yes, I think there is a PJ… so he could be a PJ, a friend of Murat or someone like that but if so what’s he doing in the McCann photo and where did that McCann photo come from? I saw the photos on that Pamalam website but just dicounted it as I thought I must just have missed the publicity about it. If no one has ID’d him then why hasn’t there been publicity about it? Just wondering, it looks very odd

If we stop trying to fit our ‘theories’ into a few short hours or indeed minutes on May 3rd, then a whole myriad of potential theories emerge. (Hours if you believe/assume something happened between lunchtime and 10.00 PM, minutes if you believe/assume something happened between 9.05 PM (Assuming Gerry DID see Madeleine at that check) and 10.00 PM.)
I feel that once you consider the possibility of foul play you must also strenuously challenge the time line that the usual arguido’s want you to believe in. While I grant that it’s a highly unlikely proposition, I would want cast iron proof that Madeleine hadn’t in fact gone ‘missing’ some days before 3rd May.

The only evidence in the room of a disturbance is from Kate’s testimony. If she went in the room alone, she could have moved or done anything. The things she described have no way of being independently checked at all.

I did not mean to suggest you did say that. The two posters Jeb and Will were using the words “idiot” and “stupid” to describe me because I take the position that someone making a claim (that the Kennedys are NOT the same person) should take the trouble to definitively back up that claim.
The last sarcastic retort in my post , “feel free to call me stupid” was directed at all posters in general, not you in particular. Sorry to not make that clear. I have yet to find anything you are posting that I disagree with. To you I was merely trying to say that the obligation to back up a claim rests with those who make the claim, NOT with those who do not accept the claim at face value. Several people made the claim that the Kennedys are not the same person, but none of them provided substantiation. And two of them flirted with reviling me because I have pointed this fact out.
In the end, I’m sure it will turn out that the role of the “wealthy magnate” Brian Kennedy was to effect a covert transfer of money from the “search” fund into the “legal” fund.
I would suggest that the “search” fund be examined VERY closely, to see exactly how the money is being disbursed. By the time the McCanns are brought to trial, my bet is there will be NO MONEY at all left in that fund. Apart from living expenses being doled out to Kate & Gerry, the rest will have been disbursed to Brian Kennedy & John McCann, to cover “expenses” incurred in their sham campaigns to “find Madeleine” (still on-going with announcements of new efforts).

I suppose so, Observer. But they haven’t said anything really new, so you’d think it’d be etched in by now. It seemed like more of a control of emotion for me and what one might say when they get emotional, rather than her worrying about confessing to anything on camera. I don’t buy the not showing emotion thing, in order to prevent the kidnapper from getting satisfaction.

CoolandCalm, he may very well be a nice person, but do you think he is handling the PR campaign well (solely the PR as that is what he is the head of, the actual search, etc. shouldn’t be included ). I think he is missing the mark and I don’t know if this is because this is a slightly new role for him in who he is representing or if there is some internal divide among them.

860. A messed up room could be the result of many things, burglary, a child wandering around bored, or a snatch and grab kidnapping.
I thought about the kidnapping theory and tried to put it in context of what we know and how what we know might happen ……….
Now if there was a struggle, and Maddie had to be restrained quickly or “knocked” out, that would be even more of a reason to straighten the room. A lot can be done in a minute or two by an experienced maid.

Sorry to be a pain but did anyone say who that guy in the photo is, the photo of playground and with Murat. Someone said something about the “pool cleaner”? Is that how he was ID’d? If so, why is he in that McCann photo smiling like that and the walking with Murat. I just really haven’t heard about him, so if this was all reported can someone please tell me? I’d be very grateful

At some stage I think there’ll be a chink in the McCann’s armour. It may be when the PJ go over there to supervise the interviews.
Once it happens we may find the dam bursting and others scrambling to alter their stories.

Actually, it was the made bed and that Cuddle Cat was on a high shelf that made the McCanns assert to the police that there was an abduction. An unmade bed or a “dropped” Cuddle Cat would have pointed to her wandering off solely.

I can’t discount your theory because none of us in here really know what happened.
But, you do have to visualise that pool area and the complex in general as being somewhat like Piccadily Circus if all the to-ing and fro-ing is to be believed. A maid at 10pm would be sinister. Maids work in the morning and early afternoon. A maid at that time is quite strange.
As for the risk of being seen, it was immense because all we’ve heard about are the movements of the Tapas 9. What about the movement of the dozens of other people staying at Ocean Club? We tend to forget that this complex had plenty of other holidaymakers and at any stage, a car or pedestrians would be outside.
