689 - Stevo - He was brought up in Portugal but retained a string of British connections. In England in the late 1990s he embarked on an affair with a married woman, Dawn, who would later become his wife, living in Norwich with their daughter Sofia, now four.
Murat worked as a car salesman in Norwich but craved something different. He certainly appears to have found it.
Friend and former car sales colleague Gareth Bailey said Murat decided at the end of 2004 he would start a permanent new life in Portugal, and emigrated with Dawn and their daughter.
He said Murat found work as a self-employed property consultant, helping to market and sell homes on the Algarve.
But Mr Bailey said: “Dawn was unhappy in Portugal and became homesick. She is a Norfolk girl and all her family are in Norfolk. She only stayed with Rob for three or four months in Portugal before she decided to come home with Sofia.
“He had already got himself a life out there so he decided to stay. At first he kept his relationship going with Dawn and kept flying back to the UK to spend time with her and their daughter.

I am a homeless person living on the streets and busking for a living, but now the McCanns have been found to be innocent, I am willing to sell one of my thirteen dogs and give the proceeds to the fund.
We should all get behind the McCanns now and give whatever we are able.

Probably the mention of pedophiles is because it takes one to know one? I wonder what the protocol is between pedophiles? Are they weasles towards each other or do they bond? This murky world is almost surreal. Do pedophiles club together and help each other for instance or do they like to dob each other in for fear of being caught themselves?

Interesting. I keep returning to the idea that they didn’t want Madeleine for some reason. She was perfect enough? We know she cried 18 hours a day as a baby. Did Kate reject her? Did she have problems? Perhaps the twins were better value for money. I get seriously depressed at the thought of the McCanns living the high life and getting away with neglect, accidental death or even murder. Gerry really seems to be getting off on it.

I am not inclined to think sexual abuse was involved. But then, an indication of some form of abuse to the British nanny, who was immediately sent away by MW, may be the reason for that unexpected and unexplained exit. Something is definitely up there.
I think it’s more likely that someone hit Maddie and that physical abuse was present at the time of her arranged disappearance.

He listed his home address as 3 The Street, Hockering, Dereham. Did he live in Norfolk or near Exeter?

645 Jacqueline Just got in and trying to catch up quickly before I go out again….I’m intrigued by your earlier posts about the photo of the child with the berbers…What I don’t understand, is why Madeleine would be not worth more to them in terms of a reward from the fund set up rather than being trafficked as a child for a paedophile ring?…Or is it too dangerous for them?

A Nanny - not named - saw a man lurking in bushes outside the McCanns apartment, who sprinted off when she saw him - it was not when the McCanns were staying in the resort but she was minding kids in the same apartment at the time.
