Madeleine McCann: Jane Tanner’s eFit, A Spanish Angel And Wearing Pink Pyjamas
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE – 70% DON’T BELIEVE McCANNS”
The McCanns are on the TV in Spain. The show is followed by a phone vote. The people vote, at least some of them do; how many, we are not told. One, two, three..? Gerry is a “cardiologist”
Pages 4 and 5: “Police: Parents are hampering probe.” Angel Galan, head of the Spanish National Police’s kidnap, extortion and murder squad says: “There is no real information to indicate that Madeleine could be in Spain although Mr and Mrs McCann might think so. I think the question is why couldn’t she be in France or in the UK? Why does it have to be Spain, Portugal or Morocco?”
“Drawing that could catch her abductor” – an artist’s impression of a man carrying a child in the vicinity of the McCanns holiday complex on May 3. The man is of average height, of average build, with dark hair and with his facial features not filled in. Do you know him?
The artist was commissioned by the McCanns in light of a person their friend Jane Tanner said she saw on the night Madeleine disappeared
THE SUN front page: “PICTURE SENSATION. He took Maddie – MAN SEEN BY McCANNS’ PAL ON FATEFUL NIGHT”
A drawing of a man. The caption: “Hunted…a drawing of man with child in his arms as seen by Jane Tanner”
Page 13: “MADDIE IN ARMS OF SNATCHER. Pyjamas ‘prove it is her’” – The man is 5ft 6. He is 5ft 10 in the Express. He is “slim”. The girl is wearing pink and white pyjamas. The man is in a maroon shirt, camel coloured trousers and black or brown shoes
Says Clarence Mitchell: “We hope this will go a long was to proving the independent eyewitness account that she was taken by someone and the police’s focus on Kate and Gerry as potential suspects is wrong”. See drawing of a man seen by McCanns’ friend
And: “We believe it does show Madeleine in his arms. The description of the pyjamas is accurate enough to believe that is the case.” The McCanns’ friend sees the girl wearing pyjamas like those worn by Madeleine, whom she knows
“GERRY BACK AT WORK” – Gerry McCann is a “cardiologist” – lest we ever forget
DAILY MIRROR front page: “This is the man who took our Madeleine. PARENTS RELEASE SKETCH”
Page 11: “’He was slim with untidy black hair, plastered back. He was hurrying with a child in pink pyjajmaas’” (No songs please)
“’KIDNAPPER’ SEEN BY KATE’S PAL”
Paul Routledge: “All I want to do is put my arms around her and say: ‘there, there’ while she sobs out her grief on my shoulder”
DAILY MAIL front page: “Friends’ fears for ‘increasingly fragile’ Kate”
Pages 8 and 9: “Is Kate at breaking point?” – If she cracks up will the papers like her better? “Friends fear for Maddie’s mother after TV ordeal”
“SPANISH EYES” – The McCanns have launched a private “proxy investigation” in Spain. Under Portuguese law it is illegal to use private detectives while an investigation is ongoing
The mystery man who may have taken her” – Mrs Tanner sees the man. She is later “racked with guilt”
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE PARENTS ‘HIDING TRUTH’ – 70 per cent of TV viewers thinks McCanns are lying”
Pages 4 and 5: “BODY LANGUAGE SPECIALIST GIVES HIS VERDICT ON KATE – ‘MUM WOULD BE VERY GOOD POKER PLAYER’.” Robert Phipps watches the interview with Kate McCann on Spanish TV. She is frowning, and expert Phipps says this is indicative of “pain” and stress. Who knew? We do not know if he then voted in the subsequent poll
THE TIMES front page: “Madeleine ‘abductor’” – The white man is of “medium build”
Page 9: “’This is the man who took Madeleine away’” – The Times says the new picture bears “no resemblance to Robert Murat”. The picture has been handed to the McCanns’ detectives who are operating across Europe and North Africa
DAILY TELEGRAPH front page: “Madeleine ‘abductor’” – This is the man Jane Tanner says she saw at 9:15pm on May 3

Definately responsible. Who would leave small children alone without thinking about the dangers? THis is something I cannot relate to.

So you agree that no matter what happened to Maddy that night her parents were responsible (either directly or indirectly)?
October 26th, 2007 at 10:05 pm
I think it is a far stretch to believe the friends helped in Maddie’s disappearance. Not only that, but I believe that if they knew anything, they would tell it to help “clear” any tacit implications, especially down the line.
People do care about their own best interests and there is no friendship worth ruining one’s life over.

this is one of the reasons i just can’t take them or their ludicrous abduction theories seriously.

Criminal Doctors?
In the U.S. we have doctors who walk on the dark side. Unscrupulous prescriptions, addicts, those who invest in illegal activities regarding medicine, fake licenses, outlawed operations, fertility clinic shenanigans, insurance fraud. Once in a blue moon, yes, doctors will even kill–usually their wives. Who knows, maybe even a patient they never liked.
But if the McCanns are guilty, they take the cake.
A faked abduction? Drug accident, or rage killing. Maybe a murder … of course, that’s probably the last thing you’d expect.
I haven’t decided 100% either way, but am leading towards PJ being on the right track, whatever that may be. Looks like they have some excellent witnessness from the staff at MW, and are not just going on DNA.
The Daily News poll says they are trusted about 50/50 to have shed real tears. They looked both very angry to me.

Will I don’t appologise for the McCanns. If Madeleine hadn’t been kidnapped, she could have drowned in a swimming pool after walking to find her mother, or woken up frightened by a nightmare. I don’t agree with these things and would not be able to manage if I treated my own child this way.
but sometimes it is good to look at things from all angles and then decide.

brianthesnail,
You were right. None of the McCann supporters answered my simple question.

This report states that the man was moving in a southerly direction ie past the alley therefore she would likely have seen him head on as she was moving in the opposite direction.

I am having serious doubts as to your competence Pat Brown,it is a matter of record that Amaral wanted to charge Kate, the prosecutor said he felt that without the body the guilty would escape justice. So do you say the McCs are or may be nutters and do you think the twins are safe with them, after all you said Kate may have a kill your own children syndrome. So I ask you a direct question are the twins safe with them, they are the prime suspects the PJ have evidence, but the prosecutor says not enough without the body, all checkable from official sources,so safe or not,or are you happy for them to be at risk, for according to your summary they most certainly are.

Could you please give me link to where you read they had been released? That seems slightly strange given the extortion charge and the outstanding French warrant and the child that was found.
That a connection wasn’t found, does not mean that there wasn’t one.

What is the conspiracy so far?
The Mc’s are guilty of various unknown and unproven sins from recreational drugs to partner swapping to hurting their children or maybe just Maddie. Those from the Gov. that support them or help them in their quest to prove innocence are in on this “horrible” thingie from sex with children to drug trafficking or something else sinister. All the friends on the holiday are also knee deep in the pooh pooh ……………….and are covering up and creating phony sketches of the perp…….
and this is easy to believe?

that may normally be the case but NOT if your name is mccann and you’ve got mates like gordon lying bastard brown

Lack of humanity is why children like Madeleine are abused. Child abuse goes from generation to generation, and it is estimated that it can be over 20 generations at a time. It is a lack of empathy towards another which creates this situation, a loathing of vulnerability and helplessness which makes up children and a need to exploit and damage this.
Humanity, a regard for the rights and needs of another, is what makes things better. Hitler was not a humanitarian but mother Theresa was.

People while it is obvious everyone has well intentions into their inquiries about SS and are they concerned with the twins’ welfare the answer to this is it doesn’t matter. All these peripheral details have already been taken care of and were a part of the deal the McCanns made with high level officials in the UK (maybe in Portugal too???? Judith C???) and the twins will remain with them without any reprimands from SS.
The Mcs will not be prosecuted and neither will any of the Tapas 7 but it will not be because some of them don’t know the truth about what happened to Madeleine.

Jane “toadface”Tanner is lying.
How can she describe a faceless man and a faceless child while she CAN describe the pyama’s in great detail? That is ludicrous to say the least.
All of this has been cooked up to frame someone for this murder.
Just alert the police to eggman, look close around you for someone to blame during the circus, then blame Murat.

It is well documented on this forum that I woul discharge myself from any (hypothetical) jury relating to this case. Pity you McCann apologists wouldn’t do the same. Too busy pleading the ‘many sides to an argument’ mantra whilst preparing for the aquittal party.
October 26th, 2007 at 9:53 pm
“Humanity” is why innocent children like Madeleine are abused. Whether that abuse was at both her parents and a strangers’ hands I don’t know and may never know but “humanity” is nothing to be prideful about.

Batman, Ute
I am not who you think I am - no website
Here’s a fascinating account not just about Madeleine’s pyjamas (and whether they are missing) but also the mystery of Cuddlecat and the struggle photographed between Kate and Amelie
http://julietpain.blogspot.com/2007/10/madeleine-those-pyjamas.html
On the interview on Spanish TV where are all the links gone I have not seen it fully?
There is an interesting moment when Kate goes off message and interrupts Gerry to say something like ‘We’ve said nothing, have we ?’ and looks rather triumphantly at interviewer then at Gerry.
As they say in Ireland And And And…
And - you are not supposed to give interviews (or do you conveniently interpret portugese arguido laws that way, when it suits)
And - you have family, friends and spokesman to talk for you (disingenuous!)
And - what about the unanswered questions asked by PJ that might help solve this mystery ? ((They cannot make you answer, can they?)

I do not believe that all the friends would be able to keep their mouth shut if they, by their silence, were implicated in a murder. My friendships have limits, I’m sure theirs do also….

Evidence of a crime is not required for SS to remove children.
