1656. Wanderer I did in a previous message speak about all the McCann apologists. I believe Stig went over the line with his “next time you’re seriously ill” comment in a pathetic attempt to trash my comments whilst trying to make himself look smart.
There is no reason why doctors should be held up in such high esteem as they are. I think Stig is either a doctor or knows personally the clever way in which intelligent drug/alcohol addicted persons can fool masses of people for a very long time.
I live in a complex world and if I ever did get ill and needed to see a doctor how the hell would that make me a hyporcrit as Stig has written. We do the best we can in this world. I went to university and had some really awful professors and some really great ones - I took the good with the bad. If I get sick and end up with a doctor who is addicted to pain killers or scotch it would be the luck of the draw. Just as Medeleine was unlucky to get such narcissistic careless parents.
Stig’s inability to see different possibilities in this case and his reverence of doctors is disturbing. His replies to me lead me to believe one thing and one thing only: He’s a prick. If he is a doctor or a drug addict or alcholic I don’t know for sure but it wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

I never read any reports that when they were out with their friends, as they were on each previous night to May 3rd, that they were with their friends and their children. The article I read was that they were without the kids and when the MW staff discovered that they had been leaving their children unsupervised tried to convince them to use their sitting services because they were concerned for the Mcs and Tapas 7’s children’s safety.
I think it’s possible they supped with their children in the late afternoon or early evening and then later went out to dine with their friends sans the children.

In fairness to Stig, others do that as well. Pros and Antis and the people in between. I think a lot of it stems from people having to work on their computers, and always sorta being here and engaging whenever they feel like it (most of the people that are here at a range of hours aren’t fully active for all of those hours). Although, I think most would admit it is a bit addictive.

Answer:
They ate at a restaurant further way the first 2 nights, called the Millenium. A hostess there remembers Madeleine was a helpful and sweet little girl helping her parents with finding highchairs for her siblings. But supposedly all the children were fractious toward the end of the evening. So … that’s when the group switched to the Tapas/poolside table routine, and began leaving their children to fend for themselves for 3 hours a night. All this according to the waiter and hostess, who are partners at the two different places, who gave interviews for the Daily.

trying to explore if the kids were left unsupervised for longish periods and were making a noise.
one of the 5c neighbors claimed she heard crying on one or more occasions and then supposedly retracted her comments.
if the kids were making a noise it is not likely they were sedated at that stage.

Stig this is a very strange way to debate my stance based on various substantiated facts from different countries of alcoholism and drug addiction within the hallowed ranks of their countries’ doctors.
If you must know, and I feel you must, I have never been seriously ill so there wouldn’t be a “next time” but a first time event for me. If I ever do become “seriously ill” I hope that I will still have my wits about me to know a good doctor from a bad one. If not I think my family will come to my rescue. There are several cardiologists in my own family none to my knowlege are addicted to anything other than the love for their families, art and sports. But then again they are not living in the alcohol haze of the British culture.
