Why would the police publish the questions and allow the McCanns and their friends to prepare answers? Why only – or as many as - 14 questions? Unless these are questions made up by the media, questions the police are “expected” to ask…
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE – POLICE WANT ANSWERS TO 14 QUESTIONS. What detectives demand to know”

DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE MUM FINALLY CRACKS – Suspect Kate sobs on TV as she is quizzed”
Pages 8 and 9: “MADDIE’S MUM TV BREAKDOWN – Torment as Kate’s sobs halt interview four times”. Spanish TV journalist Roberto Arce sees Kate “prostrate with pain”
The McCanns hotline number is 00 34 902 300 213

Says Mrs McCann: “Somebody knows something. It is not about us. It is about Madeleine.” Is it? We are watching the parents
Gerry McCanns is a “consultant cardiologist”. He says: “We have not been charged with anything”
“Will they find her in Spain?” – Gerry McCann tells El Mundo newspaper (Spain): “The possibility that Madeleine is alive and in Spain is real…If someone had a car, it is clear they could cross into Spain. There is no border guard and no one closed the border the night Madeleine disappeared.” And we look again at the police
THE TIMES page 3: “Sobbing Kate McCann insists that Madeleine is alive and being held”

Well f**k me! Mr. Egghead is now the man in brown.
I really can not believe what is going on, how much more sh*t are they going to put out. I’m beginning to think the whole think is one big wind up. Help me, I now got a nervous twitch!

I need some advice - anonymous-sly -
I need to make two people disappear, I mean REALLY disappear, but I need to make it look like an abduction or a kidnap.
Problem is they can only be found with two types of people: telly people and newspaper people.
They keep appearing on the telly, they live with people who keep appearing on the telly, they only speak to people who appear on the telly, they only talk to people who write stories, people they know talk to people who write stories, people who write stories only talk to people they know.
How to make people disappear………

“That sketch surely qualifies a 15-25% of the men here as possible suspects.”
Well that is a silly comment, as you’d have to be in the location and I suppose sketches always cover a great number of people (in similarities). But there isn’t even a face..it just appears to me that the dangling legs and this man has been released to spark emotions and not jog someone’s memory.

so now she wasnt wrapped in blanket as she first told us,just happened to be in madelines pjs,and she didnt even go back to tapas bar and say..that was strange just saw a man carrying a little girl that looked just like madeline and you wont believe this even had the same pjs,oh could you pass the wine please

Now forgive me if I am wrong - but I thought the McScamliers were not supposed to be talking about the case? Now they have FBI-Picasso’s to go with their own forensic analysis.
It just gets better and better. Keep going you guys. You are really building up your credibility!!! That Clarence is a gem.

yep freezer is a suggestion of mine weeks ago. I was thinking along the lines of burial to speed up decomposition and reduce forensic evidence in case floating (thawing out) body found too soon

JC: “To ensure accuracy, where Jane Tanner could not be certain, the artist left details blank.”
I thought she wasn’t certain it was a child he was carrying? So why the child? I understood that she may have seen the colors of her pajamas, but not dangling feet surely? That sketch surely qualifies a 15-25% of the men here as possible suspects.
I suppose it may help jog someone’s memory, someone who was there that night and saw a man walking off with a child and now only thinks to come forward.

“They would need to remove the soil that surrounded the body as it could contain dna (body fluids/smell of death )if the burial site was found…
Remember they had the forensics reference book for light holiday reading…”
———————–
But who’s to say it was buried in soil? It could have been hidden, as suggested, in a fridge, or in the church vaults or somewhere else that didn’t require burial in soil and then taken to the dam and just tipped over the wall into it.

I’m not quite to post 400 yet (and may not get to the end today) but had to put my two cents in on the Spanish TV interview with Kate and Gerry, as I’ve now watched it twice, including the full 13.18 minute interview on Sky News. Not once did I see Kate ’sob’ or ‘weep’ or even ‘cry’–what a load of manure that the press reports it as such. There was one minute when her eyes got wet and she sniffled just a tiny bit, like she had allergies (or could have been faking it). Journalists need to get out their dictionaries. When I read that someone is sobbing, I expect it to mean:
1. to weep with a convulsive catching of the breath.
2. to make a sound resembling this.
–verb (used with object) 3. to utter with sobs.
4. to put, send, etc., by sobbing or with sobs: to sob oneself to sleep.
–noun 5. the act of sobbing; a convulsive catching of the breath in weeping.
6. any sound suggesting this.
Here’s the definition of weeping:
. to express grief, sorrow, or any overpowering emotion by shedding tears; shed tears; cry: to weep for joy; to weep with rage.
2. to let fall drops of water or other liquid; drip; leak: The old water tank was weeping at the seams.
3. to exude water or liquid, as soil, a rock, a plant stem, or a sore.
–verb (used with object) 4. to weep for (someone or something); mourn with tears or other expression of sorrow: He wept his dead brother.
5. to shed (tears); pour forth in weeping: to weep tears of gratitude.
6. to let fall or give forth in drops: trees weeping an odorous gum.
7. to pass, bring, put, etc., to or into a specified condition with the shedding of tears (usually fol. by away, out, etc.): to weep one’s eyes out; to weep oneself to sleep.
–noun 8. weeping, or a fit of weeping.
9. the exudation of water or liquid.
Even the definitions of crying don’t suit this instance: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/crying
The most accurate description of her expressed emotion was that she briefly teared up and even that is almost an exaggeration.
I guarantee you, that I could pull off the same performance (maybe more believable) as a demonstration that it is very likely she could be acting.
In the future, any time someone tells me Kate was ‘grief stricken’ or was ’sobbing,’ I will not believe it because of the false claims that have been made and not once proven.
The McCanns make me ill and yet I still can’t pull myself away from this story. I hate lying liars, and so much want to see them proven to be guilty if they are indeed guilty.
btw, thanks for the handy ‘10 McManndments’ or ‘The Official Clarriefications’ lists. I’ve made a copy for reference.

great point and good eveninbg…
I looked it up:
“Cocaine Effects
Cocaine effects are extremely detrimental on the body and the consequences related to cocaine effects can eventually lead to permanent damage, addiction and death. While each person who uses this drug reacts to it differently, there are two distinct categories of cocaine effects: short-term effects and long-term effects. Even if a person has only used cocaine once, he/she can experience short-term cocaine effects. Long-term cocaine effects appear after increased periods of use and are dependent upon the duration of time and amount of cocaine that has been consumed.
Short-term cocaine effects are noticeable immediately and although they are not always damaging, in some cases they have caused serious bodily damage and death. Deaths related to cocaine effects are often a result of cardiac arrest or seizures and respiratory failure. * Some of the short-term cocaine effects first time users experience includes increased energy, decreased appetite, and increased heart rate and blood pressure.
Short-term cocaine effects include:
Increased blood pressure
Constricted blood vessels
Dilated pupils
Mental alertness
Increased energy
Increased heart rate
Decreased appetite
Increased temperature
People who try cocaine often get hooked to the short-term cocaine effects, namely feeling as though they have increased energy. The quick high keeps users feeling energetic and able to endure longer in physical activities. New cocaine users often try cocaine to increase productivity at work and in other areas of their lives so that they can work longer and harder. While these results may seem promising in the beginning, increased tolerance and dangerous life choices often follow repeated cocaine use.
One cocaine effect, appetite suppression, is very popular for people looking to lose weight or maintain a low weight. Fashion models have been known to use cocaine in order to stay thin. Cocaine users often go days without eating and if this behavior is continued it can lead to addiction. Increased heart rate, blood pressure, constricted blood vessels, dilated pupils, and increased temperature are all short-term physiological cocaine effects. When taken in large quantities, cocaine will intensify the user’s high and may cause violent and erratic behavior on the part of the user.
Long-tem cocaine effects are noticeable as cocaine abuse continues and tolerance builds. Since cocaine is a highly addictive drug, it can lead to major medical complications and health problems. Some of the these complications include heart disease, heart attacks, respiratory failure, strokes, seizures, and gastrointestinal problems. Other physical symptoms include convulsions, nausea, blurred vision, chest pain, fever, muscle spasms, and coma.
As the habit of using cocaine becomes increasingly important, behavior such as lying, cheating, stealing, absenteeism at work and denying the use of cocaine, is an evident side effect. While these behaviors are not directly related to the use of cocaine, these cocaine effects are often present due to the lifestyle of the addict.
Other long-term cocaine effects include:
Addiction
Paranoia
Irritability
Restlessness
Auditory hallucinations
Mood disturbances
With continued use, many cocaine addicts develop a higher tolerance for the drug over time. Addicts are also said to “chase the high”; meaning they continue to use cocaine seeking the feeling they felt the first time they used it. For people addicted to cocaine and cocaine effects, this high will never again be felt in the same way, and this addiction can lead to insanity and death.”
So we have increased energy (lots of jogging required), decreased appetite (skinny bag of bones), violent and erratic behavior, lying, cheating, stealing, absenteeism at work, Paranoia
Irritability, Restlessness, Mood disturbances, insanity.
Well that covers both of them quite nicely…

I think some people yesterday were being driven insane trying to remember where they’d read about Gerry not actually seeing Madeleine on his check.
Here’s one quote:
‘SOL’ 11TH AUG:
“That gate, which accesses a small patio, and according to Maddie’s father, was used by him and Matthew Oldfield to check on the children. In that moment, the girl’s father noticed that the door to the children’s room was more open and that there was more light than usual. Yet, he thought that Maddie, disturbed by her siblings’ crying, would have gone into her parents’ room, leaving the door open. But he did not check whether his daughter was there.”
This would then have put Matthew Oldfield in the frame as the last person to have seen Madeleine alive as he checked AFTER Gerry. But then, lo and behold, Matthew conveniently changed his story too. He then said he didn’t actually see Madeleine as he didn’t go into the bedroom, just listened at the door, but he was aware that there was more light in the room, as if the shutters had been raised.
Lots of people on other forums have been questioning this inconsistency too.

“Anybody on here with some serious drug taking knowledge? (Hint if you register with the site, then log on, then reply, you will appear as anonymous, thus save your blushes if necessary!)
I have half an idea that Dentists are prone to become addicted to Cocaine because it is so readily available to them as anaesthetic. Thus Q1 - would this also apply to anaesthesists?”
First of all, you don’t have to log in! Just change the name to “Anonymous”. And the logging in doesn’t work for everything, the logging in and showing up as “anonymous” is actually a fluke, it is meant to show your username.
For question one, I can answer that anesthesiologist are four times more likely to develop such an abuse problem (With what they’re using) than any other type of medical specialty.

McCanns’ Sketch Of Possible Abductor
Updated: 20:24, Thursday October 25, 2007
Sketches have been released of the man the parents of Madeleine McCann believe abducted their daughter.
They depict a man of southern European or Mediterranean appearance walking with a child in his arms.
It is understood the images were drawn by an FBI-trained forensic artist from the eyewitness account of Jane Tanner.
She was in the group of friends who dined with Gerry and Kate McCann on the evening the little girl disappeared.
She said she spotted the man striding from the area of the McCanns’ apartment but had not realised the relevance of what she saw at the time.
The man is drawn by the artist with greasy, straggly hair, wearing a purple or maroon top and beige chinos.
He is aged about 35 to 40, 5ft 6in (1.7m) tall, and of slim build.
The child, with her legs dangling, is wearing the same pyjamas as Madeleine on the evening of May 3.
To ensure accuracy, where Jane Tanner could not be certain, the artist left details blank.
The release of the images, commissioned by private detectives working for the McCanns, was given the “tacit approval” of Portuguese police, said the McCanns’ spokesman, Clarence Mitchell.
Mr Mitchell said: “This is another important phase of our investigation into Madeleine’s abduction and we hope that this picture will be a very important reminder to anyone who was in the area on that night who may have seen this man.
“We believe that this was Madeleine being carried away by a man from the apartment, so we place great importance on having these pictures produced.
“Anyone who knows this man should contact our confidential phone line immediately.”
The forensic artist who created the images is not being named but she is a world renowned specialist, Mr Mitchell added.

“Most interesting is that the churches in Rothley will be holding prayers between 9.30 and 9.45 - which begs the question, if the McCanns are saying this is the point at which she was abducted, who did Jane Tanner see at 9.15?”
