1239. Stig I totally agree. I thought Chemello and Paz were extremely disturbed sinister people who I thought would have been thrown in jail just on the evidence I had read about them. Not only had they tried to blackmail the McCanns but they had a male child with them who disappeared. Paz’s daughter had testified earlier about her mother and Chemello’s sadistic behaviour. Plus there were other charges against them as well. I cannot remember if I had read it in a French or Spanish newspaper but I could swear I read other reports of their release at the end of August or early September just before the McCanns were made arguidos. I will search for the info on Sunday or Monday when I have more time. Have a nice weekend.

I disagree with you.
I think it’s debatable whether there is in fact anything ‘criminal’ in what the McCann’s allegedly did re leaving the children in an unlocked apartment. Let me be clear though - Whether what they allegedly did was criminal or not, I completely disagree with it and they ought to be thoroughly ashamed of their actions. To make matters worse, I don’t think they, any of their supporters or apologists have ever really owned up and said it was wrong, unacceptable, stupid etc…
To further clarify.. I use the word ‘allegedly’ in the above paragraph because if Madeleine wasn’t abducted at about the time the parents would have us believe, then it is possible that whole ‘children left on their own’ is some kind of elaborate fabrication to draw attention away from some other time period when Madeleine came to some harm/went missing.

Well actually I was a Lit major so I was forced to read Story of O, Henry Miller, Anais Nin etc….I used to write very clever mock ups of those authors to the joy of my then boyfriend’s heart and other organs. Hey I just read the quote above by Anorak where that guy Angel says ‘why does madeleine have to be in Spain? Why not Morrocco or Portugal?…etc…)
Is it just a good reason to visit Spain often for them without suspicion?
I would be watching their movements very closely cops when they visit Spain to follow up any sightings - watch where they go this time!

My female friends ( yes I do have friends that live in the real world as well)
all found Gerry’s behaviour in the interview difficult to watch.
One of them who was in a violent relationship for a long time said his body
language reminded her of him.
He did not come across as protective in a loving way - more squeezing her hand
and showing a lot of concern about what she would say next.
If they are telling the truth there is no reason for Gerry to worry since nothing Kate
says could incriminate them - why would their lawyer stop them from answering questions that may lead to Maddie being found? That doesn’t make any sense unless they had committed a crime.
Conclusion: Starting to feel sorry for Kate now - not even Gerry trusts her.
She did everything asked of her - even cried for the camera apparently- did they edit it out?
Apparantley they stopped 4 times because she was crying uncontrollably - some good editing there since I did not notice the joins!
Everyone keeps saying how she cannot control her emotions - unless she has had Botox or is trying hard not to get any wrinkles - she hardly moves her facial muscles - so if they stopped 4 times - did they re-apply her make-up and do her hair at each stop?
Must have taken a few days to film.

Assume Madeleine wasn’t abducted at around the time suggested by her parents… OK… So why shouldn’t we also challenge that whatever happened to Madeleine happened between 9.00 Pm and 10.00 PM? Just because that’s the time that people want us to believe the crime(s) were committed, it doesn’t mean we should only consider that single hour. So, yes they were checking the children regularly, especially between 9.00 and 10.00 PM, so THEY all have alibis. But what if Madeleine had been ‘moved’ prior to anyone being in the Tapas Bar that evening?
Am I making sense yet?

I don’t see how they could get out of the outstanding arrest warrant. I too would wonder if a connection to other activities was suspected if letting them go with comprehensive surveilance installed, was to give them enough rope..
I do not have a strong theory that they were connected to Madeline but you have to wonder where they get the children their ‘business’ seems to be based on. I also mentioned them because there could be others like them who have not surfaced.
I can see how if Madeline had passed through your hands, the size of the reward might tempt you to try and get her back or pass on her current location.

That will become self-evident when you read it. It is not a novel, but a book by the guy who wrote ‘A Road Less Travelled’.
However, if you have no interest in human nature then don’t bother.
It is an excellent insight into how evil can flourish in our society because of people refusing to accept responsibility for their actions - amongst other things.

Thought just came to me after seeing pics in yesterdays press of madeleine on her 2nd birthday
