Observer, I think they ate at another MW resort restaurant, called The Millennium I think? That was for the first two nights, and now I don’t know how far away it is. And after that they ate at tha Tapas bar (after an arrangement with the manager, I think). I’m not sure about that information though, so you’d be better to compare it with what papers you can find or even more knowledgeable contributors on this site you can find (but it is always good to try to check the information and see if it comes from someplace you think is genuine/respectable).

Stig I never said I believed they intravenously drugged their children I simply put it out there as an option to icky tasting syrups.
I already offered my carefully reasoned argument on what may have happened that tragic evening. I don’t know the exact post number but I think it’s around 1500.
Stig I also don’t believe Stevo’s theory that the photo was doctored or Tony Bennett’s that O’Brien’s child was brought to the creche as a Madeleine substitute nor do I believe Ian’s that they were swingers or a paedo ring.

1609 — Please stay on the case, Spudgun. I keep emailing your youtube Madeleine video to people. I’m a tad more optimistic than you are. I think the PJ are, within three months, going to roll with whatever they have. I think they’ll figure it’s worth it to charge the McCanns even if the DNA is questionable because Kate may crack before it goes to trial. Please keep the pressure on.

I’ve read that they dined at a restaurant in the town outside of the MW complex on at least one night previous to May 3rd. The children were again left alone then too.

Weeding the garden and the rain came so I fed the chickens on the way back to my computer. We have 20 odd hens and 8 chicks a few weeks old. The mother hen watched over the chicks, pushed away other hens while the little ones grabbed what they could and broke up the pellets and dropped them for her babies. Two chicks wandered off around a corner out of sight of the mother who at once clucked in distress and along with the remaining chicks rushed off to find them, pecking a few other hens on the way. When reunited she fluffed her self up while facing the other hens in a show of protection towards her family. Wonderful to watch.
Anyway…..off the top of my head, there are a few questionable points some that should be so easy to clear up, they would not solve the case but would help with all our amateur sleuthing.
Did Kate really come into contact with 5 or 6 dead bodies in the few days before the fateful holiday? Surely it’s just simple to check with her employers.
Was the shutter forced open? If not why say so. Was the door locked? If not why say so.
Did the McCanns know Murat before the incident? “No comment” was a strange thing to say.
If yes had they visited the Murat household?
Whats Murats mums slant on the affair?
Did they mix with Murat, his girlfriend and her ex? (I read they all lived together, draw your own conclusions on that one).
Did they have access to a unoccupied villa? Murat it seems is in real estate.
How religeous were the McCanns before the holiday? Anyone asked the local church in England?
Why lie so many times on factual things that could be easily checked ? e.g. distance to Tapas bar. Window forced.
Was the milage on the car checked? For both times it was hired. The hire company must have kept records. As it was said it was not used that much, the milage should have been quite east to explain away.
What about the other couple in Exeter, who knew Murat and lived close to some of the Tapas 9? Who coincedently hired the very same car as the McCanns? Did they know the McCanns?
Why the hell did Richard Branson get involved? I hope he offers to help the other unfortunate cases that have happened to Brits on holiday?
The Jehova Witness connection? The Brian Kennedys?
How much had they really drunk that night? 14 bottles in 2 hours seems rather excessive?
Does the Tapas bar serve dinners? It’s claimed they were there to eat as well as to play trivia.
Why visit a dump 30kms away when there are bins locally that the locals use?
How was the priest deceived?
Why hasn’t Gerry sued the Portugese paper yet over their slur on his not being the genetical father? They basically said come and get us.
What football team does Gerry support? Tonight I’m thinking it’s Spu*s. (a joke from a Gooner, sorry)
Why have a hotline that you have to pay for to use? In reality the number of calls would be minimal and the cost could easily be absorbed by the fund.
Shit, I could go on.Lol. I take back my opening sentence for ‘a few questionable points’ replace with a’ myriad of questionable points’ . lol.
I think that even though we are analysing their facial reactions, clothes, body language, photos et al to come to our conclusions, if we had not seen them but just had written transcripts of the main players comments, they would still look as guilty as hell to me.
It is better than fiction innit.
And I must say that I laughed out loud (lol) when the latest photofit was released. Although the man does look a little like the first sketch that was done. I think I laughed then too.

Stig the foolish person imho is you. I don’t live in a dream world where middle class allegedly erudite people are perfect - especially doctors - and working class are carless with their children due to substance abuse problems. The fact is that middle class people are more prone to drug and alcohol problems than working class. Similarly, according to occupation, doctors and dentists have high rates of alcoholsim and drug dependency. Their revered status and due to those who worship them and believe them to be beyond reproach like you and the other Anorak McCann apologists permit these individuals to carry on in their drug/alcohol addled state for far longer than would normally be the case for a person who was addicted but did not have the cache which being a doctor affords. I think this is probably why Shipley literally got away with murder for so long.

Gerry McCann looks like a very dark horse to me - there’s something about him that just isn’t right. The body language coaching seemed to work though in the interview, except that he desperately tried not to move a muscle, which made him look even more of a liar.
Gerry is obviously a very clever man, but if he thinks he’s cleverer than forensic science, he’s deluding himself.

Ahh, okay Thea. I know they get some vaccinations and such around that age, not sure about how many. But I’m really not sure about the sedation claims and counterclaims. I understand Stig’s point of view, as I say, I just don’t agree with the fact that because they are doctors they couldn’t have possibly done or mess up on x, and I don’t agree with the fact that they look a certain way means x, y, or z (because it could be due to anti-depressants or something).

It wasn’t Madeleine’s parents that saw the man. The ‘witness’ who saw him, was a friend and apparently it didn’t occur to her that anything was amiss (as the alarm wasn’t raised at that point). I don’t think she really saw dangling legs though, if she did, this is the first I’ve heard of it (which is possible). I’m skeptical of Jane Turner and her partner though.

Sadly, I’ve had first hand experience with not one but two narcissistic sociopaths and I suspect the McCanns are just that.
Their interview was all about themselves…”I feel sad”, “I feel lonely”, “I feel anxious’, “I do/don’t think”, and then the very telling “Our life is not AS happy without Madeleine…” Good grief, their life shouldn’t be happy at all!!! And who cares if they’re happy, if it’s all about Maddy?
And as someone else noticed, no thought at all of expressing thanks to the many, many people who’ve helped them…
The narcissists I knew were very charming, charismatic and popular, so I’m not surprised many people would say good things about them. And lying was absolutely second nature…as easy and natural as breathing. That’s why it’s so convincing.
But make no mistake, they were lying, manipulative, evil people with no empathy, remorse or souls. Great frauds that fooled most people around them. Once I ran into the 2 I’ve dealt with, I see right through them, and there are alot of them.
