FACTS as we know them,4,000 pages of evidence collected by police,so they think they have a case,passed to public prosecucter who had 10 days to study evidence ,HE TOOK ONE,then passed to judge who didnt throw it back,new head of police,all lines of investigation still open ,but seen nothing to show that up till now investigation has been heading in wrong direction,thats all we know…….so far 3 seperate departments have seen evidence that we havent and have decided something has to do with parents,forget stories of accidential death ,those started by family,the portugese have evidence and are making sure case dosent fall down at trial time

Judge- said much the same about the mortgage payments on a previous thread. Why not have a word with the lender, the Mcs don’t exactly need to explain their predicament, ask for payments to be froze and extend the term of the mortage to compensate for the shortfall on payments. Unless the Mcs got their mortgage from a loan shark.Very good PR for the lender, before the Mcs went public about them using the fund to pay said mortgage.
As I’m typing this I have just had a thought.
Maybe the money lender is not sympathetic to the Mcs due to their stance on safe childcare.
Maybe the money lender does not want to be seen to advocate such actions.

The Data Protection Act is a bit like that “innocent until proven guilty” doctrine. It has got out of control and now it allows people to quote it all the time and conceal any type of shit they don’t want anyone to know about. Over here in the USA, people can go to the courthouse and inspect public records like how much someone just sold their house for, instead of the UK system where people “invent” tales of how much they got for their house. When I rented a car over here last year, they asked me my US social security number so they could run a credit check before I rented a car - all because I was paying cash and didn’t use a credit card. You might see these things as snooping but you forget that credit is where you use someone else’s money for another purpose. The whole point about credit is DISCLOSURE.
Over here, there’s been plenty of swindlers taking funds out of the Katrina Fund. Some didn’t even live anywhere near the hurricane disaster zone. But they lied to get money. The McCanns should DISCLOSE their financial situation before taking a penny out of that fund for their own use. It was never donated for that purpose. The fund managers have moved the goal posts as they’ve gone along.
People 6 months ago did not donate for them to be off work for 6 months.
Why do you stand up for these people through rain or shine? I must say you are one loyal McCann.

968- Judge dread- (and Thea for agreeing with him). You totally did not answer my question. “Whatever it takes” is not an answer. I ask you: What do you think they SHOULD be doing, if not what they are doing? Where and how should they be looking for her? Because when they DO something (hire private detectives, create a hotline, put up posters, go on TV to raise awareness, etc), people complain they are “obstructing justice” or otherwise false. So, pray tell, what could the McCanns do to satisfy your desire to see them “DO” something to “earn” their money.

Pitty found this curious definition of the loss of one’s pet - comparable with the death of a loved one, unless you are a pet (or child) dying in the McCann’s house!
