He was asked to dispose of “two dogs” in black sacks which he incinerated without looking at them.
He told the Sunday Mirror the couple seemed emotionless and did not ask for the ashes, instead insisting they were scattered on local scrub-land.
Mr Hoos said: “I am now haunted by thinking, what if one of the bags contained something more sinister?”
The police who called had claimed they were investigating a strange smell.
But Mr Hoos said: “They then asked me straight away if I knew anything about what happened to Madeleine. I said no, but I immediately thought about that couple.
“Usually the people coming to me are upset and in tears but they weren’t.
“It was also strange how they didn’t ask me for the ashes. And I thought it odd that they spoke such excellent English. It was all just a bit strange.
“They said they had to dispose of two dogs. Afterwards I scattered the ashes. They left quickly when it was done.”

The incinerators were just a couple of metal barrels tipped over on their side with dirt and rock on top. It was and is nothing fancy and didn’t get that hot and the reason the neighbors complained of the stinky burning smells.

I still have problems with the bed being in order and cuddle cat on the shelf if the Mc’s are involved in this kidnapping/cover-up. Why wouldn’t they make the scene more disturbed - like one would expect. Are they that out of touch with reality?

It might well have been two dogs. The incinerators were out of action but he started them up again recently just to cremate the labrador(s) brought by a foreign couple, possibly Polish, it was reported somewhere.

Murat may have hidden Maddie’s body
Robert Murat, a friend of the McCann couple, is the main suspect of having made the body of Madeleine disappear, on May 3. This is the belief of the Portuguese investigators that are connected to the case. But evidence that confirms this theory has not been obtained yet, as 24Horas has discovered with sources close to the investigation.

As the above extract from Post 126 on that link shows this is yet another ‘story’ based on ‘sources close to the investigation’ appearing in 24Horas, a paper which I believe is less concerned with the truth and more with sensationalist headlines.

Bringing up the ridiculous idea of the twins helping…am I completely off the wall to wonder if they were ever questioned? Kate seems to understand them and obviously there are huge comprehension problems, but there have been cases of a two year old being questioned when found with the body of her dead mother (they discovered she actually didn’t see the attack, if anyone else came in the apartment, etc.).
Maybe I’m completely mad to even think of such a thing and I don’t think they saw what happened…it’d be too late now anyway.

1060 — That the McCanns are having this service in an Anglican church is significant. Kate and Gerry McCann, within four weeks of their daughter’s being “abducted” from their hotel room, left their two year old twins in the same hotel and flew to Rome to meet the Pope. As I’ve posted before, I’ve been a practicing Catholic my whole life and thought this trip to see the Pope was an obvious charade, meant to divert peoples’ attention from their role in their daughter’s disappearance. Now the McCanns are holding a service in an Anglican church? I can understand why nominal Catholics would become religious after a loss, but if their religiosity were sincere, they’d be having this service in a Catholic church. It’s not about being anti-Anglican; it’s that any practicing Catholic who had to plan a service like this would hold it in a Catholic Church and, if encouraged to have it in an Anglican church, would simply be puzzled by the suggestion. I think that, after having made nice with the Anglican priest in Portugal, the McCanns are further trying to distance themselves from Catholicism in case the Catholic priest they duped is called to testify against them. (As I’ve written before, I’ve always thought that the idea the McCanns “confessed” to the priest in baloney. They were using the priest for p.r. purposes. The Catholic Church would not expect the priest to keep silent about anything the McCanns told him that was not in the course of confessing.)
The McCanns are frauds, and they underestimate the intelligence of the public. (”We’re going to see the Pope! Doesn’t that mean we’re innocent?”)

I was looking at the links about Robert Murat and found one I’d missed earlier when I wasn’t following the case. What a coincidence. I challenge anyone to work out what is going on.
That church in PDL seems very odd.
“And in a second local link to the biggest news story of the year, it has been revealed that until Easter, Father John Wilson, of Wells, was priest at the church at Praia da Luz which has been visited daily by the McCann family since little Maddie was snatched.”
