Hey - have you lot seen the new thread left an hour ago on Anorak that an Irish teenager smoking saw Gerry talking to Wilkins - but no Jane Tanner and no Mystery man with child?
I guess that makes 2 witnesses now that can say there was no Jane and Mystery Abductor that night - Wilkins also did not see them.
And now the CRACKS begin to show!!!!

Not I, I promise!
I completely disagree with what the McCann’s say they did in leaving the children alone every night – except their first night in PDL. It’s an appalling parenting decision, in my opinion, and that’s before you go losing one of your children!
There is some ‘debate’ about whether in fact there is any ‘criminal’ negligence involved in leaving the children alone each night. I’m not a lawyer so I’ll bow to someone who knows the legal position on this one?
And one of the more ‘sane’ explanations I’ve seen as to why they haven’t been found wringing their hands and bawling their eyes out in public and admitting they made a dreadful mistake, is because seemingly doing so might be taken as a ‘legal’ admission that they ‘knew’ there was a risk in what they were doing. This in turn would leave them open to legal neglect charges. Again here I’m not a lawyer.
And my other consistent point on all of this, particularly on the evening of 3rd May, is that just because we are told they were checking the children every 20-30 minutes, that in itself does not prove that all of the children were alive and well in their apartment. Doesn’t mean they weren’t either.

We hope that this picture may jog someone’s memory who may have seen this man in the Praia da Luz area on the night or days before Madeleine was abducted.

It has been a busy few days for Kate and I. We did our first interview since being made arguidos, for Spanish TV. This was very difficult for us but had one important purpose. We announced that private investigators are looking for Madeleine and that there is a dedicated ANONYMOUS telephone line for anyone who has information, which may help us to find Madeleine. The number is +34.902.300.213. We urge anyone who may have information to please call this number.
The investigators are based in Spain because we believe Madeleine is most likely to be in the Iberian Peninsula or North Africa. They have also released a sketch of an eyewitness who saw a man carrying a small child away from near the apartment on the night Madeleine disappeared. We believe this child was Madeleine. The Portuguese police have released the description of the man previously: he is 35-40 years old, approximately 5’8”-5’10” (1.72-1.78m), Caucasian with southern European/Mediterranean appearance, slim build with dark hair. We hope that this picture may jog someone’s memory who may have seen this man in the Praia da Luz area on the night or days before Madeleine was abducted. Someone else may be aware of a man matching this description who has behaved suspiciously at any time since the beginning of May.

Yes I agree. I shouldn’t have said “talked” but instead “reveal what they know”. Not sure about the sex angle at least not the entire group. Maybe something illicit going on between the mystery person(s) who quickly left and one or two in the group? I find drugs makes more sense to me. I don’t think they’d have gone to Portugal or specifically a MW resort nor do I think they’d bring their children.
