Why go to Portugal so early in May with children, when it’s not even warm yet? When you can’t swim in the pool or go to the beach comfortably?
May 1, and a private place, and yes, some kind of act so awful and criminal that, if one were discovered, would mean a jail sentence of enormous severity. So severe that the body has to disappear….
Tapas 9 (a “6″ upside-down?) and May 3 (5 plus 3=8, turn it sideways, it’s the symbol of eternity)….
Yes, Madeleine was likely killed, and those who did it believe firmly that she will be reborn….
It’s not the only theory, of course, but it’s as good as any.

For some reason, people (usually pro-McCanns) say there’s not much evidence out there in the public domain. Actually there’s plenty if you care to look. If a newspaper says “sources said” I tend to ignore it. If it has the name of the person followed by their comments in quotes you can bet they did say it otherwise they’d risk being sued.
Remember Martin Brunt with his infamous “100% DNA” video? He only said “sources said”. Days later he had egg on his face because the Portuguese guy came out and said it wasn’t 100%.
Like I say, it’s out there if you can be bothered to look for it.

I like the theory about the stairs, and maybe then she was taken to the car in the market - that makes sense.
But what doesn’t make sense to me is this entire cover-up, if what you suggest is true. G. is so cold acting. I figure he could do it fine, but K. will go insane over this if she is not there all ready.

If anyone is interested, 69% of Spanish viewers who saw the interview with the McCanns didn’t believe them according to an opinion poll that has been conducted.

The fact that they have employed a dodgy (Pinochet vintage) extradition lawyer I’d say confirms they have no intention of returning to Portugal. the excuse will be that the PJ are “framing” them - this has already been drip-fed.
Of course anyone who is innocent would gladly co-operate with PJ and go back to help in any way possible to find missing maddy. ha ha ha ha
This is such fun fun fun.

Maddie was so tiny that it wasn’t like they had to hide an elephant.
It is a given that the parents would have lost custody of the twins because sedation was involved. I believe this, and not the professional motive, as the police surmise, is the true motive. Whatever.
Regardless of the reason, they had a motive for a cover-up. Most of us wouldn’t have covered it up and most of us wouldn’t have helped to cover it up, but then we are the same group that wouldn’t think of sedating our children and leaving them alone.
Lots of people think that neither action is any big deal.

Steveo and everyone, stories don’t jive and this is bothersome. I don’t know who much is badly reported though. We need taped transcriptions of all his interviews. That might help at least me, since I can’t see or hear the clips on this old clunker.

People have mentioned extradition which the McCs will fight (in order to create as much delay as possible) if the Portuguese want them to return there for trial. I also remember other people on this forum mentioning that they couldn’t refuse to return to Portugal because of EU agreements (there’s also the Treaty of Windsor 1386). So does anyone know which it is? If they try to resist can they be arrested and hauled back to Portugal, or not?

Yes I figure if they are all involved and this includes Murat, then there is some real nasty stuff going on indeed.
Kate is probably the key.
I still like my abduction scenario though, but truth be told, I have no idea. On one hand, I think okay, I can see that, the parents act so squirrelly, on the other, I think well maybe not.
If we knew what the PL knows, we’d do a better job of this.

Hello, been away for a few days since this is so time consuumiing.
969 Judith C, another inconsistency there in GM statement… And since when are live people haunting as that’s what the media told in exact words a few days ago (- KM said Madeleine came to her - ). Oh that’s an allegory…
I read about the Murat connection and some on line paper states now he’s a friend of the mcCann’s. This is very confusing…too much for my brain obviously… some tough people we have here if anyone of them is guilty… As I’m slow to change my view here’s a last innocent explanation attempt - If MM met RM and played with him there’s a possibility of a secondary transfer of DNA in his house. Apologies if this topic has already been exhausted. Will check again later…

If you read the old newspaper archives, Gerry’s sister Trish was in the papers on May 7:
Trish Cameron, Mr McCann’s sister, said on Friday that she received a telephone call from her brother, who was “hysterical and crying his eyes out”.
She said: “They had put the kids to bed at 7pm and checked on them every half-hour as they had dinner nearby with the rest of the party. Gerry said the window was open, the shutters broken and the door, which had been locked, was hanging open.”
