on every 20 - 30 minutes. They set up their own “listening service” because the site offered a creche service but not a listening service, apparently, although it did at some of its other sites.
A lot of holiday sites and family-friendly hotels offer a listening service whereby a member of staff patrols the apartments listening for children crying and alerts the parents if and when it happens. The McCanns set up their own such service.
I am not saying they were wise to do so. In fact, they have been proved tragically wrong although the chances of such an abduction, if it did occur must be trillions to one against.
In the UK there is absolutely no way their other children would be removed from them. I have worked closely with social services for years. Believe me, cases which are in a different league for neglect still do not result in children being taken from their families if it can possibly be avoided. Do you know how difficult it is to have a case even taken on by social services? It’s very difficult. In this case, all the children seem happy and very well cared for as well as totally at ease with their parents. Madeleine positively radiates happiness and joy in the pics we see of her. They all three look healthy and well-cared for. These parents, with 20-30 minute checks on their children who were asleep 50 yards away, might not even be advised never to do the same thing again. I’m not sure because there are thousands of parents who have done the same thing or who use the listening services in similar sites. If the McCanns were prosecuted, countless others known to have done the same thing would also have to be prosecuted.
This does NOT mean I think they were right, wise or responsible in that particular action. @0 minutes is more than long enough for a child to wake and be distressed. It was a tragically wrong decision. BUT, please believe me, it is unlikely the twins will be taken away from them, unless, of course, they are guilty of something else as well.
Of all the couples in the world, I think we could safely say that the McCanns will never leave their children without direct supervision again. Even when social services have a concern, their main aim is to ensure the same thing doesn’t happen again. I think they’d be satisfied on that point with the McCanns.
Obviously, what I’m saying only applies if they are innocent of anything else.
By the way, Stephanie, Batman kindly told me the other evening that I was inadvertently letting other posters find out my password. My name kept appearing in blue as yours seems to be doing! Is it possible this is happening to you as well? It is only worth worrying about if you are concerned that someone else might impersonate you. I just got my password changed and don’t put it in the website space any more. I’m not interfering but I was glad Batman pointed this out to me so I thought I’d pass the message on. But maybe there is some other reason for your name being blue? Sorry if so. None of my business really. Maybe you actually have a website that you want people to visit?

THE father of Madeleine McCann stunned hotel staff by organising a game of tennis while the massive hunt for his daughter was under way, it was revealed yesterday.
Waiter Jose Baptista, 45, told how the staff were amazed by the calm demeanour of Gerry McCann and his wife Kate in the agonising days after Madeleine disappeared.
Heart specialist Gerry, 39, is also said to have regularly wandered down to the tapas bar at the family’s holiday complex where he was given free bottles of wine to take back to his apartment. Mr Baptista added that staff at the Ocean Club resort in Praia da Luz rarely saw the McCanns display any emotion away from the TV cameras.
“If my kid disappeared I’d go insane. I wouldn’t be able to function. They’d have to lock me away,” said Mr Baptista.
“They were so cool about it. All the staff commented about how they were able to play tennis and take things calmly. Everybody around them seemed more upset than they were.

This was one of the questions I would like an answer to, the other being, why did both G& K say they did not want to return to the family home because of the ‘bad memories’?
Personally, I would think I would want to be around my lost childs belongings, but that’s what I think I would do.

Edit….. If there is evidence of Madeleine in Murat’s house, there’s something else going on here.
++++++++++++++
There is newspaper speculation about evidence at Murat’s house. Just like there is newspaper speculation about the nefarious activities that McCann’s and their friends have allegedly been up to. Why should newspaper speculation about one party carry any more weight than that against other parties?

We’re going to have an arrest before next Tuesday!
Who wants to bet??
October 24th, 2007 at 12:34 am
Fact – Witnesses will be re-interviewed in the next few weeks, this will eliminate the McCann’s from their daughter’s disappearance and bring the Police closer to the abductor/s and hopefully closer to Madeleine.

whats your theory / opinion/ decision?

Ok, I might have missed the post BUT where is the evidence that Maddie is/was autistic?
Maddie has a colub.. thingy. This can be isolated OR part of a ‘condition/syndrome. Has there been any ‘announcement’ that Maddie is/was autistic? or is this proporganda?

I think one of the most telling McCann actions is encapsulated in the following extract from the Donegal News of May 25th, twenty-two days after Madeleine ‘disappeared’. The person being interviewed is Philomena McCann, Gerry McCann’s sister:
QUOTE: Her comments came as a family friend, Katriona Fernandez from Dungloe, confirmed details of an appeal fund which was launched this week.
“I’ve been friends with the McCann family for over fifteen years and was with them when they were here in Dungloe at Easter. We were at the beach together. The fund will be used first and foremost in the search for Madeleine, then to help with legal costs for the family and if there is a surplus it will be donated to similar charities such as Bernardos and ChildLine,” Katriona said.
“Last weekend we had a bag pack in Super Valu in Dungloe and raised ¤2,500 and also a collection around the local pubs and gathered another ¤1,500. We have now set up an account with the AIB and people can make a donation that way. It is vital to keep up the momentum in the search for Madeleine. This is an extremely difficult time for the McCann family but they are adamant they will find Madeleine,” Katriona added.
“Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so at the AIB. The account number is 07511020. The sort code is 937339 or people can just go into any AIB branch. The details are also on the website at http://www. findmadeleine.com,” she concluded.END QUOTE
“….the fund will be used first and foremost in the search for Madeleine then TO HELP WITH LEGAL COSTS FOR THE FAMILY”!!……..
What legal costs were two ‘innocent’ people envisaging on May 25th?

“6Portugal has a problem which has recently come to light”
The Paedo ring case “Casa Pia” has nothing about abductions, nothing at all that you can relat to Madie’s case, and was something that was 100 times smaller then the press was showing. Mostly of the involved were released free due the lack of evidences, and it was proved that many of the accusations were only to try to rip money from those famous mentioned as involved.
I believe you are one of the followers of the Daily Mail, and a believer in Santa Claus!!

Madeleine has genetic markers UNIQUE to her. Any dna cannot be mixed up with the twins, or gerry/kate. They’re busted
October 24th, 2007 at 12:21 am
I will bet anyone any money they like that the McConn’s will not be allowed to practice again. The GMc wouldn’t allow it no way!

Did anyone see the documentary on Elizabeth Smart tonight? The girl who was abducted in 2002 and turned up nine months later! Thousands of pictures of Elizabeth were everywhere in and around Salt Lake City and thousands of volunteers searched for her, the people who took her even brought her back to her own neighbourhood and walked freely through the streets with her. But no one recognized her! So why is it so difficult for people to believe that Madeleine was abducted!?!?”
—————————————-
Evidence to the contrary, that’s why.
October 24th, 2007 at 12:20 am
Andrew1288 Is that DNA conclusively Madeleine’s ? Can we even verify the true source of that information? Is it misinformation? What about secrecy?

Dee my attituded to the McCriminals is that - if they did the same in the UK then they would have been charged with child abuse (negligence)!
But to leave three children under the age of 4 (Madeleine was only 3 yrs old when she went missing) is totally against the advice that Kate, as a GP, would give to any parent in her surgery! Let alone in a foreign bedroom, in a foreign country, and knowing how small children can panic in unknown situations! ??????
October 24th, 2007 at 12:16 am
dna in the wheel well of a car? that’s a good indication of death, not abduction that’s why
October 24th, 2007 at 12:16 am
Do you guys still believe that the forensic ADN test results are going to be delivered clear, without any interference from team McCann?
I don’t believe! Since they are taking so long, much longer then usually expected…

3The British police accept it as a possibility.
4There was opportunity
5There is no plausible evidence against the parents to suggest anything to the contrary.
