Having just washed the dishes and then caught up on 600 posts, I have to say the dishes were more informative and engaging then what I have read of late.
I have been posting for ages, coming here as a sanctuary, convinced of guilt despite the media.
And yet the longer I visit here the more uncomfortable I get.
So much has been said about Gerry’s personality disorder, it is all about him -
well most of the regulars have mentioned at least 100 times that they would never leave their children etc etc.
Once would suffice for us to get the general idea of your steadfast and perfect parenting skills.
I don’t think anyone chooses to have a personality disorder, a murderous rage, inept parenting skills etc, I think these things are part of our programming so that the script life wants to play is played.
I consider myself extremely lucky that all 6 of my children are alive and well - and yet I cannot take the credit. Luck and grace were on my side.
Luck that I was programmed to be extremely vigilant and alert.
Whilst realizing that this case is different, I am bored by the regulars endless repetition.
I don’t know how any of them can claim to be good parents because they are forever on line.
Unless good parenting means grunting up from your computer every now and then.
So guys, I enjoyed it, but sad to say it is really time to move on.

The case of abuse I was talking about today: The parent in this case is damned lucky the kid is alive, because he’s repeatedly been put in ACTIVELY dangerous situations. The McCanns, on the other hand, are massively UNlucky, because something far less dangerous resulted in their daughter’s abduction and/or murder. So the end result is not the only measure of how bad the “Abuse” was. It’s nothing but a miracle the kid we’ve got here is alive — he’s been basically living on the streets off and on since he was eight, he had heroin offered to him when he was 10, he literally lived in a house filled with dog and cat feces. I mean, really, how dare you compare that level of neglect to the McCanns decision to have a few drinks while their children slept?

No, I’m saying I don’t know what the canvas thing is, it may be the bar to the Tapas restaurant or to the Millennium restaurant (was that what the other one was called?), or it may be a designated “patio table” area for the bar. I have no idea. But I do know, that the McCanns are claimed to have been eating by the pool. Sorry, I’m not very helpful!
