Sorry, it took much time to find a blind fold big enough to fit over Pitty’s big head….now she is officially is in the dark and much better to find the missing DNA…..
Oh, but Pitty is a trial. She keeps wanting me to rub her toes, her boots are pinching….no, no Pitty stop licking your toes……stop it, stop, now…good, fine, that’s better. Take this magnifying glass and follow the tiny little wee tracks in sand and see where they lead….too bad if you can’ see……being blind helps, don’t ask me how, it just does.
Don’t ask me what I think. I have no opinion. It’s clues I’m after. Just the facts, only the facts, and Pitty will spread them on the bedspread back at the resort….and glean an answer after our nap.
Now, the evidence……….no I will not talk about sex…no.sex. Mothers and Fathers are not allowed to have sex……..
Okay……..sigh……….the evidence is what? What did you say - you have none. No Evidence of anything…that can’t be. A crime has been committed….we will find evidence even if we have to make some up!

Just a question. If the McCanns commited a crime and by all accounts wept profusely , screamed a little, berated themselves for having left the children, did all the expected ,”normal” things,praised the investigative team and quietly went home .Would they have more of a chance of getting away with it, even gaining sympathy, than a couple who invited the world to view and speculate, all the while claiming that this was to raise awareness. After that, to hire private investigators, excellent by all accounts. I mean would it not cross one’s mind if guilty of course, that these investigators might find them out ? Two very intelligent but guilty people would doubtless know how to play the public sympathy card and they would not go against the wishes of the PJ and quietly hire the best investigators they could find. They would have done what was expected.

This would have the effect of a) confirming another sighting as credible but b) ruling out identification of a member of the group since it would reasonably be assumed that 2 witnesses, including JT, had seen the same unknown man.

The problem isn’t the journalists.
The problem is that the newspapers are too frightened of lawsuit threats by the McCanns to publish anything overtly critical. Plenty of journalists are willing to write non-laudatory articles. But newspapers won’t publish them.
The Ramseys, accused by the lead detective of killing their daughter, JonBenet, successfully sued the detective for libel a while back. Cases like that tend to put a damper on publishing. But so do the McCanns’ very outspoken threats.
