Yeah but Julie, we’ve gone over this neglect issue since i can remember. People have different opinions of neglect unfortunately and thats just something we have to agree to disagree on.
However, the neglect issue aside, can you believe the abduction theory? It’s quite possible someone took her to their car, abused her not too far away from the complex and then dumped her body somewhere like in the waste bins etc. It’s a simple explanation that, infact, has some evidence.

how do you know that medeleine wasnt regularly abused kris 947 sexually physically or emotionally? Because someone’s a #doctor it doesn’t make them exempt from being nasty/pervy.

968 - Carmen actually in the states they do have varying degrees of abuse, rape and murder and other crimes. You can usually pkea bargain your charges down too.

I was only interested in charge syndrome because there is no video where Madeleine actually talks. You have the eye-deficiency and the non-talking (cleft-palate?). That’s all, but it made me wonder though.

941 - Kris - Neglect and abuse are vastly different.
Neglect means to ignore the needs of the child irrespective of the degree of neglect. The neglect you describe is deemed to be reckless endangerment in the UK not abuse.
Abuse means to deliberately cause harm to the child either physically or mentally.

Stevo, what happened to you Steve in your childhood that leaves such a terrible scar? Something you experienced first hand that left it’s mark and that you are unable to forgive?
I just pose the question and don’t expect really an answer or perhaps the horrid truth. Or could it be that you may have done something of which you can’t forgive yourself? Not necessarily to a child, I don’t mean to imply that, but just something where forgiveness is difficult and you judge others “harshly” …..maybe it was your ex-wife that hurt you - but something that turned your heart hard and perhaps even bitter…….
But I sense you are a very good person. A solid person. One who deserves respect…..and yet there is this tad of worry surrounding your view of the McCanns - none of it is tempered with even a smidgen of mercy and we all need mercy Steveo - no one is that perfect…..

I’m glad my kids have grown up in the care of myself and my wife, though we arent rich financially, we are richer than a lot of people who have much more money than we do!

947 — I agree with you. The McCanns and their friends were reckless in leaving their children alone, but the reason (in my opinion) they were reckless is because their children could have awakened and been frightened, got out of bed and wandered out of the hotel room etc. The chance that their children would have been kidnapped was very low. Is it a chance anyone should ever take? No, no, no. But the risk of fire in the room was greater than the risk of an abductor…which is why I’ve always been highly skeptical that Madeleine was abducted. As I posted before, if someone was able to grab Madeleine and disappear, he’d have to be evil, sane, nimble, strong, clever, and lucky. I don’t believe such a person exists. I think Madeleine died in a banal, albeit dreadful, way and her parents and O’Brien are covering it up.

949 Judge, what you say is true. I would however add that these people are Doctors who in some circumstances would have power over parents and their children, perhaps having the power to remove a child or at least recommend that removal.
They know damn well the consequences to their careers of this. Self preservation has been behind this whole affair (in my opinion!).
I for one wish there was a hell!

The “she” in the image is the same baby. I was proving the point that it’s possible to paste a new image over another even if it has hair on it. Madeleine’s hair in the pool photo overlaps the wall at the back.
One way to check the image is to go to the pool and look at the shape of the rocks. That would prove it conclusively.
In my image, it was random foliage - like the random wall pattern by the pool. Unless someone diligently checked those rocks, you can easily paste hair over anything if it is in the right context.

941 Kris, and as a result of what the McCann’s did …. leaving three young children to their own defences, and one disappearing as a DIRECT result of this, that Madeleine could not be living under any one of the circumstances as you describe. Who caused this neglect in such a scenario? ……. her own parents, because of their irresponsible actions!
They are guilty of child neglect just as any person who allows their children to live under any of the circumstances you describe. You cannot distinguish between neglect of an innocent child ….. this would be a total injustice to any child!
There is, in my mind, no differentiation in MILD child neglect, MODERATE child neglect or SEVERE child neglect. In any of these circumstances you cause harm to a child wether it be mentally or physically. Child neglect remains child neglect.
A child should be made to feel loved, protected in all aspects, be nurtured and enjoy growing up as a child. If you take away any ONE of these aspects you are guilty of child neglect.

Abuse often builds up, layer upon layer, each stage doesnt seem so bas because it isnt much more than the last, so the steps are gradual.
THis neglect, two little tots left witha third slightly older but still a little tot. Add to that these people are Doctors who should definately know better, they are supposed to set an example. Dont downplay this behaviour.
When I saw that Kate was thinking of a career in child welfare (at a high hands clean level of course) I nearly choked on my cuppa tea! I can just imagine that woman talking down to single Mothers about feeding their children fatty foods!!!!

I agree there’s feral kids who are abused with a capital A.
But abuse isn’t about degrees. It isn’t about comparing abusers because that’s self-righteous. It’s about stopping ALL abuse. Sure - these doctors aren’t feeding Madeleine faeces and not putting clothes on her back but they did choose and make a conscious decision to leave 3 toddlers alone while they selfishly went out enjoying themselves, thereby putting those kids at risk.

It is the same child. Probably you had several photos of the child taken in that location from the same spot - first on the bench, then gets off and walks around. You then cut the child from one photo and pasted him into the second, which also has him. The colour of the top, though it is the same top, is off.
Of course it is possible they are identical twins and ther has been a washing accident with one of the tops.

There is no evidence of sedation. That is a media story and nothing more. The statements given by various people differ substantially so nothing can be relied on as fact.
All we know for certain is that the McCanns left the children alone and Madeleine is missing. We all have our theories, but it is crazy to take a theory and deem it to be conclusive of anything.
At this point, we know that the actions of the McCanns were not those one would expect, but that does not make them guilty of anything other than neglect and child abandonment.
