There’s something deeply intriguing about the McCanns strategy.
Are they shooting at whatever moves on the press or do you think that they actually know what evidence the police has against them? Just consider the following:
Evidence : DNA samples confirm sedation - Immediately grandmother comes out and says that the abductor must have sedated MAdeleine before taking her.
Evidence : DNA samples confirm presence of Madeleine’s body in the car - Immediately Gerry McCann comes out with an explanation that they transported rotten mean and nappies from Madeleine and sweaty sandals could be the origin of these fluids.
Evidence : The witness statements given by the Tapas 9 alone about the night of 3 May (not including other neighbours and guests at the ocean club) confirms that it would be impossible for someone to have entered the room and abducted Madeleine without being confronted at one of the checking visits by the parents or their friends - Immediately Gerry McCanns comes out with a story that now he thinks that the abductor was in the room when we went to check for Madeleine (knowing that this would make it more plausible to have an adbuctor entering the room despite the alleged checking).
My guess is that they are somehow having access to details of the accusation file against them. Judging by how some of the portuguese trade union representatives have reacted to their statements (particularly the last one about thinking that the abductor was in the room), it is clear that these statements are obviously produced with the intention of supporting a possible defence in court, or even discouraging the prosecutor from forming an accusation.
It could also be that they are just reacting at these things as they come out in the press (but they don’t really know if this part of the file of evidence against them or not).

Does anyone believe for one minute that Maddie will be found in Morocco? Spain, no. How about Malta or Belgium - been there , done that.
This story has become an absurd pantomine with little dignity in evidence - its time it was put to bed and left there until a genuine development takes place.
The name of Milly Dowler has been mentioned - her parents behaved with quiet strength and decorum for the six months she was missing. No fund was set up. No PR team hired. Just grief that no-one doubted. When her bones were found they thought not of themselves but of their remaining child. Milly’s murderer was never caught.

I still check on this site from time to time but the comments here upset me too much to spend longer than a few minutes here but I am sure the truth will eventually come out. Anyway Stevo you mention something about JW and Murat. I found this quote from an old article in the Daiy Mail

At the moment I’m torn - I think they can’t be guilty because where would they put the body and why would they keep in the media so relentlessly?
Then I think keeping in the media this relentlessly is a very odd thing to do - publicity is meant to help, but not at this level. And I’ve never seen an interview where I thought they were being sincere.

Very intriguing info on NPD. I’d like to warn you and evereyone about “Dr.” Sam Vankin. He is a self-professed sufferer of NPD. His “dr” title comes from a correspondence school unaccredited) He has ben banned from Wikipedia because on the NPD pages he kept sighting his own work and was very manipulative with how the page was being written and edited and was using multiple names and atttacking other contributors. And finally, he heads a NPD survivor group on Yahoo Groups (or used to). I was a member for a couple of days when I realised how unsafe and bizarre it was that this man who claims to have been diagnosed with NPD is the owner/moderator of an NPD group for people who have been abused by people with NPD. i questioned the safety of this set up and was attacked by several of the women (most of the group is female) as being hostile towards “Dr. Sam” and I politely disagreed and brought up several facts about how those with NPD operate - including some information from Dr. Sam himself and next thing I knew I was banned from the group. No message from Dr. Sam privatetly or on the forum - just banned. Eventually I met other people online who had also had similar or even worse (he’s known to be very threatening towards anyone who critcises him or questions his motives - he especially hates women who challenge him) encounters with him
Although much of his writinig on NPD is rather good, study it more and you will find ceretain prejudices. The most glaring one is what he writes about the NPD’s partner, or narcissistic “supplier” as Sam calls the significant other in the narcissist’s life. He claims that the partners is of low to average intelligence and why it’s mainly women who will permit themselves to be the supplier and a whole bunch of other misogynistic tripe which is the forte of many narcissists because of their repressed homosexuality and sexual frigidity - they hatet females (and Dr. Sam Vankin is no different than any other regular NPD guy). He also cannot talk at length about men with NPD being sexually frigid, impotent and in an over whelming amount of cases - homosexual (but repressed and fetishised/fantasised). Like Vankin, these men will often surround themselves with females or people who need help (mental or physical) sos that they can at first glance appear sympathetic and helpful when in reality it’s a sham. They are using these people for their own narcissistic pleasure so that they can feel important and be near the very thing which terrifies them most which is love and humanity. They are misanthropists and are always blaming evereyone else for why they are having trouble.
His book is available online in its entirety so please - to anyone who is interested in this subject matter - please research Vankin first before giving him your money if you are considering purchasing his book. He’s a dangerous person imho. Hopefully he is still living in eastern Europe and no where me.

I feel so sorry for the hard-up Dr’s……having to dip into the “Leaving No Stone Unturned” Fund to pay their hefty mortgage in (allegdly) July and August.

Folks - come one - some of you guys are sounding like the Third Way but with worst language (where is that lunatic by the way - hasn’t been here for a few days?).
The great anorak forum is here to test theories about Madeleine’s disappearance. The paedo- abuse theory within the family and circle of friends is possibly as valid as many other theories here in this forum. But let’s try to keep it above decency lines and skip some of the details.

Though I wouldnt condone the use of phrases like ‘anal penetration’ because its speculation based on speculation, it cannot be denied that for those who dare to keep a very open mind, there are several indicators that this case revolves around paedophilia. It may be coincidence but there are therefore several ‘coincidences’ to accouint for, some tenuous, others worrying.

Yes, well , obviously my point that the McCanns would (if aware that the girl was dead) be guilty of fraud is… well, obvious.
I only meant to emphasize that this has nothing to do with their scam operation being a “charity” or being a “non-profit company”. The McCanns can be targeted with lawsuits if it can be shown that they have been aware that there was no abduction, and that the girl is dead.
Can it be proven that they KNEW Madeleine was dead?…. Probably. If so, they cannot hide behind the confidential finances of a private company.

I don’t believe Madeleine was kidnapped to order by a ring–the risk was too great breaking into an apartment with parents checking every few minutes, and there was obviously not a lot of planning behind the purported plot. No escape vehichle, carrying the child away in plain site. Jane Tanner is trying to imply one monster acting on his own–but oops, now the story has changed to a ring based in North Africa. Ooops, the two plot lines do not match up. How will they make this plot line fly now?
Truthfully, as sweet and dear as Madeleine’s photos are, she is a very ordinary little girl. More likely to be attacked by a single person. Not a ring.
Based on the personality of the mother, I also hold her as the prime suspect.
There must be some type of illegal medical activity going on in the background to bind Gerry, O’Brian and Tanner into the scheme. I agree with the posts that say that Kate is bordering on a nervous breakdown. I agree with the Spanish psychiatrist that she always has been mentally ill (a hidden illness), and now it is more overt.
