President 2008: Hillary Clinton’s Aliens And Dennis Kucinich’s UFO

THE gloves are off in the Democratic race and knuckles are pointedly squarely at Hillary Rodham Clinton. It’s no surprise really considering there is just two months to go before the first primaries.

Last night’s Democratic debate in Philadelphia was described as “tense and combative” by The New York Times, as the  candidates turned their guns on Clinton, who is leading the pack by an average 26 percentage points in national polls.

The charge was led by second-placed Barack Obama and third-placed John Edwards, who attacked Clinton for her stances on Iraq, Iran, trade and which candidate is best positioned to take on the Republicans. Though much of the pre-debate hype was focused on Obama’s planned offensive, it was Edwards who commentators believe landed the most blows.

“…For all the attention Mr. Obama drew to himself coming into the debate,” opined the Times “he was frequently overshadowed by former Senator John Edwards of North Carolina, who speaking more intensely repeatedly challenged Mrs. Clinton’s credentials and credibility, and frequently seemed to make the case against Mrs. Clinton that Mr. Obama had promised to make.” 

At one point, presidential hopeful Bill Richardson came to Clinton’s defense chastising his rivals for their negative views: “You know what I’m hearing here, I’m hearing
