It is frustrating that the facts we have done as we were asked is till being looked upon as suspicious”
“COPS IN WINDOW PROBE” – Paolo Rebelo is looking at the window of the McCanns’ holiday apartment. “is this how evil Maddie snatcher struck?”

DAILY EXPRESS front page: “MADELEINE – McCANNS USE FUNDS TO PAY MORTGAGE” – Two mortgage payments on their “£600,000” home

Says Francisco Marco: “Blonde children are a valuable commodity in North Africa. They can be sold for huge sums and give prestige to families who buy them”
DAILY MAIL front page: “MADDIE FUND PAYS McCANNS’ MORTGAGE” – Mortgage repayments on their “£500,000” home. (How long before the Express and Mail start a heated debate on the value of the McCanns home and how that value has been affected by the story?)
Page 4: “Is she in the mountains? Investigators scour Morocco in the search for Madeleine”
Says the Mail: “In an extraordinary coincidence the detectives are reported to have already found an English-speaking blonde girl of about Madeleine’s age living with a local family”
How many more blonde children are in Morocco? And can we find them all?
DAILY STAR front page: “Maddie ‘alive in drug den’”
Page 7: “MADDIE’S IN MOROCCAN MOUNTAINS – Ten sightings with rich Arab”

never quoted. just had a faint memory of some fingerprint playing a role to explain why even a tiny mark that doesn’t belong there can be a big thing.
Read up. You’re right though, it has been a totally different scenario.

What was Tanner doing when she saw the ‘drawing’ man? If she went on to check the kids, it is an irrelevant ’sighting’. On the other hand, it beggars belief that she did not go to look more closely at someone coming from the appartments where 7 children were unattended!

dee. she was not a wpc. she did not leave a finger print. she was never at the scene. However she was severely wrong by her employer and it took significant action for her to prove the expert who maligned her was a dick head. be careful what you quote. she was innocent on every count.

434 — Tinsel — “Truthfully, as sweet and dear as Madeleine’s photos are, she is a very ordinary little girl. More likely to be attacked by a single person. Not a ring. ” Well said. When the McCanns talk about Madeleine as if she were an adult — “She was happy with her life”; “Madeleine especially loved Donegal” — it is spin. I’ve always thought it strange that they would make the case (albeit subtly) that Madeleine was special. All parents love their children, but most people are in touch with the fact that, across the broad population, their children would be seen as ordinary. All a parent of a missing child has to say is, “She’s my little girl and I love her and I want her back.” That’s enough to get people to rally to your side; no need to imply that there’s some objective reason anyone outside the family would want the missing child. I’ve always thought the idea some crafty person acting on behalf of some “ring” was stalking Madeleine is, to use the McCanns’ favorite word, ludicrous. It is no insult to assert that Madeleine was an ordinary child who would not be any use to people who kidnap cheap labor. It is even doubtful to me a pedophile would go to any trouble to grab a four year old under Madeleine’s circumstances that night. Any pedophile who would want a four year old would be talking-to-the-walls crazy, therefore incapable of planning an abduction that a CIA operative would have had trouble pulling off. Equally silly is the theory that someone just wanted a child. For better or worse, we live in age where people can commission human beings by buying gametes and hiring surrogate mothers. Not to mention, there’s just old-fashioned, gray market baby buying. Anyone with some money could get any kind of infant he likes, so no need to hire what would have to be a very expensive child snatcher to steal sweet, ordinary Madeleine McCann from her bed. The most likely scenario is that Madeleine died accidentally and the the parents lied about it so as not to jeopardize their medical licenses or reputations. Once the lie was started, turning abck was not an option.

Murat is a strange one in this case. There’s so many conflicts to do with him.
Does anyone have a link to his hiring of a car in PDL? There was a story from the girl in the car rental company in PDL saying Murat frantically wanted to hire a car for 3 days.

good afternoon all - with ref to the dna evidence, being no expert, but also curious about it, surely the forensics can decipher different things from dna. surely by process of elimination they can work out what what from all the evidence?

Regarding the Daily Mail:
“Madeleine: ‘ALL scientific evidence is contaminated’ after Portuguese police mistake”
Since the news came out reporting the unexpected lateness from the Forensic Labs DNA tests, i said that those reports would never come out without Team McCann’s Manipulation, and now i believe that we will never know the truth about what happened, and we will never see justice for Madeleine.
I guess the PJ are by their own now. I hope they can show us what happened without the help of the DNA tests. But my hope are fainting…
The “machine” behind all this seems to be very powerful, but nothing is more powerful then people’s union… I’m waiting to see what is going to be the next thing manipulated by this kind of “machine”.
However, i’m not fearing for that. I don’t live in the UK, and those living there should be the ones fearing it, but its their fault because they do nothing… until the day this will directly touch their skins. But then it will be too late… and yes, i fear for you my brothers in god.
The only justice i trust now is in God’s justice, and i’m sure the McCanns and all theirs supporters will face it.
I give up… i saw everything by now…
Goodbye guys! And thanks for your support on the Portuguese ppl.

Stevo Says:
“Without getting too controversial I’ve always suspected recreational drugs in there somewhere. Anything past that is too incredible and mind boggling.”
Here is where I finally disagree with you. Why are you reluctant to consider something “too incredible” or “too mind-boggling” when everything about the McCanns has lacked credibility and been excessively mind-boggling?
I think the dismissal of Amaral was staged. They ALLOWED him to make those anti-British statements and then took the opportunity to install an EXPERT ON PEDOPHILIA in charge of the case. They allowed the McCanns to think that maybe Amaral was dismissed for being too aggressive, but subsequent comments could also be interpreted as his NOT BEING AGGRESSIVE ENOUGH (the criticism of disorganized papers lying about the office, etc). And the PJ have made it abundantly clear that they are POSITIVE the girl is dead. The new chief did not bring any change of direction.
So what it means is that they are going after “the big fish” and for that reason are letting the McCanns swim about for a while longer. IMO.

There was a case I think it was up here in Scotland a while ago where a WPC was accused of having contaminated evidence solely by leaving a fingerprint on the scene. She was aquitted later if I remember correctly but she had to leave the police nevertheless. Anyone remember that? Got to check that.
But I believe - here you go! - that a fingerprint left behind means different things for different people. For the police it may well be the meaning of - not usable because we don’t know what else unrelated to the actual case we will find and that will probably lead to false assumptions, thus the whole evidence is not usable.

I think the PJ are taking so long just to re-interview the Tapas, that the case will drag on until Spring. This will give them more of an advantage on the body turning up by accident.

I think most of us including me keep forgetting a very important deadline which is approaching and may be of big influence in this case.
Isn’t the law in Portugal due to change in mid November? I mean the law relating to secrecy etc?
If so, this seems to me a good reason why the PJ are waiting. Perhaps once that deadline is reached they will be able to do a lot more than they can now.

No, it isn’t. It’s a really strange thing to say. ‘Madeleine is not in her bed/room’ - ‘I can’t find Madeleine’ : Those are sentences I can relate to. ‘They’ve taken her’ is rather weird, since the McCanns have 2 daughters.
October 30th, 2007 at 3:43 pm
489. It’s only a theory because so much of this case doesn’t make sense. My theory is that BOTH countries are blackmailing one another. Portugal found sosme extremely filthy dirt of at least 1 British vip early in the investigation (within the first week or two). Voila! British government says something like ” I wouldn’t continue with that line of investigation or this is what we’ll expose.” And then they show PM Socrates something which is even more scandalous than the sinister shit the Poroguese have on a person or persons of authority from the UK. See what I mean?

Ta! I remember very well the weeks before they were named as Arguidos and they were repeatedly told they WERE NOT suspects. Then all of a sudden things changed. Remember it?
I think it’s the same thing here. The Press have been putting out silly made up stories after two weeks ago when we had some verbal tennis between 24 Horas and the McCanns. I think they’ve been softened up ready for the big fall.
How can evidence be “contaminated” because you have a fingerprint of a Portuguese policeman? Think about it. That means the fingerprint has been identified and eliminated.

What are you posing as? I have a few suggestions but with your overactive imagination I’ll leave you to come to the conclusions.
And stevOLE, why these constant references to ‘masturbation’ and ‘anal’ activity? Are you sexually frustrated? It seems very inappropriate to make these insinuances in a forum about a missing 4yr old.

488 — Stevo — I agree. I think the PJ’s re-eancting of the “abduction” is a positive sign that the PJ anticipate the McCanns’ defense arguments. I predict one or both of the McCanns will be arrested before December 1. (I think the PJ will not want to arrest them much after that, else the McCanns can paint themselves as victims who are being “persecuted during their first Christmastime without Madeleine.” What do you think? Do youthink there will be an arrest soon?

Note to Real Stig:
on another recent ANORAK thread, you claimed that Calpol NIght was not available in UK/Europe prior to Madeleine’s disappearance. I asked you to provide a source for this info, but you did not. Moreover, the issue was whether or not Calpol Night was available to UK doctors. I showed you that the manufacturers had approval before December 2006.
Do you have pertinent references on this issue or not? If not, please issue a retraction for your previous misinformation. Thank you.
