Mr Murat has also repeatedly protested his innocence, although three of the McCanns’ friends and a nanny from the Ocean Club resort are adamant they saw him soon after Madeleine disappeared.
He is alleged to have originally claimed he was staying with Miss Walczuch that night, but has since said he was at home all evening with his mother.
This week Jennifer Murat testified to the BBC’s Panorama programme that her son had never left the villa, and branded the McCanns’ friends “liars”

Well, in the unlikely event this post stays on the thread long enough for anyone to see it - thanks M&A, for replying to my post - but why has even THAT post now disappeared too, and why has your reply to the vanished post appeared under my nom de guerre?
I think the whole rerereredesign over the last month has been pretty much a disaster.
The site wasn’t broke in the first place, so why on earth has some amateur been pissing around for weeks ‘fixing’ it??????????

Murder dear, I have no idea where said post has gone.
We have had real problems with the high level of posters daily, our designer is far from useless, and maintaining a site for its content and accessability is an onerous task, and on going. If it gives the impression of ‘not being broke, why fix it’, well more kudos to our chappie than you are giving him.

What happened to all he posts between 1:25am and 5.24am?
Has your busy web reredesigner dumped part of the database?
And did you ask him/her why they’re so keen to use a serif font? Is it just to be different?

So they’ve hijacked Anorak as well have they? Naughty Clarence……
I dont believe anything I read anymore. Haven’t for a while actually. And certainly wont after this case. And dont even get me started on tv news coverage…..
Since when have supposed journalists and expert analysts become comediens?…………..
How come a story comes out that Murat is being re interviewed even though there is no further evidence and yet we read that the judge has refused that the McCanns be re interviewed because there’s no further evidence?
Its all f****** bullshit.
Lets just analyse on here.

The Real Stig Says:
“But we don’t know if this is what they had, or just the ordinary Calpol.”
I already pointed out it makes no sense that the McCanns were talking about plain Calpol, becasue that does not contain diphenhydramine. The McCanns’ WHOLE POINT was that any diphenhydramine found in blood samples probably came from Calpol — thus they MUST be referring to the product “Calpol Night” which does contain diphenhydramine.
And by the way, the McCanns have admitted that none of their children were ill, and their claim was that Calpol was used to help induce sleep — that is to say, they admitted abusing the drug.
“Surely the PJ, since they were suspicious, would know since they would have searched the apartment.”
The PJ may have found some Calpol Night, or the McCanns could just be lying about using Calpol Night. It could very well be that any diphenhydramine found in the blood was NOT from Calpol Night, but from pills, injection, etc.
“Even if they did have Calpol Night, the idea you could give a ‘fatal’ dose to a child is not credible - to me anyway. ”
No one said the issue was a “fatal dose” of diphenhydramine. The issue was merely that diphenhydramine (which acts as a sedative) was said to be found in blood samples, and the McCanns claimed this was because they administered Calpol to all 3 children.
“the amount required would be hard to administer and would be something like a whole bottle - adt that would likely only induce a coma, if that.”
Again, the issue is not a fatal dose. The issue would be why doctors are administering diphenhydramine (whether orally or by syringe) when the children are not ill and there is no medical requirement for it.
The dosage at which diphenhydramine is used recreationally (to create hallucination and delirium) is only slightly more than twice the USA maximum recommended dosage. (do a Google for many first-hand accounts of recreational use).
Rather than fatal dosage, the most likely diphenhydramine-related cause of death would have been an accident caused by , or aggravated by, a state of delirium. The girl would also be more likely to wander off and get lost than if she were not drugged.
If Madeleine had woken up, and been delirious, there was no way for the McCanns to know, because they were a 120m walk away, busy consuming alcohol, socializing, and playing quiz games.

What next?

Haven’t posted yes because it’s a quiet and confused day and also because no-one ever resonds to my posts anyway… but I take the stance of last night I think the PJ are going over the earlier evidence meticulously in case they missed something - hence re-interviewing Murat - I think these are “dismiss these theories” exercises primarily and then they will be left with the ’spurious’ but only hard evidence they have which cough cough seems to implicate the Mccanns

I am very confused - what has Heather Mills got to do with the McCanns - what has Heather Mills got to do with anything?
Have never posted on here before but have been enjoying your banter for quite some time now!
anyway, here’s a question I meant to post about 4 weeks ago but never got round to it - Who is the McCanns priest/vicar/ whatever in their home town? He must know them ever so well, them being so religious and all but he must also be the only cleric in the UK who doesn’t relish his face being plastered across the media whilst he conducts services of remembrance/ support/ whatever. I would love to hear his character witness statment.

Calpol and Sedative overdose.
“British doctors believe it is extremely unlikely for parents - especially doctors such as the McCanns – to give a child an overdose of regular medicines intended to sedate children.
Antiallergy medication, such as Piriton, can be given as a sedative but at least a bottle would be needed to cause an overdose. Professor Saad Shakir, of the Drug Safety Research Unit in Southampton, said: “It is very difficult to persuade a child to take that amount.”
The McCanns have said they only gave their children Calpol, which is a painkiller containing paracetamol. It does not have a sedative effect. If administered in huge doses, such as a couple of bottles, it would damage the liver - but the effect would take several days to become apparent. Nor is a child who has overdosed doomed: they can be given an antidote to neutralise the effect of the drug. ”

1411 — The Real Stig — “Where is everyone?” I think no one wants to post under today’s Anorak Madeleine summary of headlines because it’s got Lady Di and Heather Mills mixed in. So, a few diehards like you and me are posting under yesterday’s summary, while the rest of the posters sit this round out. To the moderators of Anaorak: we posters are obsessed with the Madeleine McCann case itself, not with thematic links between that case and Heather Mills!

I think you are right, Calpol Night may have been available to Kate earlier than the general public, according to a post saw on another forum.
But we don’t know if this is what they had, or just the ordinary Calpol. Surely the PJ, since they were suspicious, would know since they would have searched the apartment.
Even if they did have Calpol Night, the idea you could give a ‘fatal’ dose to a child is not credible - to me anyway. My wife read the expert opinion of a doctor on the radio who said the amount required would be hard to administer and would be something like a whole bottle - adt that would likely only induce a coma, if that.

DUARTE LEVY AND PAULO REIS IN GAZETTA DIGITAL INFORM US:
30.10.07, 4:52pm
The Moroccan authorities expelled a British citizen, a few days ago, after he contacted staff from a gas station near the city of Marrakesh. A source from “Sureté Nacionale”, Moroccan security and intelligence services confirmed that the British citizen offered a large amount of money to several employees, in exchange for specific statements about a sighting concerning a blonde girl. British embassy in Morocco, contacted by SOS Madeleine, refused to comment. The possibility of having private detectives working in their country was referred, by the same source, as “an offence and a violation of national sovereignty”.
A source from PJ also told SOS Madeleine that “any person who undertakes a private investigation about a crime, in Portugal, is committing a crime - perverting the course of Justice – and will be arrested.” The McCann hired a private Spanish company, Metodo 3, to set up a hotline for people having information about Madeleine.
The hotline number has replaced the police phone numbers in the official page of FindMadeleine campaign. But according to Spanish Law and the specific regulations concerning private detective’s activity, any information received concerning a crime must be immediately forwarded to police.

My take on Murat is that he has no involvement in Maddie’s disappearance and that any DNA found near his home is his own little girl’s DNA, but the story has twisted through the rumor mill. Either that, or someone on team McCann tried to plant DNA evidence near his pool.
Basically I think he’s being reinterviewed as part of the review procedure by Rebelo.
Like many, I sensed that the McCann camp was mortified that an innocent man was taking the fall for M’s disappearance and their only intent is to cast guilt on a phantom, not a real man. I think that’s still their intent. Blame a phantom.
It’s as if they are tacitly saying, “We’ve lost our daughter. Isn’t that punishment enough? Let us make up a story to save face and keep our pride intact.”
They can’t reconcile the public’s need for the truth, with their own need for a cover story.

Has anyone read Matthew James’ ‘Insight’ for today?
“Insight
Prime of Staves

User of Staves
Three key images. That which is behind the concealing curtain … that which is directed at the User of Weapons … the Prime of Staves and the User of Staves … the Jekyll and Hyde alter egos of the agencies of the Unicorn. The problem and the solution with the injust treatment around the User of Weapons used to create the reaction. He appears to have been double crossed. Double dealed by someone close to whom he gave so much trust. He is seen to fight and defend for his hidden child and family. She is close by it seems symbolically. Closer than he actually realises. He needs to see where and when he has fought battles in her name … in the past … and maybe was seen to win but the defeated one has carried a grudge. The defeated one linked to hidden government agencies perhaps”
— funny: how can a ‘totally innocent’ person be double-crossed???

The McCann’s A Team Hit Squad were so anxious for quick results as per Clarence Mitchell’s instructions that they pounced on the first blonde child in Morocco living with a dark skinned family.
Unfortunately for them it was the same one that the tourist caught on photo recently strapped to her mother’s back. The family are so worried after all the fuss that the child will be taken away from them that they have rushed to find a new hiding place in the hills.

correction:
I wrote: “The manufacturer’s link I quoted shows that the drug was approved for sale December 2006 or earlier.”
The drug diphenhydramine has been around a long time. The PRODUCT “Calpol Night” was approved for sale by December 2006.
Diphenhydramine is present in various drugs, and can be taken in pill form, injected, etc.

Stevo Says:

“I thought about what you said with the new guy replacing Amaral in some kind of ruse. It doesn’t really make sense because they could have brought this new guy in anyway. Why go to the lengths to sack Amaral as subterfuge?”
I myself had not thought it through too deeply. I had been mulling over someone’s comment that it was unusual for cops to criticize themselves that way (blaming Amaral for having a messy office with vital papers disorganized and ignored). But in the essence I think my suspicion is correct.
The”ruse” part in my speculation is Amaral’s (valid!) criticism of the McCanns’ obstruction of justice. I think the decision had already been made to replace him, and so they figured we might as well let him lash out at how the McCanns are maipulating the Briitish press and British police. Subsequent events (establishing a hotline for clues or sightings that bypasses the police) proved that Amaral’s parting criticisms were spot on.
As for Amaral’s supposedly ignoring evidence, it’s interesting that it can be interpreted as OPPOSITE of what the McCanns were hoping. For it was clearly stated that the police are working on the assumption that Madeleine is dead; there was no change in that. So what change was there? Well, the new chief is the most experienced with extensive pedophilia networks… so the reason for “subterfuge” would be to let Team McCann make more idiotic comments about how the police are now vindicating the McCanns. In reality, most likely the investigation has broadened in scope to include a network of individuals, Kate & Gerry just being the two whose daughter happened to die while being abused and/or neglected.
And furthermore, it was convenient to “sack” Amaral, since he had an indirect connection to the roughing up of a woman accused in another case of killing her child. By the way, the similarity of that case may go beyond what is usually mentioned — there was incest involved, and the girl had been repeatedly raped. This much was confessed by the uncle (who was having sex with the mother) and it was also admitted that the girl died. But they refused to cooperate and find the body. Both were convicted without any confession by the mother, who had been (so it is said) beaten in custody.
So looking at it this way, you are getting rid of a guy who might have a history of showing deficiency while working on particularly disgusting and heinous crimes of pedophilia, REPLACING him with the one man who has excelled in this area of crime.
“The idea of a high-level and large scale pedophile scenario has a lot of clues indicating it as a possibility. I think the biggest problem is that normal people don’t know how a pedophile thinks and does his/her dirty deed. This is why it’s hard to get your head around the theory.”
Exactly. Specializing in investigating this sort of crime is NOT what most people want to do in life!! Personally, it was with great reluctance that I have concluded the likelihood of McCann involvement with pedophilia networks. I’m like most people — I would rather not even think about it.

“The claim that Calopol Night was not available in the UK prior to May 3rd was originally made by Cool and Calm, not me.”
I apologize for getting mixed up. Feel free to answer, though (with references, please)… since apparently Cool and Calm was unable to…
Again, it actually works AGAINST the McCanns statement if Calpol Night was not available, since they were using “Calpol” as an excuse for diphenhydramine found in the blood samples. Moreover, the availability in pharmacies is one thing, but the availability to doctors is another. The manufacturer’s link I quoted shows that the drug was approved for sale December 2006 or earlier.
