Madeleine McCann: Kate McCann Sobs, Gerry McCann Points And 14 Questions
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY MIRROR front page: “KATE’S TORMENT – ‘I think she is being held by someone in their house..as Madeleine’s mummy I feel in my heart she’s out there’”
“Distraught” Kate McCann is on Spanish TV. She is being interviewed. Says she: “I don’t know how anyone could harm anyone as beautiful as Madeleine”
Pages 4 and 5: “TEARS OF KATE – After six months of holding her heartbreak in check..Madeleine’s mum breaks down on TV”
Three pictures of Kate McCann:
“SO EMPTY: Kate tries to explain her loss on TV”
“TOO MUCH: She can’t hold back the tears”
“SOBBING: Kate and Gerry on TV”
“14 questions Portuguese police are flying to Britain to out to the McCanns and friends” – So reports Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas. Why would the police publish the questions and allow the McCanns and their friends to prepare answers? Why only – or as many as - 14 questions? Unless these are questions made up by the media, questions the police are “expected” to ask…
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE – POLICE WANT ANSWERS TO 14 QUESTIONS. What detectives demand to know”
Pages 4 and 5: “Kate breaks down during TV grilling.” Kate and Gerry McCann are on the telly. Says Kate: “I feel sad and I feel lonely and our life is not as happy without Madeleine…we want people to try to reunite us with your beautiful girl”
And: “We know the truth. We know we are totally innocent. That is why we are calm. We know each other”
Says a “British detective”: “The detectives could be giving the suspects enough rope to hang themselves. It is a common tactic in police investigations to let those under suspicion speak on television in case they trip themselves up”
THE SUN front page: “KATE WEEPS FOR MADDIE – I feel in my heart she is out there”
“Distraught” Kate on the telly. Kate and Gerry are publicising a telephone hotline. No, not 999, their own number
Pages 4 and 5: “MADDIE NEEDS US – So lonely without our lovely girl, sobs Kate”
Three pictures of “Precious..the happy Maddie her mum longs to see”
Three pictures of the McCanns:
“Anguish…Gerry faces TV quiz”
“Ordeal…Kate fights back tears”
“Brave…but the McCanns struggle with their emotions as they relive the night Maddie vanished”
The hotline. Says Kate McCann: “We want to appeal to the people of Spain, Portugal and North Africa to help us and to tell them we have a new central phone number for them to call”
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE MUM FINALLY CRACKS – Suspect Kate sobs on TV as she is quizzed”
Pages 8 and 9: “MADDIE’S MUM TV BREAKDOWN – Torment as Kate’s sobs halt interview four times”. Spanish TV journalist Roberto Arce sees Kate “prostrate with pain”
The McCanns hotline number is 00 34 902 300 213
DAILY MAIL pages 8 and 9: “I’M SAD AND LONELY…LIFE IS NOT HAPPY”
Says Mrs McCann: “Somebody knows something. It is not about us. It is about Madeleine.” Is it? We are watching the parents
Gerry McCanns is a “consultant cardiologist”. He says: “We have not been charged with anything”
“Will they find her in Spain?” – Gerry McCann tells El Mundo newspaper (Spain): “The possibility that Madeleine is alive and in Spain is real…If someone had a car, it is clear they could cross into Spain. There is no border guard and no one closed the border the night Madeleine disappeared.” And we look again at the police
THE TIMES page 3: “Sobbing Kate McCann insists that Madeleine is alive and being held”
“Days of hope and despair” – The Times looks at some key dates: June 21 (Madeleine in Malta); August 3 (Madeleine in Belgium); August 23 (Madeleine in Morocco)
DAILY TELEGRAPH front page: “’I’M SO SAD AND LONELY’ – KATE McCANN WEEPS FOR MADELEINE ON SPANISH TV”
Page 5: “’Sad, lonely’ Kate weeps for Madeleine in TV interview” – Kate McCann wept “uncontrollably”. Says he:” I feel anxious she is not with us”
THE GUARDIAN page 12: “McCanns set up phone line to seek Madeleine”
THE INDEPENDENT: No Madeleine news today

I didn’t know something was going on with Andrew. (just read back through the posts) Andrew, hope everything went well with your son’s discharge from the hospital and that everything is going well at home if he still needs care (I know I still needed help for about a week after coming home from my last surgery).

This is what was printed in the newspaper about that night and what Gerry saw:
“But over the months since Madeleine’s disappearance he has become increasingly convinced that the intruder was already in the flat.”
“He believes there was certainly something odd,” a friend said today.
“The bedroom door was ajar when he got in and he thought: ’That’s strange’.
“He went into the room, checked that Madeleine was still asleep in bed; she was and as he came out, closed the door.
“Initially he thought that she might have got up and gone to the toilet or gone to get a drink or something but now he thinks that the abductor must have been in there hiding.”
The friend added: “He believes he came in, opened the door and didn’t have time to close it (as he went to hide before Gerry arrived).
“Once Gerry had left he would have known he had to come out very quickly and because Gerry went out through the patio door, went out through the window.

This was my theory weeks ago. I just noticed it in the Portuguese press translations:
“The Judiciaria believes that, while they were having dinner, little Maddie left the apartment looking for her parents and, while still sleepy, fell off the flight of stairs that exist at the apartment’s exit, dying accidentally and ending up being discovered by Gerry McCann, who then asked for Murat’s help.”

Throughout the interview, Katie answered Q’s and spoke of Madeleine with her eyes moving downwards to the left. When she stated that “Maddy is still out there” her eyes went down to the right?
What are the psycological norms this represents? Anybody a BL expert?
Yeah me……………she had something in her eye……….Jeez!

Now I’ve just found -or, more accurately, not found - something that is a bit weird.
The Dutchman with the crematorium is called Eef Hoos. If you Google him, many articles come up talking about how he was interviewed by the police, how there were plain clothes policemen taking photos around his land, etc., etc. But nowhere does it mention the people who took the dogs to be cremated. And I distinctly remember that this was fairly widely reported at the time.
Incidentally, he was apparently first interviewed in July and then reinterviewed in September.

Andrew hasn’t been in here today…if you’re reading this we hope your son’s operation went without hitch yesterday. Best regards Andrew.

63 Hang’em high quotes, from Spanish TV interview:
“I was the last to see her,” he said. “I saw her and thought how beautiful she was and thought how lucky I was to be a father of three children,” he added.”
=======================S
“The last to see her”….so, when would that be then Gerry? Was it at 9.05-pm when you originally said (since mysteriously altered) that you went to the apartment, saw her bed empty, thought she’d wandered off to “our” room, but didn’t bother to check; or would it be before you played tennis that afternoon, which would be after you’d sent one of your ‘friends’ to check on your wife’s ‘disturbed’ state of mind?; or perhaps it was at 7-pm when your ‘friend’ David Payne said he saw Madeleine as she was being put to bed by Kate?…would be nice if you could be more specific..just curious!

This appeal only leads me to believe one thing. (bearing in mind I have tried to see all senarios) Kate wants us to believe Madeleine is still alive (living with a nice man/woman who could never hurt her as she is so beautiful)and to cover for her lack of horror and emotion at the thought of her being abused or dead. Which also leads me back to suspecting that they know what has happened to her. No one can be that …(fill in the blank).

I recall reading that they took two dogs to be cremated, which I thought was odd.

916 Uta Hagen.
You have expressed my thoughts on KM up until the time she revealed that Cuddle Cat accompanied her to work and that he/she assisted her in the deaths of 5 patients - not sure about what type of assistance was provided by Cuddle Cat.
This is a deranged person. Yet she is human, she loves her twins, and I totally agree with you that she needs help and that her husband is failing to meet her needs.

I think Gerry thought Father Christmas had come early when Murat was taken in as suspect #1. He ended up being the perfect foil and distraction in those crucial 25 days after May 3.

I was going to say “she’s lovely” but in this site it would have an entirely different meaning!

930, Ian,
Why would anyone want Murat to be accused of something he didn’t do?

mods and admin
Several of us have complained today of our messages not being posted despite nothing untoward in them. In my case it was only when I had another poster’s name in the message. Any ideas why the message wasn’t being accepted?

That could work, Stevo. Not because of the McCanns though, but I imagine the moderators, etc. do probably get tired of having to search through 1500 posts (even if it is just an ‘Edit-Find’ search).

I didn’t think you were directing your comments my way but I was just trying to say I think the two Brian Kennedy’s thing is typical of anything to do with the McCanns i.e. it has suspicion written all over it. Thanks for the support - I find your postings well thought out too.
I wondered where the tycoon Kennedy popped up from and why he chose to be so benevolent. There’s hundreds of millionaires out there but it seems like the McCanns have never been short of attracting them. That’s an interesting side topic in itself. If you were a multi-millionaire why chose the McCanns? I mean, they’re shrouded in controversy and it would be a lot easier to finance another missing child…or why not offer a reward for the name of Rhys’ killer?
Too many things don’t add up at all in this case.

steady on you two, no flirting on here.

I keep thinking of that Dutch man in Monchique (sp?) with a criminal record who was banned from operating his pet crematorium after complaints from locals.
He re-ignited it during the summer, residents didn’t like the smell and called the police. All he could remember was that a couple, (he thought they were Polish), had brought a dead black labrador for cremation in a plastic bag. He checked inside the bag. But labradors are big dogs and very heavy. I know this because I once had to dispose of a dead fox and that was heavy enough. It would be a very good way of disposing of a child’s body. The Dutch man said he was haunted by the thought of what he might have cremated. Can anyone find the link?

I think the British press has serious problems with translation and that is why it seems they are inventing stories. The Portuguese press is closer to the story and is therefore a more reliable source, in my estimation.

I saw the photos of David Marcellus Payne and this story on Brian Ladd’s site a while ago and he is not the same guy as the one with the bag in the photo watching Madeleine, Sean, the Payne’s daughter and Gerry

I see you BIN making similar claims earlier today. I don’t think anyone can RUBBISH your theories CAN they? In fact, anyone doing that would be WASTING their time. I’d REFUSE to alter your opinions if I were you.
