The ‘phone csalls made by the McCanns - especially those in the first few hours after Madeleine ‘disappeared’ - are very telling. You know, like Kate’s mother being told by Kate that there had been a ‘disaster’. And like Gerry McCann’s brother (John?) being told that the shutters had been forced open with a jemmy. And the urgent ‘phone calls to the priest who married them in England and to the priest in Praia da Luz. Plus many ‘phone calls in those first few hours to all the TV stations and journalists - with Kate McCann sat virtuallly clamped to the sofa in the children’s bedroom, apparently unable to move through grief - and unwilling to join in the search.
Your laughable.
If the phone calls were so damning as you’d like to think, why arent the McCanns being
charged? Also, if ( again as you’d like to think) they did have something to do with her disappearance, do you honestlky think the McCanns would strike up a potentially incriminating conversation by phone? Bearing in mind of course, that they are very clever and calculating.
October 30th, 2007 at 10:08 pm
Both!
My theory is that Kate was overwrought and lost her temper. Banged M and knocked her for six. Hit her head, killed her. Tried to hide her behind settee in a panic before Gerry got home. Gerry arrived, saw the panic. She cried, explained, and they concoted the plan. Gerry sorted it. Used friends. Buried her at the beach. Went about their normal nightly routine. Moved her later.

The more I read about that incriminating evidence story the less it makes sense. How can the police suddenly that night have phone info that is incriminating? Anyone would be expected to make lots of calls under such a situation so what would make one call more incriminating than another?

Stevo 969- haven’t there been cases recently where one peadophille gets careless, gets caught, computer, phone etc turn up a whole network. I also was led to believe the more extreme the abuse in some networks the more noteriaty the abuser achieves within the group. I get the feeling that some of the groups are like secret communities. Terrifying , sick, unfathomable……and so very , very sad for the millions of victims.

To Judge: I only posted a quote in the Fund Articles. I am not responsible for content nor am I offering commentary. I leave the wisdom to my fellow bloggers. I search out clues with my over sized magnifier and I present clues as I find them, right or wrong, good or bad, ugly or pretty, me and Pitty will do our best to keep all here abreast (not boobs).

This might well be true and if so proves you can’t believe everything you read in the papers. Then again we already knew that didn’t we? Thank you for putting me straight .Could I also add to that hearsay is just that if devoid of substantiation.

Throw it back to me when you’ve answered the question. Its really no good saying none of the theories make sense. A lot of them make equal or more sense than the abduction theory you believe. You believe in something that has absolutely no evidence. At least all the other theories (whether well thought out or otherwise) are usually based on something, be it inconsistencies or contradiction in words or deeds. You have nothing but the notion that because in a normal world this would be an obvious abduction, then abduction it is. It may be so but we live in anything but a normal world and this case has clearly provided all the ammunition one could dream of for a multitude of theories to surface which implicate the parents. I only asked you to play devil’s advocate and you can’t even bring yourself to do that.

The full objects of the Find Madeleine fund are:
Open to change anytime the organisers want to change them. Being a private company, they have no legally binding basis.
The only thing that has to any legal basis is whatever was stated when the appeal was set up.
The following statement was made on May 17th in respect of the fund.
The family of Madeleine McCann are to-day launching the Madeleine’s Fund: Leaving No Stone Unturned appeal. The funds will be used to help find Madeleine McCann, support her family and bring her abductors to justice. Any surplus funds will be used to help families and missing children in United Kingdom, Portugal and elsewhere in similar circumstances.
When the fund was launched, the term ’support her family’ did not as far as I’m concerned imply that paying the McCanns mortgage, nor did it imply paying expences for extended family members. However that is just my opinion.
The fact is ’support the family’ can mean virtually anything that is spent on behalf of the family and is in fact legally permissible.

953,
Avisitor,
This is odd, because the Portuguese phone company providing the service to owners of British, or other foreign mobiles, would hold all the records…the billing history, numbers dialled, wouldn’t they?
As I understand it, the overseas network provider gives a temporary local number (which the British or other foreign user never actually sees) and all billing info is recorded on that. I’m not sure whether that includes text messages, but it probably does, as well as location information about where the call originated.

I am in the Go Go Gadget Mobile parked at the beach at Praia da Luz searching the sand for stray DNA and wondering if Criminal Profiler Pitty Brownie will join me in my interviews, then I’ll report each day on our progress as we make our way up the coast interviewing the homeless and beach bunnies and hopefully skunk up some news of interest not squeezed from the British Press. The truth is out there friends and fellow bloggers - it’s just hard to see amidst all the muck! Even though Pitty detests the Mc’s, we’ll do our best not to leak out one sided spin. So, until later my Go Go friends.

Can’t readers of the site for so long add to the info sharing without suspicious comments being made? Or are some people too much in suspicion mode? Which I appreciate with this being such a mysterious case (and might I add a sickeningly murderous case IMO). But your comments do put newcomers off.

942 Can’t say No asked: (October 30th, 2007 at 9:23 pm): “Tony Bennett - Are you joking?”
ANSWER: Most certainly not.
And you’ll remember how the McCanns also nearly seized up with terrifiied disbelief that the PJ might have been listening in to all their ‘phone calls - and, reportedly, promptly told all their relatives and friends to stop ‘phoning them in case the PJ were eavesdropping on thier conversations. The actions of ‘innocent parents’ with nothing to hide.
I don’t think so.
Neither, apparently, do 80% of Brits and 70% of Portuguese and Spaniards.
To my mind virtually everything in this case points to a deliberate cover-up of something pretty nasty by the McCans AND by most of the (Pact of Silence) ‘Tapas 9′.
And I think the way the case has gone to date also points up a declension in our ability these days to separate fact from fiction - not helped in this particualr case by the third-rate newspaper coverage we have had of this story - leagues behind continental coverage of it.
Too much television, perhaps?

And isn’t Gary Glitter due back to Blighty soon after he’s released? Those lawyers are going to be working overtime. I posed the question earlier today but got no responses. I was wondering what is the normal “pedophile etiquette”? Like…do they stick together and watch out for each other or do they like to inform on each other as a way of avoiding being caught themselves?

There are quite a few eyewitness accounts of Kate being physically upset prior to that event.

Here’s an article about the McCanns criticism of the police:
http://archive.gulfnews.com/articles/07/09/11/10152849.html
Thank you Stevo. However this is a criticism of the focus of the investigation, not a personal attack on the integrity or ability of the as suggested by Thea. In addition, what members of the extended family say cannot fairly be assumed to come from either Gerry or Kate. Please give me a reference where the McCanns give the impression that” they (PJ) are lazy morons and UK police are brilliant and hard working.”-THEA-858
