It would make far more sense for any ‘disappearance’ to take place long before the evening. The last ‘evidence’/sighting of her on 3rd was the famous photo. This could have been taken the day before and the date changed.
Wasn’t the O’Brien daughter supposedly ill on 3rd? Maybe SHE did not go to the creche in the morning, but maybe she did - as M. Lots of kids arriving at the same time, quick head count, temporary staff with holiday jobs etc. etc. Simple really.
The focus on the very narrow timeline is a big mistake and as Will points out the art of the magician is to get people to look in the wrong place at the right time!

I don’t know what interpretation to put on “This will be the test” other than - thinking the worst - ‘the final test is if this body is ever found’ which whoever disposed of it probably thinks is highly unlikely.

Now that mine’s soil would be very acidic (low pH) and therefore helpful in speeding the decomposition of the body. If they transported soil in the car as well as the body then there should be forensic evidence of soil and maybe even evidence of carpet chemical damage.
But how would they know about the dam and the acid mine?
Does this point to a premeditated euthanasia plot?
Are they really that disgusting?

The fact that they have employed a dodgy (Pinochet vintage) extradition lawyer I’d say confirms they have no intention of returning to Portugal. the excuse will be that the PJ are “framing” them - this has already been drip-fed.
Of course anyone who is innocent would gladly co-operate with PJ and go back to help in any way possible to find missing maddy. ha ha ha ha

apparently there will be a vigil to mark the 6 month anniversary of Madeleine’s disappearance.
Most interesting is that the churches in Rothley will be holding prayers between 9.30 and 9.45 - which begs the question, if the McCanns are saying this is the point at which she was abducted, who did Jane Tanner see at 9.15?

Peter O, I think everyone here has a theory, even if they don’t always reveal it fully. I see what you mean with the “stand in” child, but do you think a child would comply to that? Being called Madeleine and such? I suppose it depends on when you’d think anything actually happened.
I am getting more curious about the Goddard connection (is that his name, can’t remember), if he is indeed a possible link between Murat and the Tapas 9.

The idea of her disappearing the day B4 I do not think is feasable. Why would they leave it so long and too many people definately saw her May 3rd. Although I do not know for sure of course only by what I have heard. The possibility of her not being in bed to start with, and Kate unaware of this could be feasable if she left the appartment before Maddie was supposed to have been put in bed by another person. Who I could not say of course, but it would explain why she saw everything neat and tidy. She may not even know who took her, but Gerry or one of the friends could have taken her. Why I don’t know but neither does any one else know anything.

Huelva already had tons of posters and information about Madeleine around the place so the justification for going was not valid anyway.
I suggested on September 29th on this forum - from information received via esoteric channels which most people on this forum would probably mock so I won’t go into them - that Madeleine’s body would be found in a dam, near a wall in Huelva. I am still trying to find the name of the dam. It could begin with an ‘S’ or an ‘A’.
As a matter of fact there is a dam (as mentioned in Remigius’s post) named the Andevalo Dam on the Portuguese/819

This is largely my theory too, that they deliberately went to Huelva in Spain on 3rd August not the 2nd when they were supposed to go (citing Mr. McC had a stomach bug as the excuse)because they then were able to shake off most of the press pack and only had one photographer with them - for Gerry’s blog purposes, (I think) - and additonally there was a festival in Huelva so most people would be distracted with that, including those they were supposed to have met on 2nd August.
I mentioned on September 29th on this forum that I thought Madeleine’s body would be found near Huelva, in a dam near a wall. The information for this came from esoteric sources which most people on this forum would probably mock so I won’t go into them.
I also gained some other information in the same way - for what it’s worth - the following words and phrases: “swamp”, “shale”, “estuary”, “narrow strip” “earth is damp”; “we’re smart; they’re not as smart”; “This will be the test”; “the road builds up west”; “It’s a hilly route”;”There’s a bridge” and “First again Mel”.
Also, following on from Remigius’s post, there is a dam named the Andevalo Dam on the Portuguese/Spanish border which is composed of acid mine & rock drainage in the environment of Herrerias Mine. This could have provided a perfect place, from the disposers of the body point of view, as the body would be consumed - I guess - within a fairly short space of time - hence, maybe, the challenge “Find the body” and the confidence that there’s nothing to find?
For the record I think - from the same non-physical sources - that Murat is involved in some way, perhaps as an accessory after the fact. I also think, and this is from observation, that the mention of Spain by the McCanns is an expression of a guilty conscience. It’s quite common isn’t it for someone who is desperately trying to hide something to give clues in order that they are found out, I suppose, to end the agony of it all.
The above is an expression of my personal opinion.

Yes, if I allow my mind to wander freely, it’s amazing what comes up. How could I possibly remember about that book that I read when I was about 14 and wanted to believe in God? (Can’t say it convinced me, by the way.)
It is like a contest - I wish it was a contest. The awful thing is that a child is missing. And, even worse, her parents, claiming that she has been abducted, appear to be concerned about what they’re going through but not what she might be going through (although I guess this suggests that they know she’s dead).

There’s nothing far fetched about a little girl being left on her own and rummaging around her parent’s things. In fact, after leaving the toddlers alone, I don’t know how Gerry can be so audacious to rule out all lines of enquiry after it was his and Kate’s neglect that put them in this position.
I don’t believe the kids were sedated. I believe they may have taken “sweets” and Madeleine being the oldest and able to walk about (the twins were confined in cots remember) probably accessed the illegal stash. Any autopsy would reveal the presence of illegal substances and would then be impossible to explain away…hence get rid of dead child. It even explains that Madeleine could have given something like this to the twins - making the scenario even more preposterous. But the amount taken by the twins may have been sufficient to cause drowsiness but not a fatal dose.
Other Tapas members may have been in the same circle of recreational drug use and thus partly implicated.

Abduction Hoax. That has crossed my mind, kept watching CNN for Maddie to appear in the hands of an Iranian since her parents are unusually political.
Haven’t ruled that possibility out. But my bet is that the Portuguese Police have DNA confirming death and are withholding the results, pending a confirmation from another laboratory. If you read closely, they have said they don’t have confirmation. hmmmm…. bye for now.

I don’t think that is what she meant. She meant referencing past behaviors, like if Kate’s grandmother died, did she react this same way? So with your mother passing on (sorry, btw), that would be a behavior others could look on if you ever experienced another close death in the future. Now, if you went on a shopping spree, etc. that would be a change in behavior, but I suppose even that could be due to a number of things.
I know people say that the jogging, etc. was a return to normalcy which is a good thing after such a shock, but I’d like to know who advised them to do such things? As I wouldn’t pressure a friend, right away, to go back to normal. There is the possibility that no one gave them such advice at the time and it was their way of working through. But if I went through a shock and my friend told me within hours to return to normalcy, I’d probably kick them out (I realize normalcy was more important because of the twins, but the parents still needed time to cope and we were told the twins didn’t really understand what was happening or have it explained to them).
