In fact I said as much in this forum some weeks ago, that some organisation or other is getting back at them for something; that would explain their being sure that the child is OK and will be returned, also would explain(if true), Cuddle Cat being placed on a ledge….message to the parents. Someone here asked when was I writing the book LOL

698 — I agree with you that there will be a stink if the McCanns will fight extradition, but that they will fight extradition. From a legal perspective, fighting would be the smart thing to do because they are guilty. If you were really innocent, even if the police said they had video tapes of you murdering someone, you’d say, “Bring it on.” But because there is evidence against the McCanns, the smart thing to do would be to stall. Genuine popularity among the public is no longer a possibility and, even if it were, that popularity would not prevent them from being found guilty. I think Soothsayer is right, that this will be a long process.

Trismegistus. Thanks. I knew what he saying though, I was trying to discourage that awful Weegie comedy routine.
Anyway I didn’t say Gerry was secular, I just mentioned that there was a non-denominational vigil (which means inter-faith group, not secular), so he clearly has non-Catholic friends, therefore this obsession with his religious background on the part of some of my fellow Scots is either unfair or paranoid.

This is what I think happened that night based upon the kidnapping didn’t appear staged, if anything it was a staged anti-kidnapping.
If Gerry and Kate staged anything, why did it look as if a kidnapping did not occur? Jerry and Kate would have left the bed unmade and rumpled; Cuddle Cat would have been on the floor or in the hallway. Perhaps even evidence of the place being ransacked, because if it is a phony kidnapping, then G & K would want the place to look different to support their theory.
But not what we have here where Cuddle Cat Placed is high on a shelf, the bed almost made, covers not wrinkled, and hardly any evidence of a “proper quick” kidnapping.
From eye witnesses we have: A woman seen outside, a man carrying a child in a blanket (where did the blanket come from?)(the child was probably Maddie) and some scent evidence going to the market.
I propose the following: A man, probably quite educated and sophisticated working with a maid (or former maid) at the resort kidnapped Maddie. The maid if caught in the room had an excuse, oh I was bringing towels etc…..she would have easy access to extra blankets that would not be missing. And her behavior would be easily explained.
The maid first checked the room, had keys, making entrance no problem, and then gave the signal for the man to come in and carry Maddie off. All this was done quickly and Maddie may have been given some type of inhaled knock-out medicine to breathe. The man tells the woman to go back and straighten the room. Make sure we left no evidence. The woman smooth’s the bed, places Cuddle Cat on a shelf, and closes windows if any are open etc etc. like a maid would do.
So Kate sees an almost perfect room and no Madeleine and not much for the police. All are puzzled.

I don’t know many kids that call a cuddly toy by a generic brand name on the tag. My kids and others I know had their own pet names for a cuddly toy unless it was an obvious character toy like a Disney character etc.

Sorry, I’m jumping in late here and I have scanned the posts, but has it been confirmed that Mitchell didn’t even want them to go through with this interview? Because he knew ahead of time that they wouldn’t give up on some questions they wanted to ask?
Did he not warn Gerry? (as Gerry became upset yet again, which is understandable if he is guilty or not, but with a head’s up and the typical control of emotions, it doesn’t seem like this would be a great feat)
And the warning at the end of the interview, surely they’d be advised of such things before hand? (they’ve been waiting to do this for quite sometime)
Also, I know the press like to spin things but the majority of the UK press is behind the McCanns, what could Kate possibly say? Plea for Madeleine? Or is it Gerry that doesn’t want them to show emotion?

if you were going to take a sleeping child who had cuddle toy in her arms ,last thing you do is take it away put it on a shelf,when my kids are asleep with whatever in arms just carry them to bed,usally from restuarant where they had enjoyed good night with me wife and friends

I think Clarence is used to have other people doing the actual planning and talking work, not he himself. He certainly is not very brainy in that he has almost no foresight. Thus he can not see what will happen when you do a certain thing. He also is not good in judging how people will react to something his team does. I would certainly not want him for a pr consultant for my business.

At one stage g says out of the blue “they wouldn’t harm her” k as if on cue(I get the feeling that’s what it is, prompting)says words to the effect that “they wouldn’t harm her because she’s such a beautiful child”. Do abductors only turn nasty on less beautiful children?
Why is g so angry?? the reporter is at all times polite and the questions not unreasonable(He’d been warned) I feel he’s angry because he expected we’d all be believing every word of his and can’t stand being challenged

819 Remigius, nah, they (Gerry) had her body disposed of - probably O’Brien and Murat.
Kate was there ‘when we realised she was gone’ (staggered down the stairs probably - Gerry reacts oddly in the latest video (something like ‘Its absolutely not being suggested that we in any way drugged Madeleine…errr the children’, ) but wasnt there when ‘they took her’ (’we were in no way involved in Madeleines abduction’ and of course thre is no way that they can be linked to the DNA in the car, as someone else drove it with her in the back.

I hate to spoil your fun, but what occurred is very unlikely to be viewed as neglect under either Portuguese or British law, so you probably have only a faint chance of having your ‘urges’ satisfied.

What can keep a group of 9-10 persons together - escluding strange sexual behaviour - it must be an illegal interest. But this would be happened before the 3thrd of May. After the 3thrd they spring only on the running train and set up the fund etc. But there must been before a high level of criminal power to have a similar idea to create a fund for own interests and not to search your little girl.
This consideration about the criminal power (and the eyes of Mr Mccann in the interview) brought me to the idea that T9 or parts could be involved just before in some strange things, otherwise I cannot explain the mutual backing. It could be drug trafficking, money laundering…..
It wouldn’t be the first time that high-level professionals are involved in lucrative criminal business. You know mortgages are high…
