Madeleine McCann: Jane Tanner’s eFit, A Spanish Angel And Wearing Pink Pyjamas
MADDY WATCH - Anorak’s at-a-glance guide to press coverage of Madeleine McCann
DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE – 70% DON’T BELIEVE McCANNS”
The McCanns are on the TV in Spain. The show is followed by a phone vote. The people vote, at least some of them do; how many, we are not told. One, two, three..? Gerry is a “cardiologist”
Pages 4 and 5: “Police: Parents are hampering probe.” Angel Galan, head of the Spanish National Police’s kidnap, extortion and murder squad says: “There is no real information to indicate that Madeleine could be in Spain although Mr and Mrs McCann might think so. I think the question is why couldn’t she be in France or in the UK? Why does it have to be Spain, Portugal or Morocco?”
“Drawing that could catch her abductor” – an artist’s impression of a man carrying a child in the vicinity of the McCanns holiday complex on May 3. The man is of average height, of average build, with dark hair and with his facial features not filled in. Do you know him?
The artist was commissioned by the McCanns in light of a person their friend Jane Tanner said she saw on the night Madeleine disappeared
THE SUN front page: “PICTURE SENSATION. He took Maddie – MAN SEEN BY McCANNS’ PAL ON FATEFUL NIGHT”
A drawing of a man. The caption: “Hunted…a drawing of man with child in his arms as seen by Jane Tanner”
Page 13: “MADDIE IN ARMS OF SNATCHER. Pyjamas ‘prove it is her’” – The man is 5ft 6. He is 5ft 10 in the Express. He is “slim”. The girl is wearing pink and white pyjamas. The man is in a maroon shirt, camel coloured trousers and black or brown shoes
Says Clarence Mitchell: “We hope this will go a long was to proving the independent eyewitness account that she was taken by someone and the police’s focus on Kate and Gerry as potential suspects is wrong”. See drawing of a man seen by McCanns’ friend
And: “We believe it does show Madeleine in his arms. The description of the pyjamas is accurate enough to believe that is the case.” The McCanns’ friend sees the girl wearing pyjamas like those worn by Madeleine, whom she knows
“GERRY BACK AT WORK” – Gerry McCann is a “cardiologist” – lest we ever forget
DAILY MIRROR front page: “This is the man who took our Madeleine. PARENTS RELEASE SKETCH”
Page 11: “’He was slim with untidy black hair, plastered back. He was hurrying with a child in pink pyjajmaas’” (No songs please)
“’KIDNAPPER’ SEEN BY KATE’S PAL”
Paul Routledge: “All I want to do is put my arms around her and say: ‘there, there’ while she sobs out her grief on my shoulder”
DAILY MAIL front page: “Friends’ fears for ‘increasingly fragile’ Kate”
Pages 8 and 9: “Is Kate at breaking point?” – If she cracks up will the papers like her better? “Friends fear for Maddie’s mother after TV ordeal”
“SPANISH EYES” – The McCanns have launched a private “proxy investigation” in Spain. Under Portuguese law it is illegal to use private detectives while an investigation is ongoing
The mystery man who may have taken her” – Mrs Tanner sees the man. She is later “racked with guilt”
DAILY STAR front page: “MADDIE PARENTS ‘HIDING TRUTH’ – 70 per cent of TV viewers thinks McCanns are lying”
Pages 4 and 5: “BODY LANGUAGE SPECIALIST GIVES HIS VERDICT ON KATE – ‘MUM WOULD BE VERY GOOD POKER PLAYER’.” Robert Phipps watches the interview with Kate McCann on Spanish TV. She is frowning, and expert Phipps says this is indicative of “pain” and stress. Who knew? We do not know if he then voted in the subsequent poll
THE TIMES front page: “Madeleine ‘abductor’” – The white man is of “medium build”
Page 9: “’This is the man who took Madeleine away’” – The Times says the new picture bears “no resemblance to Robert Murat”. The picture has been handed to the McCanns’ detectives who are operating across Europe and North Africa
DAILY TELEGRAPH front page: “Madeleine ‘abductor’” – This is the man Jane Tanner says she saw at 9:15pm on May 3

McCanns “horrified” at public reaction and “considering taking legal action” - again.

5 days 25 days whatever. All I’m saying is that Julie finds one thing unbelievable and not another. I find some peoples remarks on here unbelievable.
Its all just unbelievable!

There were no ‘legs’ described in the original claims.

You’ve nailed them both.

950 Garth,
No Garth, thats a fantasy, irrelevant, a distraction - the fact that you have hooked on to it like a limpet is very illustrative of its purpose.
You will not consider the many discrepancies and the beahvioural oddities that we can watch and see ourselves (videos of interviews etc) but you place a disproportionate amount of attention to a cartoon character carrying a child made to look like the neglected child. Drawn from the description of a person who is implicated - although some 4 inches shorter than the original decription.
I’ll ask you again, what is your angle?
October 26th, 2007 at 8:20 pm
Remembering lots of details is difficult - you remember what you focus the most on - the child’s legs….

There’s no doubt–the McCanns come across as very desperate people, financially and in other ways, too.

950. I agree. She has tried her best and is not doing too good of a job of it.

Jane Tanner’s purported description of the evil abductor shows that she was close enough to see the myriad dots and anklet ruffles of the little girl’s pajamas. So the fact that she can describe nothing else is really most remarkable, don’t you think.
Of course, Tanner is likely being untruthful here. I was facetiously pointing out the other stuff. No aspect of her account rings true.

Judith C,
Thank you for your supportive comments. I have read some of your posts and agree with most of everything you’ve said but I missed your remarks containing this main theory. I am not online very much except when the weather is bad which for the past 2 days it has been - so voilà!
I am in the US but have lived in various foreign countries and am not a US citizen. I have no vested interest in the idealogies of any country or their government’s policies except when it comes to human rights and what the UK and US (both gov’t and media orgs) are doing to their citizens is reprehensible. Due to my outrage over the war in Iraq I’ve tried to stay abreast of British news, as well as US more than ever before my life.
From the moment I heard of Kelly’s ’suicide’ I was extremely suspicious. Now that new information is coming out several years later I can only hope that all will be revealed. I think he was an honourable man who had been forced into something very ugly and wanted to set things straight but was killed before he could do so.
I know about Gerry’s connections to COMARE and Gordon Brown’s brother as well but cannot quite understand the importance of the connection other than money? Also, wasn’t the government connection started by Blair and Brown inherited the ordeal?
Maybe the reason why I cannot comprehend the COMARE connection or importance is because money doesn’t mean a lot to me but I imagine it does to people like Gerry McCann, Brown, Blair Bush (perhaps the British and US governments want to build nuclear facilities not only in their own countries but in Iraq?).
I have not figured the entire story out yet but I definitely agree with you Judith C that these people - regardless that they are doctors for heaven’s sake - so the f**** what?! - they are basically non-identities - whose involvement in this is not what it appears.
This is not to say they are innocent 100%. I believe they are culpable in the harm which is more than likely come to poor Madeleine and although they are being forced to keep quiet this may not be completely correct. I think they had a few options which were presented to them on May 3rd and they opted for the most lucrative one. Sold their soul to the devil as the saying goes. It’s never worth it is it?
So Judith C do you think they are keeping quiet because they cannot talk or because they fear the money trail will end or their current careers will cease to exist?
I get the distinct feeling that new careers are being set up for both Gerry and Kate and they will pretend to be outraged that they can no longer practise medicine but will be very happy because their new positions will give them greater wealth and privilege than they ever dreamed possible. Just my opinion at this time.

What on earth has happened to the numbering of the posts in the last two minutes?
October 26th, 2007 at 8:16 pm
947 dave s …. strangely enough I also find no humour in a certain pair of parents who left kids alone, and are now being treated as if they’re the next royal family! I find it quite sickening that certain government departments seem to overlook the obvious!

You are correct in that in America you are not allowed to do any work in your home unless it passes code. Not a bad thing. But, again you are on to “cerificates” America is 3 times larger if you clump the UK and Germany together.
It is obvious you have not been mixing with the elitest in America’s best educated.

Maybe, and I guess she has raked her brain trying to remember. I think the most important thing is that the focus is on someone who was carrying a child.

actually it was the gold lame cock ring which made me laugh.
I don’t find anything remotely funny about a missing child, but that was not a joke about her but rather about knitting at the gallows.
you may not be knitting but you’re still watching!

Wow Garth has it bad! Wish he’d explain! Might help blow the whole thing open!

Yes, I agree with what you said. It was coolandcalm who confused me because what she said contradicted herself.
Anyway, there’s a clearer diagram now and front and back has been addressed. I can’t see how Tanner could have walked past Gerry and Jerry (ok Jeremy) without being seen by either of them - regardless of whether she went down the alley or the street. This is why Jeremy Wilkins was so adamant about it.
Tanner’s story seems like a load of cobblers.

Chilling. You have a lot of isnsight then? Any chance you could post your telephone number just in case the situation ever arises?
Creepy people. Not the McCanns, either. Some of you are way more frightening.

ah, c’mon that was quite funny what she said!
play nice now….

945 Taybie the Saxon … you’re quite right …. they’re far from “diplomats”, so they cannot claim immunity (although I bet they wish they could)!

I’ve yet to see that one. The first one was bloodthirsty and I thought pretty nasty in the scene were the family gets slashed/killed in the old caravan.
Perhaps there was enough horror in 5a on May 3rd. I dread to think what happened to poor Madeleine.

Thea said (quote)
762. Uta Hagen,
” It is my opinion that the unprecedented support of the McCanns by high level officials and by the British media is simply another ruse - it merely appears that it is the McCanns and Tapas 7 who are being protected and given massive resources. The real fact is that there is a missing person or persons from the McCann group at the MW resort on May 3rd. It is actually this person or group of people who are being protected. High ranking government officials know the id of this person or people. That’s why Clarence Mitchell was summoned to PdL on her majesty’s behest and then hired…..errr I mean placed in the PR position for the McCanns.”
(unquote)
I say it’s starting to look that way. I haven’t posted on here since the announcement last Sunday that the PJ were on their way to interrogate the Tapas 7. I thought “what’s the point of any more speculating, the interrogation of O’Brien and co might crack the case?”
What did Ribelo mean when he said that he had a written order from the Portuguese prosecutor and that the PJ and Leicester police were going to interrogate the Tapas 7 “within days”?
Rumour has it that this now means “actually folks we’re not coming at all.” Doesn’t do much for Ribelo’s credibility in that case!
Another poster a couple of days ago said there was a rumour that the Tapas gang were claiming “diplomatic immunity.” Any truth in that? Can’t see how there can be - they’re not diplomats.
So maybe there was a Tapas 10, someone from an embassy or a government agent, or someone with friends in very high places. Wasn’t there some ambassador in Portugal who resigned last month?
Gordon Borwn beware - if the Tapas 7 interrogations don’t happen soon, this whole thing is going to stink to high heaven.

902 Rest
Because it is spin a la McCann/Mitchell which if it had one digit of fact about it would have had Murat in jail by now and he is not, he is off suspicious list, though not off suspect list as they, PJ, do not want him to discuss anything. Pj searched his property etc and nothing there.Repeat nothing. !!
Tanner said it was Murat carrying “!child” in blanket..later to become pink pajamas..now look at kiddies sketch…straight black hair..Murat has curly brown hair. That kiddy sketch is having a larf…..if you saw Alan Jonhson documentary last night on BBC on his 114 days in Gaza having been kidnapped, and the identikit the artist did on his memory of captor… it was very very detailed and Alan J barely saw his face but took great note nevertheless.
This joke looks like the twins drew it.

I think whether it was 2 days or 25 days, the logistics are the same - i.e. body needs to be stored relatively safely for a long time. It wouldn’t be outside because flies would be on it in hours.
I was in the hangar at Malta’s airport years ago after a terrorist attack where many people got killed in the crossfire. The eerie thing was the dusty outlines of bodies on the floor. The bloke that took me in there to show me the bullet ridden plane parts said that was his most eerie thing because the bodies were in there for so long in bags before being taken away. They had caused body shaped outlines in dust to be formed! Don’t underestimate hiding a body if it’s done properly.
