If you read the fine print of my organisation you will see that I am free to buy myself new shoes, new boobs, marzipan, clothing, travel expenses, chocolate and haircuts as well as tennis and golf lessons for my husband and of course all the other ‘bitter’ daily expenses like childcare for our 3 year old, ice cream and child-approved toppings, DNA tests, panic buttons and an enlargement to our garden by 150 yards plus a pool and tapas bar. I know, I know our mortgage is going to increase even more but hey that’s what funds are for until the bitter end that is.

John 248 - I don’t know how much is Paulo REIS to be trusted on this. Especially suggesting that the PJ will discuss “the final steps in the investigation”.
I sometimes think he gets a bit emotional on this issue and that may blur his objectivity.
Frankly, i think it’s probably more likely that the new investigation team is just meeting to go through the work that has been done to date, and to determine next steps in the investigation (far from being the final steps). Particularly because as far as we know there is no “body” and the DNA evidence seems not to be conclusive. If you add to that the increasing pressure by the british press and institutions to boycot tourism to portugal etc…
I wouldn’t be surprised if in the next days the PJ comes out to say that all lines of investigation are still open but that the abduction theory is very high in the agenda (this will mean start preparing public opinion to close the case and say - Madeleine was snatched and don’t know where she is).
The only question I would still have is IF and WHEN will the portuguese courts give access to the file of evidence that suggested the mcCanns involvement. I reckon there would be some damning information there (maybe not enough to secure a conviction) but at least for some in the british press and government to question who they were siding with.

I have no idea. But coming up with stories of success wouldn’t do Metodo3 any harm for further business, au contraire.
Sheds a positive light on the parents, i.e. they did something and it was crowned by success?
Keeps it in the heads of the British public that the “inept” Portuguese Police couldn’t solve it, so they took matters in their own hands? Of course you can’t look after mortgages and stuff when you’ve got important things to do?
I just don’t know. But what I do know is that during all this, I have become even more of a cynic.

I think the plan is that the McCanns will eventually tour the globe following up the ‘leads’ that the PI’s find - so expect to see them in Florida, Koh Samui, Bora Bora, Surfers Paradise and Gstaad.
I hear there is a rumour that a paedo ring is using luxury hotels around the world so I anticipate the Ritz, Waldorf and Hilton cahains will be busy in the next year.
Good way to spend a fund - if you’re a crook that is.

Stig got a little hot under the collar yesterday because I mentioned a credit agency. Personally I think he’s closer to the McCanns than we think. If you touch a nerve with him, it really gets to him like you insulted him personally.
I agree that people in here shouldn’t be doing that kind of prying but as you commented last night, the police will no doubt be looking into their finances as a matter of routine.
Thanks for the support. As always I like to emphasise to everyone in here that it’s not about pro or anti McCann…it’s about pro-Madeleine and finding out what happened to her.

The money thing sickens me because this is a couple who did not need financial assistance. If you have a couple of nice new motors on your driveway and can afford to not go back to work for six months then you really don’t need charity.
It sickens me because there’s many families out there that don’t have the clout to have influential people supporting them. If the McCanns were from some council estate they would have received nothing…ziltch.

Jacqueline, I don’t want to challenge the value of you campaigning work and I don’t mean to insult you.
But anyone who holds a british biometric passport knows that the picture must be within certain parameters, and that your face needs to be facing the camera (with a great level of precision). The fact that your face is slightly turned would mean that all the reference points in biometric analysis would be screwed up.
In addition to that, you are dealing with internet jpeg files and not with the original pictures. Something that I’m sure any reputable specialist would reject.
I would encourage you to get a recognised organisation to do this type of analysis. In the meantime, I’m afraid that the information that you have published in your website is misleading and irresponsible. (just my personal point of view).

When I first read the story, I felt very sorry for them. Assumed they had just slipped out for a few moments for quick drink with mates, after all kids sleeping soundly. Negligent but possible. However, soon as i heard this was a regular thing (kids fell sasleep very easily every night), I started to think differently. The very first time I saw an interview with them, my blood ran cold and I felt sick to my stomach. Call it gut feeling, but we all know that sometimes our gut feelings are right. I now feel that every tiny thing that they have done since May 3rd is vile and foul. All the money and spin in the world won’t buy them any respect from me. We are all trying to persuade the pro McCanns. Waste of time. I think we need to try to make sense of what THEY did. Was it an accident cover up or cold and calculated murder?

the general-manager of Metodo 3, told Spanish Media that witnesses calling the line have confirmed Madeleine McCann was alive and in Morocco. Metodo 3 told newspapers they had also found another kidnapped child, an American blonde girl, in the mountains of Rif. But a source from “Sureté Nacionale”, the Moroccan intelligence services, denied this information and told us they didn’t have any information about the American girl or Madeleine McCann sightings.

Kate and Gerry, any one with any sense can plainly see that you are very good parents who are suffering terribly over the abduction of your beautiful daughter. But our admiration for how you have behaved with dignity throughout all this is immense.
Todays press about you using the fund for mortgage repayments is ridiculous. THAT FUND IS TO ENABLE YOU TO CONTINUE YOUR SEARCH AND IF YOU NEED IT FOR SOMETHING AS GENUINE AS KEEPING THE ROOF OVER YOUR HEAD IN THE MEANTIME THEN REST ASSURED YOU HAVE MINE AND EVERYONE I HAVE SPOKEN TO TODAYS BLESSING.
